Volley ball court, plenty of solar power with auto start generator. Large fridge/freezer, tucker box freezer. Barbie and gas supplied. Pillows doonas supplied. Must bring own sheets, bath towels. This area is very picturesque with Champagne Pools, Indian Head, Waddy Point and freshwater lakes in small proximity. Things to do, fishing, nature walks, beach activities or 4Wheel Driving. Take the barge at either Rainbow Beach (Inskip Point), which puts you straight onto the 75 mile beach where you pass small townships, Eurong and Happy Valley, tourist spots like the Maheno and Champagne Pools to Orchid Beach turnoff. You can access the barge on the other side of the Island at Harvey Bay. This would include a lot of inland driving to get to the 75 mile beach on the other side. You could take this opportunity to see some of the tourist spots, eg. Lake McKenzie and others while you are on that side of the island. It's a good idea to check times as it is a lot easier to drive up the beach on low tide. Orchid Beach offers a remote 4WD holiday, with beaches and world heritage national parks. There are inland tracks to Watumba Creek or take a drive through Nagala Rocks to the cape and visit the lighthouse (the furtherest point on Fraser Island). Bring plenty of supplies. There is one shop (with bare essentials), petrol station and pub as this is a remote location.

Had a great few days fishing on Fraser, well equipped accommodation in great part of Queensland. Thanks Steve for accomodation and hospitality at ‘The Shed’.
Good location, particularly for north of the island. Clean, good size for seven of us. Kids liked the pool table and darts. Great shower. Simple but with all the facilities you need for a reasonable price.
This is our second time at the unit and have booked again for next year. Everything you need is provided and what isn’t provided is clearly explained in the listing. Good value for money and the minimum 4 night stay is excellent for us
Steve made our stay really easy. The property is just as you’d expect, nothing special but the perfect base for an island getaway. We had a few mechanical issues with a trailer and Steve went out of his way to pick up the parts off the mainland for us. Really appreciated and would definitely stay again.
Quite ,relaxing ,dingo's, bird 's, native trees & flowers, lots of blue water & sky & water to swim in Eli creek & Champagne pools. Beautiful.

Needs TLC
Property location and facilities are great however it definitely needs some TLC. Front fly screen was broken, fixed it ourselves for our stay and the general cleanliness of the property was not that great (insects, cobwebs, mould, etc). I understand it's a remote area but there are better options out there.
Great place for five fishermen, plenty of room inside and plenty of lawn area. Loved the Fire Pit, Fish Cleaning area and the Rosemary Plant in the boat.
The accommodation was perfect and supplied everything we needed. The location was great. Owners were good with communication and the towels were soft. We booked both units and had 8 in each.

This small home was a great place to come home to after a big day exploring the island. Had the conveniences needed to relax and recharge.
The unit was missing dvd player and remote to operate external HD devices, I managed to get hold of the other units dvd player minus a remote.
Some of the fly screens did have holes that I taped up as there were a fair amount of bugs and webs in the units ceilings and corners.
I would recommend this unit to fishermen that want a place to crash, drink ,bbq and socialize, not so much for a family with higher expectations. The water pump went out temporarily and smoke alarms went off once at 2am. The place does need some attention, I mentioned to the manager and he said he would look into some of the issues Cleaning and some dish liquid.
In saying that if you can be ok with those minor issues the place is a great blast off point for Wathumba, the cape and Waddy point.

I have replaced the powerboard that failed, causing the pump and fire alarms to go off. (Nice to know they work). The flyscreen is now fixed. DVD in the 2nd unit has now been replaced. (We were unaware it was missing). Consumables eg cleaning, toilet paper, etc. are the responsibility of the tenant (as on the site description/amenities) Although we provide enough for one day in case people forget and have to go to the shop.
Great spot to stay, we will definitely be back next year to stay at stingrays. From start to finish Stephen was fantastic, nothing was a problem. To get a phone call first up on our arrival day to say the house is ready go for it was a great start. The house had everything we needed and was perfectly clean on arrival. The size of the yard and being fully fenced was a huge tick for the young ones. Will definitely recommend this place to others. Thanks for letting us stay
