Through Way Beach House

Through Way Beach House is directly across the road from the beach. It is a basic 3 bedroom older style house and is self contained with a double carport and space for extra parking. There is an ensuite in main bedroom (shower, toilet, basin) plus another bathroom (basin and bath with shower head) plus a separate toilet. Offers bedding including pillows and blankets and light weight doonas, although would like VISITORS TO BRING OWN BED LINEN AND TOWELS. Some people choose to bring sleeping bags.
The bedrooms sleep 8 people altogether 2 double beds and 2 bunks. The house can get COLD DURING COOLER MONTHS and can HEAT UP ON HOT SUMMER DAYS. There is an electric wall heater in the lounge area. Although there is no air-conditioning, there's a ceiling fan in the lounge room and also one in the main bedroom. There's 2 electric portable fans for the 2 other bedrooms. An LCD digital television is situated in the lounge area. The kitchen is fully equipped to make a meal for a large family, including a KETTLE for your morning cuppa. House is one price only, for up to 8 people.
NO Wifi.
NO PETS. NO SCHOOLIES. NO GROUPS UNDER THE AGE OF 25 YEARS.
PLEASE NOTE this house was built years ago. If you're after modern, please don't book this house.


Locality

The house is 25mins from Geelong. The beach is a 4min walk away (walk a further 20 mins for the patrolled beach), maybe stopping off at the Dawn Cafe for coffee or hot food. There's a kids playground behind the cafe. Continue on another 5mins to the local family friendly pub for a bistro meal - has kids play area with trampolines.
The main shopping street with a supermarket is just a drive away, or maybe go north, to Ocean Groves Market Place filled with more shops and a supermarket.
Plenty of options outside of Ocean Grove such as the adventure water park (advertised on tv) 12mins, Queenscliff to catch the ferry over to Sorrento, or even to go fishing on the pier.
