Hi Paul, I am very disappointed with your review. I contacted you to let you know that the apartment you booked was getting a complete renovation and unfortunately the builder would not be finished in time for your booking. I apologised and gave you a lot of notice. I offered you a full refund, no questions asked, or I could still do the booking, if you stayed the first couple of nights in a 2 bedroom then the remainder in a 3 bedroom, both of these apartments would be in the Orchid Residences which was the Hilton. I specifically said I would organise 2 extra rollaway beds for the couple of nights in the 2 bedroom apartment. The amount of money you paid was less than half of what the usual rate was for the Hilton, but I wanted to do the right thing by you. When I contacted you, you said you were more than happy to get this upgrade etc,.,., I am not sure if you did not tell the other parties in your group, and they have given you a hard time, so you decided to take it out on us, but we did the right thing by you and advised exactly what we were offering, and alternatively offered you a full refund if you preferred to stay elsewhere. It was unfortunate that the apartment you originally booked was not available, but it was out of our control, as it was between the owner and the builder. And once again, I do apologise for that. Once again, I am very confused and disappointed with the review, as it simply does not reflect the professionalism we demonstrated with dealing with this situation.

Glad you were happy with your apartment and found our key collection system worked for you. The Chevron Renaissance Resort is one of the top resorts in Surfers Paradise and well positioned close to the beach as well as the entertainment and shopping district. It is only a short distance from the GCHR office and our system allows you to collect your keys from our safe deposit box no matter what time you arrive. We hope to see you again

Thanks for your comment Josh. We were a little surprised by your remark about the condition of the unit. If you have specific comments we would be pleased if you would write to us. But of course you understand that self-contained units suffer from normal wear and tear. All apartments managed by GCHR are regularly maintained and we carry out an annual refurbishment program in association with apartment owners. We have taken note of your comment and will look at this during our review this year
