We enjoyed our stay at the Cottage. Leanne was a wonderful host and the Cottage was very comfortable. If you want peace and quiet this is an excellent place to go.
A comfortable country cottage, very well equipped and decorated with rustic charm with extra touches.
Friendly hosts…thank you Leanne and Elise. Yummy biscuits!
Wonderful, warm and friendly host and a beautiful location
Leanne went out of her way to make us feel welcome with her friendly hospitality. Beautiful and peaceful location although only a short drive away from Beachport and easy drives to Robe and Kingston SE. Lovely cosy cottage with very generous breakfast provisions and everything else you need for a great stay. Loved the birdsong in the mornings and early evenings. Wonderful place to stay with a fantastic host - highly recommend a stay here.
Our host, Leanne was very welcoming and very friendly. Leanne has clearly put a lot of time and effort into The Cottage. The level of planning and attention to detail that she has put in is quite extraordinary. Well done, Leanne! The location is wonderfully quiet and made the stay all the more enjoyable. We can't wait to return.
Leanne was lovely to talk to, and her Cottage is lovely to stay in. First time travelling in to SA, and could not have felt more welcome. Thanks Leanne!
Extremely happy with the cottage. Such a great spot in a perfect location. We will book again. Being able to use the wood fire is such a blessing as not many places allow this.
Easy to locate and in an accessible area for short drives to Beachport, Robe, Southend and Millicent/Mt Gambier and across the Limestone Coast. A cosy, comfortable and quiet cottage in a farm setting.
We stayed at Whispering Pines for 2 nights with our labrador. The place is fantastic for a dog (and us adults). There is a fenced-off grassed area on the side of the cottage for your dog to do his business. It isn't directly connected to door but it's connected via the front patio. The stained-glass windows in the bathroom elevate the stay! There is plenty of room upstairs where the bed is located and a well-equipped kitchen. The cottage is well located - close to Coonawarra wine region, Mt Gambier, Limestone coast towns. Highly recommend!
Gorgeous little cosy cottage about 20 mins from Beachport and 15 mins from Millicent, very clean neat and tidy. My dogs enjoyed being out in the country and the owner was a lovely lady, who greeted us on arrival and even delivered some home made Anzac Biscuits. Highly recommend!!
Visiting friends in Millicent and Glencoe, plus travelling with my dog. Accommodation was great. Suited my needs completely. Great location. Very comfortable. Host (Leanne) was there on arrival and when I departed.
We had a lovely stay at the cottage. Everything was as described. The cottage actually looks better than the photos. We would recommend this place to explore Tantanoola cave or to drive to Beachport beach (Salmon hole beach is so beautiful).
Leanne was very friendly and an excellent host. It was the first time we have taken our dog away on holidays, so we weren't sure how he would manage particularly as he is mainly an outside dog (golden retriever). Leanne was very accommodating and nothing was too much trouble. Thank you, Leanne, for making us feel at home on your property, and for the wine and chocolates, plus breakfast each day. We are definitely recommending your place to our friends and family.
The cottage was gorgeous and was perfect for me, my 8yo and our Dalmatian, cosy vibes throughout, an elegant bathroom with church window, all very comfortable. We loved the wood-fire, the large deep bath, and the loft bedroom. The loft area was more spacious than expected. Our dog had a fun frolic with the resident kelpie. There's a supply of doggy-related things in the house (towels, bowls etc). We enjoyed a local walk and my son liked meeting the family's horse and hearing the baa'ing of sheep from across the paddocks. We did a couple of little trips to Southend and Beachport during our stay. Leanne and family were very welcoming and we'd love to come back again for longer next time.
Sweetest little stone cottage with loft bedroom. Quiet, peaceful, relaxing; wonderful host; beautiful surrounds! Would definitely go back again!! 10/10.
We had a lovely stopover night on our first road trip to South Australia. Very comfortable cottage. Really enjoyed eggs and bacon and the delicious choccies. Thanks Leanne for looking after us.
Me and my old kelpie loved our stay.
It was a great base to tour the Limestone Coast.
We highly recommend a visit to Southend beach and the clifftop walks!
The cottage was so peaceful, the only sounds were from natures symphony.
Beautiful outlook over trees and meadows!
The cottage was so well stocked with so many added extras!
We met Roy, the resident kelpie, who was lovely.
The property has everything for your doggy too!
Would highly recomend a stay here (with or without your dog!)
