Charming Southwest Victorian in Ouray , Sleeps 8, In town Location
Come home after a fun-filled day of adventure in the San Juan Mountains to this charming, Victorian-style home conveniently located in Ouray. Complete with a front porch, a perfect place to take in the breathtaking views, sip your morning coffee, and relax. This home is located in Ouray's National Historic District and one block from Main St.. Originally built in 1875, this home offers the best of both worlds: a piece of Ouray's Victorian history and all the modern conveniences you could wish for after an extensive remodel. There are two queen beds on the main floor. Both bedrooms have ceiling fans. The living room offers comfortable seating , as well as a gas fireplace. The couch in the living room pulls out into a bed that sleeps 2. The kitchen is well-equipped (gas stove, oven, refrigerator, ice maker, dishwasher, garbage disposal, coffee maker, toaster, microwave, blender, food processor, place settings, pots, pans, cooking utensils, and much more) so you can conveniently cook at home during your stay. There is a washer and, dryer too. The first-floor bathroom has a beautiful walk-in, tiled shower. The master bedroom is located upstairs in the loft. I refer to the master bedroom as a loft since it does not have a door to close, but the only opening is the size of a door frame that faces away from the rest of the living space, so as to offer relative privacy. The master bedroom has a queen bed and a private bathroom with a clawfoot tub with a shower attachment. A private balcony facing east is accessed from the master bedroom. The balcony is a beautiful spot to enjoy breakfast or sit in the evenings. UNLIKE MANY OTHER VRBO LISTINGS IN OURAY, WE DO NOT CHARGE A SECURITY DEPOSIT OR PET FEE
Tastefully decorated with a combination of the southwest and the Victorian style, this cozy, three-bedroom home with extra sleeping space, including a convertible sofa/bed in the living room, offers a great space to spend your time away from home. A favorite among the ice climbers, as it is located within walking distance from the Ouray Ice Park.

The check-in instructions were clear, the place was extremely clean, pet friendly was a must for me, and the place was located near town so it was easy to walk everywhere.
Ouray has been a favorite destination of my wife and me for nearly 30 years. The rental property was perfect for my wife and me and her sister joined us on the trip as well. We appreciated the pet friendly policy as well.

Transparency. The description says 4 bedrooms. When I contacted the host to ask why the “4th”room was locked, he informed me it was the downstairs that was locked and there was it a 4th room. He went on to gaslight me and say that the description did not say 4 bedrooms. After reading reviews, others had the same complaint. The place is nice. But this interaction turned me off. It’s also off putting that the hosts offers a 20 Starbucks gift card if you leave a 10 star review.

Thank you for your review. The house listing says sleeps
8. The Rooms review did state 4 Bedrooms, but the 4th bedroom stated it was a sleeper sofa in the living room.
I have changed that to read 3 queen bedrooms and 1 queen sleeper sofa in the living room.
When you called me you asked about the door off of the
kitchen and I said that goes to the basement and is not a bedroom and is locked off.

Very comfortable convenient place for a group or family to stay in Ouray. Walking distance to restaurants, shopping, and the hot springs. We loved the large kitchen area and the porch seating to take in the views!
Very nice place. Clean and cozy. Loved the historic feel of the home. Only thing I would mention is the living area could use an ottoman or two, or a couple of recliners. But the property had lots of charm and was accommodating. We loved it.
Very short to walk into town, good parking. Nice quiet location, had all the conveniences we needed. Very clean, also nice to have the hummingbirds visit the flowers off the front porch.
Home was comfortable and bright with plenty of room for everyone.Very clean and well stocked. One block from Main Street, easy walk to almost everything including Box Canyon and Perimeter Trail.
This house comfortably fit our family which includes me, my husband and two teenage boys. It was very clean and had everything we needed. The best part of the house is the location as it is an easy/close walk to restaurants/shops on main street and to Box Canyon. We also appreciated that they allow dogs. It was very pleasant to sit out on the front porch in the evenings. We very much enjoyed our stay.
The location of this property was perfect. We were located a block from Downtown and were able to walk to shopping, dinner and drinks with ease. Was our first trip to Ouray, and it didn’t disappoint. Amazing views just sitting on the front porch and we had deer walk past the house all three night we were there.
Plenty of room for our group of five. The house has no A/C but an array of fans, & plenty of trees for shade. The W/D was a great bonus as well. We were two blocks from the main street, so leave the car parked and walk uptown for shopping & restaurants.
Great location for walking to downtown, to Box Canyon, to the hot springs, very quiet street—we slept with windows open undisturbed through the night. We had a lovely stay.
This was a beautiful stay! House was perfect and everything was above and beyond great.

Why they chose this property
What makes this property unique
We love spending afternoons and evenings on the covered front porch, facing west. The back porch which extends off the kitchen has a gas barbeque grill. The home is within walking distance to anywhere in town.
