Welcome to Lac Courte Orielles lake! LCO is a spring fed 5139 acre lake with a max depth of 90 feet. The lake water clarity is very clear. Our cottage is located on the waters edge on a quiet private road great for walking, running and biking. It features 235 feet of shoreline to ensure privacy. This includes a private dock with two adirondack chairs to relax on at the end of it. This 1928 cottage was recently restored with a washer/dryer onsite. The cottage has two bedrooms, two baths and the living room has a beautiful stone wood burning fireplace. There is a fire pit and a charcoal grill available as well. Truly a unique relaxing location with a go back in time vibe.

The cottage is close to Hayward, Stone Lake and Spooner for day trip adventures or take advantage of this premier lake, by paddle boarding, swimming, fishing, canoeing or kayaking. Sit back and listen to the loons call in a delightful location.

Winter activities are abundant as well. Enjoy the American Birkebeiner, snowmobiling or snowshoeing for fun!

Please note smoking and fireworks are prohibited on property grounds.

This was our third visit and as always everything was perfect. The cottage is so charming and has that "Up North" feel but modernized and the AC installed this year was a big plus.We hope to come back next year as this has been our favorite place to vacation. Thanks again for a wonderful time.

We spent our 40th Anniversary at this lovely property on Stone Lake. We were able to access the lake easily with our boat. The cabin had everything you could need!

Great Cabin! Great Lake! Great Vacation!

The cabin and its location on the lake are perfect for a relaxing week of sun, water, woods, and family. The cabin is perfectly appointed and so comfortable. Lac Courte Orielles was incredibly clean and refreshing. We saw several bald eagles soar over the dock every afternoon!

Cabin perfection!

This cabin was absolutely perfect! The inside marries modern comfort and amenities with classic quaint cabin charm. It was cozy, clean and adorable! The property had a great fire pit, excellent dock space and many great spots to sit and enjoy the lake. The owner communicated quickly when I had a question and was kind and very easy to work with. We had a wonderful week!

Charming cabin with open feel

This cabin is cute and perfect for a small family or group of friends. The fireplace is amazing & made our winter trip so cozy! We spent most of the time in the cabin, relaxing, listening to podcasts or watching Netflix & just recharging our batteries! It was a perfect escape. I imagine it’s beautiful and fun in the summer, too!

Vacation with frieinds

This home is newly remodeled and it is beautiful! All high end appliances and finishes. Many homey touches. Windows all the way around. Beautiful views of the lake. We all were very comfortable there. Great road for walking our dogs. We enjoyed kayaking and hiking. The lake is a premier lake in the area. We would definitely return to this home.

Beautiful getaway

Thank you for sharing your beautiful little cabin with us. We absolutely enjoyed our trip. Everything was as described. The place was very clean and well appointed. The area was great for being in the great up north. The only items I would suggest is to have a leaf blower available for guest to clear the deck area and provide some space for guests to store their dry goods. We have the opportunity to see a bear and fox in camp. The 'bear-proof' garbage can worked perfectly.

Perfect cottage on the lake

My family and I really loved this beautifully renovated cottage. We were a group of four so it was the perfect size for us with plenty of open space. Our favorite spot was sitting each morning on the wicker set near the kitchen enjoying the view of the lake and having our coffee. The kitchen has top grade appliances which were a joy to use and the big island a definite plus when preparing meals. The bedrooms were very comfortable and did appreciate the two bathrooms. Every inch of this cottage was well planned out when the renovations were done and done well. The lake was a real treat with hard sand bottom with a large swimming area. We hope to return again next year as this place is a real jewel.

A little gem on a beautiful lake

We stayed here for five nights just two weeks ago. First off, the owner - having graciously transferred our reservation one year due to Covid-19 - was extremely responsive and easy to communicate with. The property is amazing, with space to "roam" a bit while there. The shore is easy to access for swimming with clear water and a nice sandy/stone bottom. Lounging on the pier with a cup of coffee was a very nice experience. Windows overlook the lake on three sides to make the lake an integral part of the experience. We rented a fishing pontoon boat which greatly expanded our lake access for swimming, fishing, and perusing the shores (nearby Angler's Haven is a fun stop for food/drink, fyi). Overall, we had a great experience that was even beyond the high expactations we had set.

The photos did not do this place justice. We were very happy to walk in to find entire walls of windows for expansive views of the lake and surrounding trees. Our little dog never tired of watching the squirrels perform acrobatics while trying to eat every last berry off the trees outside the kitchen area windows. This is a very quiet and relaxing place to visit. We would absolutely stay again.

It's a cozy little cabin right along Lac Court Oreilles. The place was clean. The area is quiet. Beds were comfortable. The space was plenty for my family of three (2 adults and 1 teenager). The lake is very clear with a shallow sand bottom here but if you want to wade in, I'd suggest water shoes as there are a lot of freshwater clam shells that can cut your feet. We also couldn't locate any towels in the place so had to acquire our own during our stay. Overall, would recommend.

This was our 2nd time staying at this cabin. Nicky was great with communication and responsive. Love the classic charm of the cabin and wood fireplace. Close to Hayward and the Birkie trails. Already rebooked our 3rd stay here for next yr.
