Dolphin Lookout has prime position perched above the village of Binalong Bay, with sweeping views along the famous Bay of Fires coast to Eddystone lighthouse. Surrounded by native bushes and birds, the view from all angles is simply stunning. All comforts are provided, from CD/iPod/MP3 stereo, DVD, microwave, quality coffee machine, fully equipped kitchen, beautiful hand-crafted oak dining table, designer chairs, and quality commercially laundered linen. With three bedrooms, you can fit up to three couples comfortably, or alternatively, enjoy a cozy, luxury stay for one couple. You could sit here all day admiring the lookout and watching for dolphins, or take off for many walks and adventures in the local area. FREE HI SPEED WIFI NOW AVAILABLE.
We have made some recent renovations to make Dolphin Lookout even better. The master bedroom now has its own tiled ensuite bathroom. There has been a large modern main bathroom built, so the property now boasts two bathrooms. Not only that but all three bedrooms have been recarpeted, and two are fitted with brand new beds, and bedside tables. The third bedroom has been enlarged.
We have just fitted a modern full size fridge freezer - and there is a small freezer also available. A nice extractor fan is a new addition to the kitchen as well. Just to make things even more comfortable.
NEW DECK Best of all - we have enlarged the deck - with comfortable outside quality furniture for your enjoyment. From the deck you have wonderful panoramic views right from Grants Lagoon, Binalong Bay Beach, as well as the whole of the Bay of Fires - right up to Eddystone lighthouse. With native plants growing right up to the deck, the birdlife is amazing. And it is all very private and exclusive to you.
THE VICINITY
Dolphin cottage sits just above the white sand beaches and red rocks of Binalong Bay. Combining a sense of remoteness with access to nearby amenities in St Helens, with its supermarkets, charming bric a brac and antique shops, and the best fresh fish on the East coast. Further afield are Pyangana cheese factory next to the famous Pub in the Paddock, impressive waterfalls in lush rainforests, the historical tin mining site with world class mountain bike trails, the Eddystone Point lighthouse, the spectacular 'Gardens' - rocky outcrops of the Bay of Fires - and a myriad of beaches, inlets and lagoons to explore.
You can even walk down to the nearby "Gulch" and take a boat ride with Bay of Fires Eco Tours, which will have you looking at dolphins, whales in season, and seals, as well as the famous isolated Bay of Fires - best seen in its entirety from the water. Or walk to Merestä Eatery, less than 50 meters down the hill and enjoy breakfast, lunch or dinner - or even takeaway - to enjoy back on the deck.

A beautiful cottage, with stunning views of the Bay of Fires. The perfect place to end a Tasmanian trip. The house had everything you needs, was roomy and clean. You are moments from the beach, great drives and a short drive to St Helen’s and all it offers. In short… just perfect
We enjoyed our stay. Had everything we needed and great views.

Super! Dolphin Lookout is about to do even more improvements - so we hope you come back to see them soon. It is evolving into one of the best places to stay in Binalong Bay.
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Very relaxed location and property in a lovely spot. Little 1 percenters like a supply of decent coffee and quality kitchen items make a difference.
We had everything we required for a lovely relaxing stay. Including a magnificent view. Thank you.

Fantastic stay!
Our group of four had a thoroughly enjoyable stay for 2 nights at Dolphin Cottage. We were all sorry we couldn't stay longer! The Cottage has everything you could need and a lovely view over Binalong Bay. Highly recommend the trail around to Dora Point as a run or walk..

Glad you enjoyed the trail to Dora Point, through the bush, yet just above the red rocks of Skeleton Bay - the best of both worlds - Aussie Bush and the Ocean!
Wonderful cottage with fabulous views. Highly recommended.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review. It is a very relaxing spot and close to all that the Bay of Fires has to offer
Spectacular views very a short walk to the beach. Well equipped kitchen, games, comfortable beds, even though houses were close proximity still was very private. Thankyou for sharing your amazing property.
We had lovely stay, the place is very good holiday accomodation. Views are awsome, cant imagine anybody wanting to leave.

The best view ever.
The best position in a beautiful part of North East Tasmania, and a comfortable cottage to see it from. What more could you ask for? Dolphin Lookout is great.

A Home away from Home!
We only spent two nights at Dolphin Cottage but thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The cottage has amazing views, comfortable beds, fully stocked kitchen with thoughtful extras. It's a lovely quiet location where you can sit back and enjoy the beauty of nature. A superb restaurant is just below the property to spoil you if you choose to avoid cooking while on holiday!

Glad you enjoyed your stay. It really is an amazing location and very private, though close to everything.
Beautifully positioned for the great views and privacy this 'cottage' is surprisingly spacious and supplied with every basic and many special needs for a very comfortable stay. We've owned our own BNB at Eaglehawk Neck and know what is involved. Kim has done a great job with her attention to detail. We'll be back.

Just Awsome
This was by far the best place we have ever stayed in. The views from the balcony were breathtaking, just magic, loved it, never wanted to leave.
The place itself was spotless and the beds were very comfortable. Jan was very helpful with directions and tips on what to expect with regards mobile coverage on the east coast. All in all we had a magic stay.

So glad you enjoyed your time at Dolphin Lookout. The new deck is certainly proving popular, such a relaxing spot. Mobile coverage is really just Telstra, but Optus can be picked up about 5 minutes away. However with free hi speed WIFI at the house you don't have to worry!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the cottage. It had everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxed stay. Quiet and peaceful! The view from the living area, masterbed room and especially the deck was stunning! A very easy walk to the beach and a short drive to St Helens. It was wonderful to have the electric blankets on the beds as it got very cool on one of the nights. We would definitely recommend Dolphin Lookout Cottage to anyone!
This house has everything we needed - very comfortable. Beds are lovely and bathrooms new, large and airy. House was very clean. Great views from just about every room. Short walk down to beach and Merestos for beach, coffee and food. Highly recommend this house.
My sister, my 83 year old mother and I stayed at Dolphin Lookout for a couple of days and honestly, we all wished it had been for a week! Superb location, great accomodation (everything we needed, well laid out and accessible for an elderly person) and really friendly management and locals. We had a ball and will be returning.
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Bicheno. Thank you Jan your home was perfect
This was the third property we stayed in on our trip and by far the best. It was clean, as described and well stocked unlike others. Would definitely recommend. Thank you
