Very Private, Nice gardens, 24 hour power, Fantastic fishing, Area for kids to play, Fish cleaning area, Fire ring outside, go for walks in the bush. Nice areas to sit out side & relax, Vehicle wash down available, Close to beaches & local shop. Heaven on earth. Gods own country.
Please bring your own fire wood to burn in the fire pit.

If you have motor bikes ( trail bikes ) you are most welcome to bring them. Just remember they need to be road registered. There real fun in the sand, you'll have a ball.

Another great stay

Second year we've stayed at La Bella Vita House and it is the perfect setup for our group. Convenient location with easy access to the eastern and western beaches for all your fishing needs!! Also the perfect location to stay to take in all the beauty that the top of the island has to offer (Sandy Cape, Wathumba, Champagne pools etc.) Will be back again next year.

Old boys fishing trip

Property well suited to a boy's trip. Outdoor undercover area great! Rustic interior has everything required. Bathrooms good. Showers great lots of hot water. Would suggest a bit of an upgrade to non stick pots and pans and oven dishes. Two big fridges and a chest freezer is absolutely great. Undercover parking a plus. Overhaul a great place to stay.

Location is great, we love staying at Orchid. Neighbours friendly, Eddie great with communication. But house was filthy when we rocked up, sheets look like they hadn’t been washed, ever. Most dishes were dirty, shower was filthy, cockroaches everywhere, the expected to vacuum, mop & clean everything top to bottom prior to leaving. Definitely left the house cleaner than when we got there. We didn’t expect hotel service but for what we paid you would think it would at least be clean upon arrival, or to have cleaners get in there between guests.

Suitable value for money

We left the house in a cleaner state than when we arrived, it could do with some safety improvements with the light switch for the kitchen and the unstable barby que that we did not use. There was only a few knifes in the cutlery draw, so we use them as needed. The hot water was great, the fans were defiantly needed in summer to help with the heat at night. Beds were comfortable. Great covered area to get a bit of the breeze when the mozzies weren't active. Overall, we were happy with the price for what the house was. My Dad tripped on the long grass, so a mow and tidy up outside would have been appreciated before we arrived. The fridge space was great. The gas stove worked well. The cups and glasses in the cupboards need a full washing, as we had to wash what we wanted to use beforehand. We vacuumed the whole house, mopped the floors, cleaned the fridges and stove and took away the rubbish when we left, so the next visitors should be happy with the state of how we left the house. The house kept us dry from the rain, and was an ok base for the time we were there. We had booked for 5 nights but only made it for the last 2 we had booked due to other commitments. With a few little fixups and cleaning this little house would score well for those wanting a budget type accomodation.

This is the most unhygienic place I've ever seen. The photos show it's nothing fancy but it's even worse seeing it. The place has never been cleaned properly, there are marks all over every wall and surface, spiderwebs everywhere (under couches and beds), you feel dirty being there. There was some sort of animal in the wall of the front room making a loud noise. The doonas provided states to fold and place back on shelf (dirty) & no idea if they get washed. Can't find in house details where it states you need to bring your own bath towels. The shower inside does not work (not in house details). The 'cleaning' utensils in kitchen are old, used cloth and brushes and the smell under the sink is rank. It is bore water (apparently the rain water had been used by previous person) so you need to take drinking water. We only stayed in this house as original house got double booked, it definitely let the trip down and after a great day at the beach, dreaded going back to the house. You need to vacuum and mop when you leave which i find strange, no disinfectant/bleach provided. Overall probably ok for a bunch of men on fishing trip but for a family, not advisable.

Unexpected

Going by the description on the website we did not expect what we got. Whilst the outside shower works ok, the floor floods and water pools behind the door and becomes dangerous to stand on. This property ONLY has a shower outside the main house, there is no working shower in the main house. The property is not suitable for families with young children or the elderly. The house is full of trip hazards with different due to types of flooring throughout. The mop at the property is dirtier than the the floor you are expected to clean and the vacuum is also broken. This property really needs a better bathroom facilities and a little maintenance would go along way. Glad this was only for a boys trip.

Good cheap option

Meet our needs for our annual Fraser family easter trip (6 adults and 3 kids). However, the place dirty and bugs everywhere (even in the beds of one room). Also, ad needs to clearly state that the only working shower is the one connected to the outside of the house. I questioned the shower situation before booking and was left with no impression that the one indoor shower cannot be used.

Spring 202

Orchid Beach is a beautiful location. The property was very old but functional. Absolutely loved the fire pit. We had a wonderful time. Plenty of space inside and out.Such a shame it was so filthy.

Dirty

We arrived before check-in and sat out the front we waited till 210pm. No one had arrived to let us in so we went and opened the gate to let ourselves into the yard as the kids were sick of sitting in the car. Then the lady arrived show us around. Both of the toilets were dirty, dish rack,window sills, under the beds and the only working shower were also dirty and had to be cleaned to make it liveable. The dining room is set on pavers with carpet over the top and the rock under your feet. There is a bad smell in the cupboard under the sink so they couldn't be open.

Great vacation

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at La Bella Vita House. Perfect location awsome undercovered area out back, under cover parking that was a huge benefit with unloading out of the rain. Great communication with the hosts and caretaker. Definitely would like to rebook for our trip to the island next year. Thank you to you Eddie for the use of your accommodation .

Great venue while fishing

So myself and 3 mates were on the island fishing, La Bella Vita was a great place to stay, set back out of the wind and perfect for our needs. The two fridges, freezer and outdoor area were a huge hit and it was great to kick back with an ice cold beer at the end of the day.

This is the third year we’ve stayed at Eddie’s house. Perfect spot for us. Close to Champagne Rocks and the top end. House is a bit tired, but has everything we need for an awesome holiday! We will be back. Thanks Eddie!

Friends 50th

Absolutely fantastic, each and everyone one of my family group had the most enjoyable stay TBH - it bought back so many memories for us all, when we walked in to the place. It reminded us all of our grandparents place. Going back in time, was a very pleasant feeling We couldn’t ask for a much nicer place to stay, it had everything that open and shut. Will definitely stay again, that’s a must!!!

Cheap Getaway

You get what you get with how it looks by the pictures. It is definitely in need for a big tidy up and clean. Grass & gardens were overgrown. House wasn't clean when we arrived and felt I spent most of my time cleaning up from previous guests. This place has big potential just needs some time put into it & the cleaner to actually clean the place once guests leave. Beds were comfy and overall was ok for a short stay.
