SOME CUSTOMERS COMMENTS ON THEIR STAY AT BAY RETREAT PORT ARTHUR DURING THE LAST 12 MONTHS
Maree said: We had a very relaxing 3 night stay in January 2014. It was so private and peaceful staying in such a lovely bush setting, yet so close to the water. It was great being able to see across the bay to the Dockyards at the Port Arthur Historic Site and the Isle of the Dead. The facilities were excellent and we especially appreciated the spacious layout and having a second bathroom/toilet. We have no hesitation in highly recommending the Bay Retreat as a well-located and comfortable accommodation facility on the Tasman Peninsula.
Lindy said: Our extended family stayed, unfortunately, for only 1 night at this sparkling clean and impressively well-appointed property. Very private but in a great position to access all the tourist spots on the Tasman Peninsula. Would definitely recommend!
Bob & Joy said: Comfortable and clean and tidy. Ideal home stay for a day or more and close to Port Arthur. Our two teenaged grandchildren from Queensland thought the accommodation was “wicked”.
Peter said: Our family of 4 stayed overnight in September and loved the house, and the close proximity to Port Arthur and surrounds. Found it good value and could have stayed longer.

This little house was beautiful. The nature surrounding the house was so peaceful. To view Port Arthur the day before we were booked was exciting to view across the water what we might see on our tour. The house had all that we needed including the warm heating in the bathroom which was great for us QLDers!

Just outside Port Arthur in a sleepy village called Carnavon Bay, Bay Retreat was a comfortable and ideally placed home to visit the Three Capes Walk as day trips. Quiet, peaceful and relaxing, Bay Retreat was a great place to stay.

My wife & 2 friends stayed at the retreat. The accommodation was excellent. There was everything you wanted for cooking & a lovely BBQ area outside. The water views looking back at Port Arthur were outstanding.

Clean and convenient location. Only issue was that I didn't receive any communication after paying the deposit -- this was likely an issue with Stayz and not the host. But I had a fright when I saw that my final payment was way overdue. As for the property, the setting is lovely and everything worked as expected.

A great place to stay when exploring the Tasman Peninsula, its centrally located to all historic and scenic sites. Would suit a family or two couples, and everything is there to cater for long comfortable stays.
Central to Tasman Peninsula highlights and a 20 minute walk to the location of Port Arthur Historical Site which can be viewed across the bay from the accommodation. The house is as presented on VRBO and situated so that occupants are not aware of there being any neighbors. Highly recommended.
Bay Retreat has an excellent location - easy to find from roadside yet private. Meticulously clean throughout. Well appointed and quite a treat for us four after hiking Three Capes Track; with room to spread out, separate bathrooms for two couples (note: main bedroom is mezzanine) and quality laundry appliances. Ready access to beach. Would recommend.
