Spectacular 360⁰ oceanfront views of the turquoise sea and waves breaking on the reef, with rooftop lagoon views. Blissfully sway with the tropical breeze on your hammock watching pelicans and herons from your balconies. Two master bedrooms, two master baths, two guest bedrooms plus 2 guest bathrooms, each with rain showerheads and 2nd nozzle. For extra guests, each floor his its own queen sleeper sofa with bedding, and a spare twin bed in the bottom level guest room. Full kitchen on each floor, fully stocked with every appliance and gadget imaginable. Each floor has its own separate entrance. In each level there are two bedrooms and two bathrooms and full kitchens. Large furnished oversized verandas for outdoor living and dining and stargazing. Limestone floor tiles throughout the entire house and floor to ceiling in all 4 bathrooms. Cool off and relax after a day of island adventures in our beautiful brand-new pool. Villa Tortuga is the perfect vacation home for the whole family.

I love to get up early, make some Belizean coffee and watch the sunrise. Then walk down to the beach with my coffee and watch the birds hunt fish for their breakfast. Take a walk to the end of the pier next door and watch all the different fish swimming around the pier. If I get lucky maybe see some dolphins swim by or some eagle rays jumping out of the water. Very peaceful way to start the day with nature.

The property is located 7 miles from the hustle and bustle town. This newly built, modern property is far enough from town to be secluded and private yet just a golf cart ride away from town, secret beach, and tours. You will probably want to rent a golf cart which run about $50 day depending on season could be slightly more. There are a few resorts within walking distance if you want to go to dinner or out for drinks. You will fly into Belize City and either take the ferry which takes about 90 minutes and could be rough depending on weather. The other option is the small plane which takes about 15 minutes. I suggest the small plane. I can arrange the golf cart for you and have Patojo or Megan (the property caretaker and manager) meet you at the airport and take you to the house. We had a wonderful stay at Villa Tortuga. The house was great and really had everything you need for a big group. The pool was amazing. The hosts were very accommodating! The only reason this is not a 5 star review is because of the location being a little further out than we had expected (this was our first time to the island). It's about a 40 minute golf cart ride into town. However it was nice and quiet up north. There was really no beach area for a big party to hang out but that made the pool that much nicer. We did have a problem with the shower drain in one of the downstairs bathroom and the other downstairs bathroom did not have hot water. However the hosts were very quick to fix the problem with the drain. We had an amazing time and I would definitely recommend this property!

We had a wonderful trip!

Our experience with Villa Tortuga was wonderful. The owner Ken, along with Megan and Patojo went above and beyond to ensure our needs were met and help with any questions. The neighbors that live in the house next door are also very friendly and helpful. Our trip to Belize was wonderful and we had an amazing time using this Villa as the home base for all of our many adventures.

Great house. Very clean and very well outfitted with linens, kitchen wares/appliances. One AC problem was fixed within hours. Pool is fantastic. Megan, Linda and Patojo are excellent hosts with quick responses. Plus they arranged our golf cart and met us at the airport to help transport us and our luggage to the house. At the end of our stay, Patojo came to the house to transport our luggage back to the airport. Definitely would stay again!

A perfect fit

We stayed at this beach front property for a week. Our group consisted of 2 families with adult children. There were comfortable beds for everyone in rooms. Enough bathrooms with tepid water. Not sure if American standard hot water exists in Belize. And, 2 full kitchens that made getting up, having a quick breakfast and then out the door for excursions or if you rather stay at the house there is a pool.We were able to do laundry and the house had plenty of towels. The house has drinkable water too.One of the best assets to this property is the house manager, Meagan. She took care of our needs, questions, and helped set up golf carts, restaurant reservations, excursions, and more!.

Paradise!

Communication is wonderful. The family is very helpful. They had a golf cart waiting for us at the airport. We followed the driver to the grocery store. After that, we follow the host family to the house. They checked on us multiple times during our vacation to make sure everything was going smoothly. They made recommendations of things we might want to do. I highly recommend this property! This property is gorgeous! There are amazing Sunrise is every morning. We will definitely be back! I can’t say enough wonderful things about our experience..

Everything and more!

First off, Elmer was very responsive to every maintenance issue or question, and Megan helped us book several tours and excursions, and arranged for us to have our golf carts upon arrival at the island. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience! The Vrbo itself was perfect! More than enough room for the 7 people that eventually showed up. Ocean views from the rooftop and second floor balcony, and incredible star gazing from everywhere, but most importantly, the private pool. The pool was AMAZING! Two hammocks on both levels were perfect for lounging. Minor downside - it’s a bit of a long ride into San Pedro town. However, it meant we were in a pretty quiet and secluded area, and we felt safe the entire time. And the mosquitoes were kind of wild, but that’s just a reality of being on the caye.

Nothing short of amazing

The property was beautiful. We rented both floors and it fit ten of us comfortably. There is everything you can imagine from pool floats, extra pillows, towels, coffee makers, blenders and pots and pans, water and toilet paper. Everything was very clean and well maintained. The property manager was quick to respond to everything and very friendly. He went above and beyond and we are so grateful for him. Highly reccomend this place.

Beautiful Home

We had a large group (11) adults. The home was beautiful and well stocked. We all had plenty of room to spread out. The owner was quick to answer all my questions before and during our stay. I would totally recommend this home to anyone wanting to have a low key relaxing vacation. We found ourselves trekking to town almost daily. That was the only draw back for us as the golf cart ride was longer then we expected. We loved our time in Belize and this home.

Why they chose this property

Villa Tortuga is the perfect tropical paradise, located directly in front of one of the clearest and most gorgeous turquoise waters on the entire island. Its unique location north of town means that the reef is much closer to shore, which allows you to take a quick 20 minute kayak to snorkel or dive in one of the most spectacular and tourist-free areas of the protected Hol Chan Marine Reserve while enjoying the coral and umdersea life in a more private setting. An added perk is that there is not a wrist band requirement to kayak, snorkel, or dive out front and to the north, whereas it is required a bit south of the property. You will find an abundance of pink and purple cocoplums growing on the property, and plenty of coconut producing trees year round. In the spring, you will be delighted by the yellow butterfly migration; in the summer at dusk you will see fireflies in the bushes, and enjoy the year round harmony and beauty of tropicall birds singing, and the majesty of the local herons and pelicans iving, and the wonderment of the soaring frigates.
