A short getaway
We had a lovely time at this property. It was close to the township but still quite isolated and private. There is no air-conditioning, however the building was cool enough with just the fans going, and we were comfortable. Thank you for having us.
Thanks for your review Christine, it was lovely to meet you and your family. We are glad you had a great stay.
Kangaroo valley wedding
Amazing place, just a short drive from town with great facilities.
Fire pit was a highlight.
All couples and family members enjoyed their stay.
Thanks Jack, it was lovely to host you for your wedding. We were happy everything went so well for you.
A beautiful home away from home
We loved staying at Grey Gums. Dennis was very attentive and caring, ensuring we had everything we needed. The attention to detail in the house is perfect. We enjoyed the fantastic kitchen and all the different eating spaces within and outside the house, lots of games and books for all ages, beautifully appointed and clean rooms. We had so much space and it was a wonderful way to spend 4 days. We saw wallabies, kangaroos and lots of native birds on and around the property, as well as plenty of wombat holes and echidna diggings. The bushwalks on the property were lovely, especially for children, with all the little figurines along the way. Grey Gums is close enough to Kangaroo Valley to be just a quick hop in, but far enough away that you feel you are in the peace and quiet of the bush. We loved our stay! A great place for a family retreat and we will definitely be coming back!
Thank you very much for the thorough review of Grey Gums. It was a pleasure to host you. We are glad you were able to see so much wildlife, I am sure your daughter spotted most of it. Thanks for leaving the house in such tidy condition and for the great comment in our guest book. We hope you can return some time in the future.
So spacious - great place and lovely hosts
Thanks Charlotte, it was great having your family stay with us.
Couldn't have been any better
GreyGums was the perfect place to relax and prepare for our wedding. Dennis was absolutely lovely and made us feel very welcome. We loved the games and fire pit, perfect for a get together with friends. We will definitely be back :)
Thanks for your review Grace, it was lovely to host you. We do hope you can make it back sometime.
Another wonderful trip
Second visit, as wonderful as before. My English friend described it as a "little piece of heaven" and she's right. Heaps of wildlife and great space and facilities. Will be back.
Thanks for the nice review Kate, we appreciate it. Thanks for coming back and we hope you will return again!
Kangaroo Valley is nestled in the mountains near the coast and has many natural and man made attractions. There is a large lake for fishing, swimming and non-motor boating/canoeing, national parks for walking sightseeing with many streams/waterfalls/canyons, wildlife abounds. There are also many cafes and other shops, horse riding, golfing, tennis, etc.
