Plum Lake Home Rental - 3 bedroom, 2 bath in Sayner, Wisconsin

You will find Four Seasons at Plum Lake in Sayner, Wisconsin a wonderful spot for any season. Four Seasons is a quiet retreat with sleeping for up to 8 people (4 is best in winter). This home has lodging on two levels each having full baths, with separate entrances. The deck overlooking the lake shore provides a fabulous view of Plum Lake, along with being a great spot for evening dining. This location provides comfort and surroundings that one would expect in the northwoods of Wisconsin.

Our home can be accessed without person to person contact at check-in.

The shoreline area is very well maintained area, with the sand very comfortable (tilled regularly). There is a fire pit at the shore, along with a new log swing.

We have three kayaks, two SUP's, a canoe and a licensed row boat available on site.

The lake bottom at our shore is "gin clear" and sandy. The depth is great for children for play at the shore. Off the end of the dock the depth is greater. We habve sand toys available for children. Take our noodles and enjoy the water!

Our rates are for up to 8 people, extra person charge is $100 per week. Our home is just minutes from Camp Highlands.

Plum Lake is a 1057 acre lake located in Vilas County. It has a maximum depth of 57 feet. The lake is very unique with its long north-south shoreline, making for a great ride on a pontoon.

Visitors have access to the lake from public boat landings (boat launch nearby). Fish include Musky, Panfish, Largemouth Bass, Smallmouth Bass, Northern Pike and Walleye. The lake's water is gin clear, great for swimming and water ski fun! Convenient access to the snowmobile trails for winter escapes.

One half of total costs including the $300 security deposit is required with reservation. Balance of total costs (which includes the $300 security deposit) is required 60 days prior to arrival.

We are a non-smoking property.

Our property rents from Friday to Friday in late May, June, July, August and September. We rent through the third week of October. We do accept short stays in early May and in October.

Thanksgiving time period rentals are accepted.

In the winter, we rent from Christmas time until early March. In this timeframe, we do not only rent on a weekly basis, but will accept weekend rentals.

All rates subject to State and Town Tax. We have to send you an additional charge for the Town of Plum Lake tax through VRBO. Check in is anytime after 2PM, check out time is by 9AM on your departure date. Access codes for the main door will be provided in the week before your arrival.

Check-out instructions

The host requires you to complete the following before checking out:
Strip any used beds and gather used towels
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights, lock the doors and return the keys
Please clean all dishes and utensils and place them back in the appropriate cupboard.
All used bedding sheets and pillow cases, along with any used towels should be placed in laundry baskets and brought to the basement laundry room.
All garbage and recycle items should be placed into the outside containers. Checkout is at 9AM sharp. Our housekeeper arrives at this time.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.

Two Couples Snowmobiling Retreat with Dogs

Our stay worked perfectly for two couples with dogs. The separate quarters arrangement helped keep the dogs in their own environment while we snowmobiled for the day. Access to the snowmobiles was on the lake and very close to Sayner and surrounding towns. If you do bring a trailer there is a space at the end of the driveway otherwise it might be a little difficult to get two vehicles and a trailer down the driveway. The cottage was rustic, quiet during the winter, stocked with all the essentials, and very clean. We loved the area for snowmobiling, and we would love to try bringing the UTV's and enjoy the beautiful lake in summer! Thank you for sharing your home away from home for a fun weekend of snowmobiling with friends.

A few things to mention, upon arrival we noticed the downstairs door and patio door was unlocked and we were unable to lock it when we left. It is the east patio door that we were unable to lock. There were no garage bags for the recyclables or the regular garbage. The two twin beds in the upper level are pretty worn out.Easy check in and check out. Excellent accommodation for outdoor activities. Overall we enjoyed the stay and would like to return next year around the same time.

It is so quiet you can hear the wings of the hummingbirds as they sip on the flowers on the deck! Perfectly clean, with kayaks and a canoe and bikes and the most beautiful lake view. We love it there.

Paradise on Plum Lake

We had a great stay at Four seasons at Plum Lake! Very beautiful location, lovely home and great amenities! The only thing we didn't like, was having to get to the lower bedroom suite from the outside with no inside access. It was torrential rain when we arrived and with summer it was doable--we said wintertime would be a bit more brisk heading downstairs! We loved all the Lake toys, pier, swing and firepit! We saw lots of Eagles, Loons, and deer! My 4- and 6-year-old Grandkids caught their first fish off the pier and screamed with delight! Very awesome place and time overall and wonderful memories! Great cabin for a Northwoods family experience!

Just returned from our week-long stay at Four Seasons at Plum Lake and we are missing it already. The Cabin was outfitted perfectly. We wanted for nothing both inside and out. Our family of six was very comfortable. Plenty to do on the water with the kayaks and SUP. The firepit was fantastic. Morning coffee on the deck was perfect. For the fishers in the group, we caught bass, northerns and plenty of pan fish from the dock. Sayner and St. Germain are just a short drive for anything you may have forgotten and Eagle River and Minocqua offer plenty if interested in shopping, a float trip or a kayaking adventure. Martin was wonderful to work with for anything we needed. We made many wonderful memories!! We hope to return Four Seasons at Plum Lake again soon!

Birthday vacation

We went out on the lake, played cribbage, went to town for ice cream shop, watched movies, and spent time together as a family. Beautiful sunsets on the lake. Loved drinking coffee on the deck in the morning. We enjoyed a nice campfire. We loved watching the ducks with their babies swim by and hearing the loons out on the lake.

Quiet encounters with nature

We stayed long enough to see the leaves change and fall.so many acorns falling on our heads! Cool weather was perfect for hiking, a bit cold for boating, but we got in 4 kayaking days and 5 trips out to fish in the motorboat. It was lovely

Nice place to get away!

We come here with my extended family - great place for family with kids and my brother/parents. Views are great, close to ski show, close to bike trail, great dining options 10-15 mins away. Overall, enjoyed our stay and hope to come back sometime!

Really amazing property for a week long getaway. We were slightly concerned the space would be tight for 6 adults and 2 toddlers based on photos but there was more than enough space. Tons of amenities and the beach was very well kept. Don’t miss out on the Plum Ski show if staying for the summer- highlight of our week!

Perfect Northwoods Experience!

This was our second year staying here and it was just as amazing as we remembered! Everything is quintessential north woods - from decor to the secluded peaceful outdoor lake space. The beach area was excellent sand for my 2 and 4yo to play. Adults spent time kayaking, SUPing and swimming. (Such a great perk that these are included!) The lake is very quiet (yet big!) and calm - perfect for these activities. We also rented a pontoon boat for a few days, it was fun to explore the lake! The downstairs room (queen, 2 twins and a bathroom) was a great setup for our young family! We could be loud with the littles and sneak out to the beach without disrupting the upstairs family. :) Also, we found the location to be ideal - close to all the towns in the area! I can’t say enough about how great this place is! We will have memories to last a lifetime!

Why they chose this property

Our parents bought this retreat in the mid-80's as a place to get away and enjoy life on Plum Lake. It has been a wonderful spot for our family members to enjoy for nearly forty years. Our home is just a few minutes from Camp Highlands for Boys.

In the summer, our home can handle eight people very comfortably. Our sandy beach is great fun for your children or granchildren! The view of Plum Lake is spectacular in all seasons, yet in the summer it is an especially enjoyable from the shore or our deck.

For winter fun, our property is very accessible to the snowmobile trails. As you come to the home on Razorback Road, you pass by the Razorback Ridges cross country ski trails. Our home's winter occupancy is best for groups of four. Our lower level bedroom and bathroom has an outside entrance, it can be occupied in the winter if a group understands and can accept that access.

What makes this property unique

This is a lake like no other! A long body of water is lends itself to water skiing, longs swims and great cocktail cruises in the evening. Plum Lake sits in a valley of sorts which helps keep the waters calm. The lake is quieter than most in the northwoods as well. - Class A Musky Lake, Walleye, Great Fishing.
