Relaxing, homely time away with the kids.
Thank you so much for a beautiful few days away from the chaos of city life. It was wonderful to be greeted and treated with such warmth. The kids absolutely loved the experience and can't wait to come around again for another visit. The house felt like home, it was so cozy and welcoming. See you again soon!
So many activities for the kids to keep them happy and entertained. Wonderfully relaxing off-grid vibe. The property offered everything you would need in a family getaway - play equipment, animals, indoor pool. Farmer Rob was a brilliant and welcoming host. Thankyou!
Rob is a brilliant host, we had a whole heap of laughs with him on our girls weekend at the farm. The property is amazing with lots of attention to detail in the house and so many cute animals to cuddle and play with. This was a perfect location, environment, and space, it was everything we could have wanted - thanks Rob!!

Great experience for kids
Our 2 boys aged 4 and 7 had a great farm experience feeding the animals and riding on the tractor and quad bike with Rob. The property was spotless with the added benefit of a pool and games room, plus a trampoline and swings. The fridge was well stocked with bacon and eggs etc and the beds were very comfortable. Overall the property is highly recommended.
Wonderful experience for our three generation small family - quality time together disconnected from the world for a little while. Farm animals to feed and cuddle, a lovely covered swimming pool and games room to use , rural fields and quiet roads to walk on. Waitpinga Beach nearby also great for walking, or for the experienced surfer. Note that there is no wifi, and phone coverage is limited, but we saw this as a plus if you truly want a break from work and other demands.

What a gem!
Where can I start. We enjoyed every minute of our stay at this well appointed house. Lots of personal touch and very comfortable. We loved the hearty breakfast provisions. The kids loved the toy boxes and feeding the animals. Nothing was too much trouble for Rob and Tracey. And our days were finished off with taking a dip in the fantastic pool. We didn't even have time to play table tennis or pool in the games room or play a round of darts on the veranda. thank you for a wonderful time!
The property was clean and we'll presented. Lots of games and things for the kids to do inside as well as the amazing property, clean grass area and playground/swings for the kids. Really enjoyed feeding the animals and playing with the goats 😊
We had an absolute ball here and left feeling relaxed and refreshed. Our two favourite parts were feeding the animals and swimming in the (delightfully warm) pool. We have two young children 5 and 2 and they slept so well at night because of the activities and fresh air (major parent win). Could not fault the accommodation and Rob was an absolute gem, so great with the kids and a friendly face around the place. The rations were wonderful, plenty of food for our family. Loved it.
Our family of four spent the weekend at this property and had a fabulous time. Our boys got to experience farm life - feeding the animals twice a day, riding on the 4 wheeler motorbike and collecting eggs. The accomodation was warm and inviting with an indoor fireplace. Comfortable beds. Generous breakfast provisions. The kids loved the Games Room. Our host Rob was lovely and spent a great deal of time talking to the boys about the farm and ensuring our every need was met. Also took in some of the sights - Whisky tasting and fishing at Waitpinga. A great location. Would definitely recommend a stay here!

Quality
Very welcoming hosts (Rob and Tracy). Comfortable, very clean and warm accommodation. We stayed in winter and the fire quickly heated the whole place. Generous breakfast provisions supplied. Plenty of activities including games room and outside play area with trampoline, swings, cubby house and sandpit ensured the kids had plenty to do. They liked helping Rob feed the animals each day. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Highly recommended.

A wonderful experience for all ages
From the moment you arrive at Breakaway you feel welcome. The hosts and animals come out to say hi and you immediately relax.
The self contained home is so well maintained, large, private and so very very clean. The linen and towels are top quality and the beds so comfy. Even the fridge has provisions for a hearty breakfast - tomatoes, bacon, eggs, bread, milk, fruit etc etc - way beyond what you would find in most other self contained places. They seem to have thought of everything.
The activities are endless - or if you choose you can sit back and relax but since we rarely get the chance to experience farm life we wanted to do everything! Rides in the ute to feed the sheep and lambs, drop yabby (freshwater crayfish) nets in the dam, quad bike rides with Rob, kangaroo spotting at night, feed the chook's, collect the eggs, bonfires (if the season is right) - even the night sky is a sight to be seen - gorgeous :-) There's a trampoline that kept our daughter bouncing for ages, cubby house, swing set, billiard room, ping pong table etc etc
If your looking for accommodation in the beautiful Fleurieu Peninsula you cannot go past Breakaway Farmstay- excellent value for money and a treat for the whole family. Staying here will leave you with memories to last a lifetime.

Was a great experience for the kids (aged 5 and 9) they are still talking about it a week later. The accommodation was excellent and incredibly warm with your choice of fire or reverse cycle heating. The supplies for breakfast were first class and noone went hungry. The farm experience of feeding calves, chickens and sheep, collecting eggs and catching yabbies was far greater than expected. A fantastic opportunity to get away close to Adelaide and have that true farmstay experience.
