Leanne is the perfect host and we highly recommend her and her cottage. She was so kind and welcoming upon our arrival, and even helped provide us with the resources needed to reunite a juvenile wattlebird with its parents. As for our stay, we had the loveliest little getaway together with our dog, enjoying the tranquility and ambience her cottage provides. The cottage comes equipped with everything you could possibly need, so all you need to do is arrive, sit back and relax. We also really enjoyed learning how the cottage was built, and the story behind each unique element that makes it what it is. There are many nearby beaches to visit with your dog especially when the weather is warm. It was a bit of a drive for us (we're from Melbourne), but we cannot wait to return to this lovely place! See you again Leanne, and thanks again!

Out host Leanne was so friendly and went out of her way to make out stay wonderful. The Cottage was so full of charm and had everything we needed to make out stay so enjoyable. Leanne keeps it so clean and it is maintained in very professional manner. We loved the piece and quiet, the perfect remedy to melt away the stresses of everyday life. We had fun watching all the local bird life. Very relaxing. We are going to recommend this stay to all our family and friends. We will definitely be returning for future stays.

Beautiful cottage, so clean and beautifully presented. The rustic surrounds make feel like you are at one with the wonderful birdie and farm life. Our pup had a ball, exploring, chasing rabbits and checking out the cattle. Highly recommended.

Fantastic place to stay!

We stayed at Whispering Pines for 2 nights with our labrador. The place is fantastic for a dog (and us adults). There is a fenced-off grassed area on the side of the cottage for your dog to do his business. It isn't directly connected to door but it's connected via the front patio. The stained-glass windows in the bathroom elevate the stay! There is plenty of room upstairs where the bed is located and a well-equipped kitchen. The cottage is well located - close to Coonawarra wine region, Mt Gambier, Limestone coast towns. Highly recommend!

Beautiful Cottage

Gorgeous little cosy cottage about 20 mins from Beachport and 15 mins from Millicent, very clean neat and tidy. My dogs enjoyed being out in the country and the owner was a lovely lady, who greeted us on arrival and even delivered some home made Anzac Biscuits. Highly recommend!!

Very pleasant stay

We had a lovely stay at the cottage. Everything was as described. The cottage actually looks better than the photos. We would recommend this place to explore Tantanoola cave or to drive to Beachport beach (Salmon hole beach is so beautiful).

Excellent little get away

Leanne was very friendly and an excellent host. It was the first time we have taken our dog away on holidays, so we weren't sure how he would manage particularly as he is mainly an outside dog (golden retriever). Leanne was very accommodating and nothing was too much trouble. Thank you, Leanne, for making us feel at home on your property, and for the wine and chocolates, plus breakfast each day. We are definitely recommending your place to our friends and family.

Great escape for kiddos and doggos

The cottage was gorgeous and was perfect for me, my 8yo and our Dalmatian, cosy vibes throughout, an elegant bathroom with church window, all very comfortable. We loved the wood-fire, the large deep bath, and the loft bedroom. The loft area was more spacious than expected. Our dog had a fun frolic with the resident kelpie. There's a supply of doggy-related things in the house (towels, bowls etc). We enjoyed a local walk and my son liked meeting the family's horse and hearing the baa'ing of sheep from across the paddocks. We did a couple of little trips to Southend and Beachport during our stay. Leanne and family were very welcoming and we'd love to come back again for longer next time.
