Madeline Island LAKESIDE Cabin on the Shore of Lake Superior - "BAYSIDE"

Our 2 Bedroom (Lakeside), knotty pine paneled cabin, sits so close to the water that you can hear the waves hitting the beach. Read a book in front of a crackling fire. Sit on the porch, or on the dock and watch sailboats glide by. Watch the water birds fish and hear loons call across the bay. Walk the beach. Relax and do what you like, it is all here on the Island!

Enjoy a scenic, relaxing drive to the Bayfield Peninsula and the Apostle Islands National Park. Just 220 miles from the Twin Cities of Minneapolis and St. Paul, 1.5 hours drive from Duluth International Airport.

Madeline Island is located just off Wisconsin's northern most point; the Bayfield Peninsula. After a beautiful ferry ride from Bayfield, our cabin is just a 9.2 mile drive from the ferry dock.

On a rise above the beach (stairs with railing going to the beach) facing south toward Ashland. Excellent view; very well maintained and handy parking.Hosts are easily gotten in touch with and very friendly, but leave you to yourself unless you have questions. I would definitely stay here again.

The property was amazing, and Jim and Renee were wonderful! Being right on the water with a sandy beach area and a pier was really special and gave us the opportunity watch both sunrises and sunsets over Lake Superior. Very clean and comfy cottage all around! The perfect retreat to unplug and enjoy a perfect end-of-summer vacay!

This is a wonderful spot and a well-maintained home. Watched the sun and moon rise over Lake Superior and enjoyed the fireplace and the grill. Porch overlooking the lake is a very special place, and the whoosh of the waves is so calming!

A beautiful retreat!!

Wonderful access to everything on Madeline Island and Bayfield. Perfect, quiet location right on the beach, spent the evening next to Friday the water listening to gentle waves. The owners were wonderful and made sure we had a great stay!

The cottage was exactly how we expected it. We Loved it! It was clean private and right on its own lakefront. The hosts were also very nice and helpful!

The house and property are well taken care of, beautiful beach and view.

This is a perfect place to get away from the busy work and school schedules. It allows you to just unplug all the electronics, slow down, enjoy each other's company and take in beauty of Lake Superior.

Best place ever

I have been going to Madeline Island for 10 years now and this is by far the best place I’ve ever stayed very clean perfect location. We had a blast looking for glass on the beach! We felt like 8 year olds!

Bayside is a perfect little beach house!

Jim and Renee do an amazing job of keeping things simple, humble and clean! I rent this sunny little retreat as it's "almost off the grid" as far as my phone service goes as well as there is no TV which allows my family for the past decades have a much needed unplug!!!

Just what we needed!

My husband and I needed a quiet get-a-way and this cottage was perfect! We sat in the enclosed porch overlooking the lake and had our morning coffee. You are right on the beach and the wavs lulled us to sleep each night. Thank you for such a relaxing experience!

Peaceful

The location to the lake can’t be beat. The waves crashing. My entire stay was an east wind constant waves. I saw the northern lights on my first night and an eclipse the next night. I’ll rent this one again and again.
