About this property

Good vibes and family times

A beautiful 3-story home in the heart of the Village of Nags Head, a friendly neighborhood nestled in a golf course community. This clean, bright home boasts 4 bedrooms, 3 full baths, and a main floor half bath. There is also a room on the ground floor with two bunk beds that can sleep 4 people. There are decks on both levels including the roof deck which has 360 views of the ocean and sound with built in benches for added comfort. The entertainment room downstairs includes a pool table, TV, and wet bar as well as a corner office area. PLEASE NOTE that linens are not provided, and that our renters must provide their own sheets, pillowcases, and towels (bath/kitchen). This is for sanitation and minimize your cleaning fee :)

Please note this house is not pet friendly (sorry!!).

Conveniently located within walking distance to the beach, members-only pool club (with snack bar and beach access), golf course, private sound access pier, shopping, restaurants, and the soundside park of the Village of Nags head. Local Attractions also include the Wright brothers memorial, Jockey’s Ridge sand dunes and hang gliding school, Nags head Outlet mall, jet skiing, paddle board rentals, mini golf, and First Flight adventure park.

As of May 2024: the top level full bathroom has been fully remodeled with a beautiful walk in shower!

Spacious and Family Friendly

We enjoyed our first time in the Outer Banks and this was perfect for our large family with lots of kids. The setup and details made it comfortable, and the location was great for accessing everything in the region. We especially enjoyed the pool access at the Village Pool Club, we were there everyday, it allowed us to go between the beach and pool perfectly.

Great location and plenty of room! We had a couple of issues but they were addressed almost immediately. Matt responds very quickly to messages and questions. Be sure to pay attention to the listing and bring linens, towels, toiletries (including hand soaps) as well as paper products such as toilet paper and tissues. Enjoy!!

Nice thanksgiving break

The house worked well for us and fit our expectations. The house is showing its age a bit with worn carpet and dated fixtures, but that is par for the course really, and worth it to be able to bring our dog! The pool table needs chalk which we didn't get a chance to go pick up. The sunsets on the sound were fantastic! No complaints.

OBX Family Vaca

Overall great stay and experience. Check in was easy, communication was great, house had plenty of room for our family of 10 with room to spare, and conveniently located. The dryer took a very long time to dry anything but not a huge deal to us as we let things dry outside. Dryer issue definitely not a make or break on this place. Would stay here again.

Perfect getaway in OBX!

The property was clean and very accommodating for our entire family. Centrally located with easy access to everything. The 360 deck on the roof is a great place to have your morning coffee! Game room was a hit with the kids. We couldn’t have asked for a better location. Matt is awesome and very easy to work with. We highly recommend this property.

House is beautiful. Easy check in. They do not provide linens which wasn’t told to us until the night before. I left linens for the next guest. Fireplace leaks pretty bad especially during heavy rain. Bath tub with jets does not work at all won’t even when on. Outlets in master bath and 2nd floor bathroom doesn’t work. Owner has offered partial refund which I yet to see.

Fantastic location, great host!

This home is exactly as it looks in pictures. Perfect for our family vacation. The location is great! It’s about 300 feet from a plaza with Food Lion, Duck Donuts, Fresh Market, and numerous other stores. It’s a 2 minute drive from the beach club, which was a great place to hang out all week! Beautiful beach/great pool/good food and drinks. Matt is a great host, and responded to any questions we had in minutes! We especially loved the upstairs balcony… with views of the sound and the ocean!

Has potential, but needs work.

The house potential and is located in a convenient and friendly location, however it needs a lot of work. I can't say when was the last time people stayed in the home, but it was not cleaned as it should have been. The vents had a lot of dust build up. On the first floor as you enter, spiders had built multiple webs that hadn't be cleared. The downstairs shower was not cleaned properly and we dealt with an ant problem in that bathroom the entire time we were there. Additionally, though you could tell that the upstairs bathrooms had been cleaned, they were not cleaned as they should have been. There was still visible dirt when we went to clean the tubs. The blinds in one bedroom need to be replaced because they are broken. The house smelled of mildew and needs to be thoroughly aired out. Moreover, the carpeting needs to be completely replaced. The staining that was visible should not be accepted. Lastly, the top floor toilet had a very distinct odor that couldn't be corrected during our entire stay and should be checked. A cursory cleaning of the property is not sufficient. We came prepared with our own cleaning supplies, but didn't expect to clean as much as we did in order to feel comfortable.

Moldy smell, Renter Beware

The house location is great: nice neighborhood and pool with beach access. The host was easy to communicate with, tried to be accommodating. However, the house was dirty throughout, especially the mold present in the tracks of the sliding door and all around the doorframe of shower door in the master bath. The grill was rusted and unusable. The towel racks were falling off the wall. Tv / internet broken 6 of 7 days, 2 firesticks missing altogether, and the roof leaked the first night there, which the host admitted does happen. There was a very strong moldy, musty odor in the master bedroom, and inside the drawers of the furniture. If your family is at all mold sensitive, do NOT rent this house!!

Wonderful Location

There were a few issues, but were quickly taken care of. This house was the perfect house for two families to enjoy a nice and relaxing vacation. Matt was very attentive with any issue that we had. The house offered lots of space and was quite roomy. We were impressed with how quiet this home was. It had very comfortable beds and plenty of hot water for 8 people to have showers. Washer and dryer was so helpful when we needed to do laundry. The pool was a perfect place to spend your days at with an amazing snack bar. Food and drinks were great. The nearby beach was nice, clean and offered fun in the sun. Overall, we were very satisfied with our stay.

We greatly enjoyed our stay. It was a great house with a nice location. We enjoyed the option of the beach and pool. The cleaning company did have to be called back upon check in but the landlord was very accommodating about it and was easy to work with if/when other issues arose throughout the week.

Place was great. Plenty of room. Pool table came in handy on the colder/rainy days. Its a little further from the beach access than i prefer to walk, esp crossing such a busy road. But still a short drive.

Great location, great house, great stay

My family and I rented this house for a family vacation. The communication and check in process with the host was smooth and easy the whole way through. The house was very comfortable for us all (6 adults and 2 kids). The kitchen was well stocked, the house was clean, and the location is awesome. We also really enjoyed hanging out on the upper deck to watch the sun sets. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this property for anyone considering a stay in the outer banks.

Perfect Vacation!

We had never been to the OBX before and I planned this vacation completely blind! It was a HOME RUN. The location of this property is PERFECT. Access to the grocery store to the outlets, beach, AMAZING BEACH FRONT POOL CLUB, to the “Hawaiian sunset” pier from the private community dock. Perfect for biking! The owner was very responsive and helpful and we all had an amazing time!!!

A New Jersey native, working in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, I've been renting houses in the Outer Banks my whole life. Some good timing and opportunity allowed me to finally buy a place in Nags Head for my own vacation use and renting out to others while I'm working back in Pittsburgh. I stayed in this house several years back and loved it so much, I bought it in September 2019. I'm a big music enthusiast (listening and creating), and I love the outdoors (beach, mountains, city traveling).

Why they chose this property

This property is located in the Village of Nags Head, with an HOA to ensure that a certain level of upkeeping/standards are kept up with. There's a golf course in the village, a shopping center within a 5 minute walk, and a pool club membership during the summer months, with tennis courts and private beach access. This house has one of the highest sky decks in the neighborhood, so you'll have a gorgeous view of the area for your morning coffee ;) There's also a sound access point for crabbing, fishing, or just enjoying the sunset.
