This one-bedroom property pays great attention to detail to perfectly meet every guest’s needs. The location is wonderfully quiet and ideal for total relaxation. The kitchen is superb and fully equipped for all your cooking experiences!
This was hands down the best space we have ever rented. It was the exact vibe we were hoping for-cozy, beautiful, and perfect for a weekend getaway to just unplug. The kitchen was wonderfully stocked, and the thoughtful details were lovely.
Wife and I were looking for a couple of nights without the kids and this place was great! Probably one of the best outfitted places we have ever stayed. From included bottle of wine from a local vintner, snacks, extra blankets, well stocked bathroom with plenty of towels, even toothbrushes brand new in package.Kitchen had everything you needed to cook just about anything. Grilled a couple of steaks on the gas grill on the porch. Location is very quiet, you hardly know you are just minutes from Bloomington.Would stay here again in a minute!
The apartment was extremely clean and great for our two night getaway. Close to many adventures. The little details left by the host were much appreciated! Description was perfect
This apartment was absolutely perfect for my husband, me, and our Golden Retriever. It was virtually across the street from our daughter’s wedding venue, which made it incredibly convenient. The space was clean, spacious, and beautifully decorated with a cozy cabin feel. We also loved how it was tucked away in a peaceful wooded neighborhood. The host was so kind and accommodating — she even let me borrow a couple of kitchen stools to take over to the “getting ready” house when we realized we needed some for our make up artist. I’d love to come back for a more relaxing stay sometime!
Our stay was very relaxing. The property setting is outstanding. The apartment was up to date and all the amenities where outstanding. We enjoyed the covered patio and using the gas grill.
Very nice and quality place. Its above the garage and connected to the main house but did not feel like we were in a hotel or apartment. Loved the clean cabin feel and covered deck.
This house is so stunning and jaw dropping. It was so perfect. It exceeded our expectations. It felt like home. We love it so much, that we don’t want to leave.

Bloomington Cabin
Us staying at this wonderful guesthouse for 10 days is like stepping into a secluded nature spot. Whether you are planning a extended weekend vacation or a longer getaway - this cabin really offers a unique and memorable experience. The combination of its beautiful setting, great amenities and decoration, and proximity to local attractions makes it a top choice for nature lovers visiting Bloomington and Monroe lake area, we really enjoyed bird watching and cuddling the domestic nicest forest cat Earl.
The property was well maintained. Decor gave a luxurious homey feel. We only stayed a few days, but the clothes washer/dryer, closet space, and kitchen amenities would work well for a longer stay. The stairs to gain entry to the property are a bit of a hike, so anyone with a physical disability might have a hard time. It's an easy 15-20 min drive to lots of food and entertainment options. We enjoyed our stay.
The cabin had everything we would have needed. There are many options if you want to hike, do a little wine tasting or shopping. We traveled to Nashville which was about a 30 minute drive and spent time in Bloomington which was about a 15 minute drive. Thank you for sharing the cabin with us. It was beautifully decorated and so comfortable.
We booked this place for us to stay during the total solar eclispe. The place is fantastic! Beautifully well done. The property is stunning and truly relaxing. The hosts are unbelievably hospitable. Our time at this location for the total solar eclispe provided us with one of the BEST days of our lives from sunrise to sunset. We are truly grateful we came across this wonderful home. I don't know if we will ever be back to Indiana but boy do we have a SUPER good impression and if the opportunity rose again, we would stay at this place in a hot minute. Thank you again for everything.
Listing was as shown. Property owner was very helpful and easily accessible both before and during our stay - it is their residence you’re staying at - a beautiful apartment above the garage.
It was our first time boating at Lake Monroe and the owner provided helpful tips about launching the boat and even gave us a boat pass so we didn’t have to pay at the Four Winns Marina where we ultimately decided to put the boat in.
We were able to keep our boat at the residence as well which was helpful.
Our 13 yr old loved the cat, Earl who he finally saw and played with our final day. It was a highlight. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend the property.
This property was an absolute disappointment and falls into clear false advertising. It’s described as a 'cabin,' but it’s actually a loft above a garage that’s part of the owner’s home. The listing claims the owner may be on-site — in reality, they live in the same structure, and the noise from the garage door disrupts any sense of privacy or peace.
The yard was overrun with wasps, ticks, and dog waste from previous guests. As well as dog bones that were underneath the kitchen sink. If you're going to allow pets, the property should be cleaned accordingly — that’s basic hospitality. Within five minutes of letting our dogs out, one of them had a tick attached, which we had to forcefully remove. This is a serious health hazard — ticks can carry dangerous diseases, and we did not feel safe staying.
We had booked Thursday through Sunday but left within the first hour of arrival. It was simply too risky to remain there with our family. When we reached out to the host for even a partial refund, he refused — a disappointing and telling response. Based on our experience, I strongly suspect many of the positive reviews are not genuine.
This was one of the worst stays and hosts I've ever encountered. I would never recommend this property to anyone

Response from Bloomington Cabin, Mins to Campus/Lake Monroe on 25 June 2025
Hi Sabrina, the right vacation home is everything, and we're disappointed if this wasn't the one for you. We followed up with the homeowner after reading your feedback, and they wanted to share the following:-The listing clarifies that this is a guesthouse attached to the owner's home, and this was also discussed prior to your arrival when you reached out with concerns.-The garage door is used minimally and not between 10 p.m. and 8 a.m. to help ensure guests’ comfort and privacy.-The yard is regularly treated for pests, but we understand nature can sometimes bring unexpected visitors. We’ve flagged your feedback with the team to ensure everything is in great shape for future guests.-We’re sorry to hear about the dog waste and appreciate you bringing it to our attention—we’ve reminded the cleaning crew to double-check the yard and home between stays. Thanks again for your feedback—we’re always working to improve the guest experience.
Ronnie is a wonderful host. He greeted my family in the driveway and made us feel very welcome. The cabin is top notch with a first rate kitchen and spacious layout. The surrounding area is quiet rolling countryside. This is a beautiful and safe place to stay when traveling with kids. We will be back.
