Comfortable and well equipped house in a great location on the edge of the National Park. Lots of wildlife visit the property and there's easy access to town. Recommended for a peaceful long or short stay.

I stayed here with our family of five and found it very comfortable. We loved the fire and large back garden. The vehranda was also lovely to sit on and soak up the sunshine. So close to walks and cafes. Thanks for a wonderful holiday.
Loved our 4 night stay and will be back. Fabulous location, walking distance of Main Street of Halls Gap , with the back garden overlooking the bush and mountain. House beautifully fitted out, so we ate in , enjoying the fire pit in back garden and then moving inside to enjoy the fire.

Thanks for your review and comments. We have taken your thoughts onboard and given our beloved holiday house a little spruce up!
Great spot abutting the national park with a peaceful meadow where Roo's graze and a stream with frog's croaking in the evening. Neat house with a warm fire. No complaints. Thanks for having us!
Clean, comfortable well equipped house, close to town. Not as isolated as the photos suggest, but good aspect over national park. Kangaroos everywhere and abundant birdlife. House is a large weatherboard with bare boards through the open plan living area. We did not try the wood fire, rather we relied on the aircon. However be aware if coming in the cooler weather that the house is very chilly and the aircon does struggle in the morning.
Otherwise happy with the property.

Short break hiking and wildflowers
We were a bit disappointed with the house as the bbq was not clean and didn’t work once we cleaned it. Couldn’t get oven to work. One electric blanket on bed not working despite 2 degrees overnight. Television has shocking sound and house was not that clean. Despite communicating concerns to owner nothing was done during our four night stay. Won’t stay here again
Absolutely stunning spot in Halls Gap. Loved our time watching the wildlife from the balcony and lounge area. Amazing home away from home with everything we needed in a great location .
Beautifully kept property in an ideal position, easy access to main street! Beautiful bush setting, kangaroo's in the backyard. Cosy cottage with lovely wood fire heater as well as split system. Very comfortable!!
We had a Dad and teenage son getaway but with 3 bedrooms a wife and 2 more little kids will suit and still enjoy. A great outlook out onto the bush with suitable bbq and fire pit.the inside wood fire place kept us toasty along with electric heaters and blankets.Close enough to the village for a 10min walk or 5 minute bike ride to get your cafe lattes/ice creams. Some waterfall bush walks straight from the cabin with all the other walks a 5min drive away, we'll be back!

Why they chose this property
THINGS TO DO IN HALLS GAP, GRAMPIANS NATIONAL PARK Watch the Kangaroos feeding at dusk and dawn from your Grampians accommodation. Serenity has an expansive deck facing the Grampians National Park and we guarantee you will enjoy breakfast whilst watching the animals graze in the nearby bush.
From your Halls Gap accommodation, stroll along the fire access track (20m past the Serenity accommodation back gate) through the sites and sounds of the great Australian bush and into Halls Gap township for an ice-cream.
Take the 1.2 km walk from Serenity Halls Gap to Clematis Falls, which starts 100m down the fire access track (towards town and clearly signposted) and when feeling energetic extend the walk to Chatequa peak, on to Venus Baths and then back into town for another ice-cream, a double header this time!
Pack a picnic and drive through the Grampians National Park to Zumsteins picnic area. The Tourist information centre in Halls Gap will provide you with maps.
Drive and enjoy a walk to the base of the Grampians Mackenzie Falls or view the spectacular waterfall from the easy to access lookout.
Drive to Boroka Lookout providing 180 degree views over Halls Gap and Stawell.
Hike to The Pinnacle, one of the Grampians most popular walking trails. In the warmer weather, this is best done before the heat of the day. There are a number of walking options to reach The Pinnacle, varying in distance and difficulty.
Visit the wineries of the Grampians together with the neighbouring Pyrenees vineyards, and sample a range of the local produce on offer.
No trip to Halls Gap is complete without a day with the family at the Halls Gap Zoo. Check out our blog for more details.
Share a meal at our favourite restaurant in town, 'The Kookaburra' and let Von know we sent you!
