Thank you for your positive comments! I enjoyed hosting you and hope you both will return! Carla
If you find more kind and caring hosts, move in permanently. This charming little spot had everything anyone could possibly want, except an oven - but it's not the kind of space in which you're going to be hosting dinner parties. You couldn't ask for a more solicitous host. It was one of the quietest STRs I've ever stayed in - I heard absolutely no vehicle sounds. And, while you might sleep as many as 3 or 4 with the pull out sofa bed, be mindful of the fact that there's only two guest parking spaces and the city does not allow overnight street parking. But you'd be hard pressed to find a better value in a very convenient location for everything you might want to do in the Broadway corridor and downtown.
The casita was neat and clean. The owners were welcoming and lovely with good communication both ahead of my stay as well as during my stay. I have already recommended this to everyone I know staying in San Antonio.
Everything we needed for a relaxing stay while attending multiple family events in San Antonio. Excellent bed, well stocked kitchen, terrific workspaces with great internet connectivity ... and an absolutely perfect location. The outside space was beautiful ... so calming.

Thank you so much for your lovely message. I enjoyed hosting you and always know you are welcomed back!
We needed a place near downtown, but didn’t want to be downtown. This place was perfect for our needs. Kitchen was small, but had everything we needed. Plus, the host provided our favorite soda for us in the fridge. A nice touch! We would stay here again:)

William, we were so pleased to hear you enjoyed your stay at the Casita and in San Antonio.
We are disappointed to learn you were not happy with the King mattress in the master. Of course, people have different physical conditions and expectations and mattresses are such a personalized taste. The mattress itself is relatively new and we have often had compliments on it. Recently, one of our guests/ reviewers noted the mattress "was extra comfortable. You can expect total perfection when you stay here." Another guest/reviewer said "most comfortable beds I've ever slept on." So a mattress definitely is a matter of personal taste. But we absolutely will review the mattress carefully before our next guest arrives to see that it meets our high standards and provides the comfort level we want all our guests to experience.
Really enjoyed our stay. Great place to walk around. Enjoyed the outdoor space. Bed was very comfortable. Carla was very helpful and responsive. We will be back!
Our stay was perfect!!! From start to finish we couldn’t have asked for more. The location was perfect for us as it sits right between our two favorite spots. The hostess was attentive without being obtrusive. She thought of every little thing making sure we didn’t have to do without. Our permanent SA hideaway!
We spent 5 nights as we visited our grand children in San Antonio and thought the accommodations were comfortable, with good lighting and everything we needed. We would stay here again.
This is my second stay at this lovely property and my go to for future trips to the Alamo City! Wonderful neighborhood close to all the good things in the city and easy access to major highways and JBSA. Lovely place with all the amenities to include a great patio and yard. Carla is a wonderful host and I’ll definitely be staying here again and again on my travels to San Antonio!
Everything was great! Had some wifi issues but It was handled quickly. The shower was a bit dirty and had ants but other than that, it was a very nice place with a excellent location to visit the Riverwalk/Seaworld/Fiesta Texas.

We’re very glad the guest, overall, enjoyed his stay. The shower had just been cleaned when he arrived but there were several in his party presumably all using the shower.
We have never seen ants in the area, including right after he checked out. There were crumbs in the bedroom & living room, possibly left inadvertently by his young child. That could have attracted ants although we didn’t see any. The guest was with us for 6 days so we wish he had reported this so we could have corrected any issues for him. Also, if needed, we keep ant spray under the sink, along with other emergency items. Nevertheless we regret any inconvenience & , of course always strive to give our guests a first class experience in a welcoming environment.
We stayed at this beautiful Casita for a week. The home is beautifully decorated and equipped. Carla is a great hostess that will help you if you need anything. The location is wonderful and very peaceful. Unfortunately due to the summer weather, we were not able to enjoy the beautiful gardens. We highly recommend this Casita and hope to return. We also recommend Sorento Italian Restaurant, the food is great and nearby.
Very happy with everything. Always stayed in hotels. This was our first time renting a place. Beautiful, quiet and very tidy! Lovely yard and great location for us.
Carla is a fantastic hostess and her guest suite is perfect! There is a large bedroom with a king size bed, a separate bathroom and dressing area/closet, a nice view of the lush patio and backyard. There is an additional sleeping nook with a writing area. Another half bath is also very nice. The kitchen and comfy sitting area/dining nook also look out on the lovely deck and backyard, complete with a cabana.
My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Casita. It's a beautiful cottage-like setting with cozy--but not cramped--accommodations. A large bedroom with very comfortable king-size bed. One and a half bathrooms! Lovely dining/relaxing area off the functional kitchenette. The back yard has a deck and gazebo for outdoor relaxing. Carla, the owner, is wonderfully friendly, thoughtful, generous, and energetic. We found the location quiet despite being near a couple of busy roads. They did not bother us. And the location is handy to everything we wanted to visit--easy access to countless restaurants and top-tier sightseeing attractions. We hope to go back someday, and we heartily recommend it to others.
The property was delightful - homey, lots of outdoor space and seating, very well maintained and clean. The location was perfect - quiet, but easy access to downtown and the sights.
Our hostess, Carla, was welcoming, attentive, and informative, without being obtrusive.
We were welcomed with snacks and wine - perfect after a long day of travel! After the eclipse, Carla treated us to special eclipse-themed cupcakes!
We’ve stayed at many rentals over the years in many places around the country. Very few could even hold a candle to this. We predict that we will be back!

Why they chose this property
As lifetime San Antonians, with time out for life in New York City and San Miguel de Allende, Guanajuato, Mexico, we wanted to come home to be part of our community and help build its future. We chose Alamo Heights, because of our deep roots near here and because, from our point of view, it is the crown jewel of San Antonio's diverse neighborhoods. When we bought the house, it was a small, simple artist's cottage in a wooded area, with lovely fruit trees, and boasting a small studio for painting. Over the years we have expanded the house and filled it with our curated treasures, art and antiques from here and abroad, giving it a unique and eclectic flavor, but , most of all, a sense of warmth and welcome to all. Along with that expansion came the development of our separate casita, and opening it to guests from many States and, indeed , around the world, from places like Taiwan, China, Canada and Europe, all of whom it has been our pleasure to welcome and assist with their explorations of our home town.
What makes this property unique
What is truly unique about our home is its location in a one of a kind warm, friendly, beautiful and safe neighborhood, near the best of all that San Antonio offers, and the rich, welcoming ambiance we have been able to create here.
