Windward Lodge is situated in quiet Long Bay Hills surrounded by local dry tropical forest, 5 minutes from Long Bay beach and only a short drive or a mile walk up to the main kite boarding area. With its year-round trade winds, calm shallow waters and idyllic sandy beach, Long Bay beach in Providenciales, Turks & Caicos is becoming one of the top kite surfing spots in the world.

Leatherback is a two-story semi-detached house (duplex) on a private property consisting of the guest houses and the main house, a large garden with a large spring-free trampoline. There is a shared main lap style swimming pool (60 x 10 feet) with a shaded pagoda and sun beds.

Windward Logde is for people looking to relax, unwind and get away from it all. Surrounded by the lush green and unique Caicos dry tropical forest, let nature help you to restore and revitalise yourself. A 5 minute walk takes you to the most stunning white sand beach expanding onto to seemingly endless and amazing turquoise coloured Caicos Banks. Let the trade wind and warm seas clear away your stresses. Let your children play in the safe shallow and calm waters of Long Bay.

We offer a uniquely styled newly refurbished 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom semi-detached (duplex) house. Spacious modern living with a rustic edge. Upstairs the master bedroom has a king-size bed, en suite bathroom and large private balcony with views of the ocean. The second bedroom has two single beds and en suit bathroom. Downstairs we have a large open plan kitchen/living room with large french doors and a sizeable private balcony. We also have a comfortable sofa bed expanding the sleeping capacity to 6. Downstairs is also a powder room.

Amenities include washer, dryer, clothes line, dishwasher a GE stove and quality cutlery and utensils for any foodies.

Our stay in this lovely guest house was excellent. The space was exactly as described, even more spacious actually. The housekeeper was so friendly when we arrived and we were able to drop our bags off prior to check in.The hosts were very responsive and friendly during our stay.We were would absolutely stay here again or recommend this location to others!

The place needs a serious grooming , deep clean and pool revamp . The place at a quick glance looked clean but when you actually stopped it was very dirty and the vegetation was way out of control there was also a foul smell that would be lingering around . My kids were very excited by the tree house until they seen it was covered in spiders and rusty. I wanted toLove it but all in all it needs some TLC and new furnishings and paint the walls are very dirty and scuffed up

Thank you for your feedback. We’re sorry the property’s style and setting weren’t the right fit for your stay. Cleanliness is very important to us, and this is not consistent with the experience most guests report. The home is thoroughly cleaned between stays; however, it is a rustic property in a tropical environment, which naturally comes with some wear and an outdoor setting that differs from a manicured or modern aesthetic. The garden is intentionally kept lush and natural to support native vegetation and wildlife, which is a feature many guests specifically choose the property for. We understand this wilder, tropical landscape may not suit everyone’s personal preference. Regarding the pool, it is regularly serviced and chemically maintained. The surface does show cosmetic wear due to an older plaster application, and a full resurfacing is already scheduled for the upcoming off-season. We have not had previous reports of an odor, but we will still look into it to rule out any external or environmental causes. Thank you for bringing it to our attention. The treehouse is an older feature and part of the property’s rustic character. It is on our list for future updates following recent renovation work elsewhere on the property. We always encourage guests to review photos and descriptions carefully to ensure the home’s unique, nature-forward style is what they’re looking for.

Lovely TCI rental

Our family enjoyed our stay at Windward lodge. The rental until was comfortable and clean. We enjoyed the pool and the “ 5 minute adventurous walk” to Long Bay Beach. It was perfect for a family of four adults.

Beautiful Home

We loved our stay at this beautiful, clean and spacious home. The hosts are extremely accommodating, responsive and thoughtful. They made sure that we enjoyed their home by providing everything we might need for a perfect vacation from the kitchen items to the beach items. We loved the pool and the garden on the property. The location is perfect, as most of the places we visited and booked were within 10-12 minutes reach. You won’t be disappointed!!!

GREAT stay at a GREAT PLACE

We've visited Turks and Caicos multiple time so we know the island pretty well. The space is large, clean, spacious, extremely comfortable and a great home away from home. We were able to hang at the huge pool and talk walks on the gorgeous beach. I love how peaceful the property was. Will def be back! Thank you!

Great for 4-person family

We loved our stay and Edward was very helpful with recommendations in advance of our stay. The property is lovely and our girls (9 and 6) enjoyed making friends with another guest’s kid in the shared pool. The local beach is indeed more windy than Grace Bay, but still able to swim and enjoy for a quick venture. Easy access to the rest of the island provided you have a car. We have stayed at many VRBOs in many cities, and I found this one near perfect!

Enjoyed our stay!

Our family of four stayed for a week at this property and loved it! With two young kids we enjoyed having access to the backyard with the trampoline, treehouse, etc. We enjoyed the pool and overall the property is beautiful. The walk to the beach was easy. We enjoyed having access to pool floats and noodles as well as beach toys, cooler, etc. Would recommend updating beach chairs (rusty) as well as beach umbrellas as one was broken and the other quite rusty and didn’t fit the base from the other umbrella. Would definitely stay again!

Perfect family getaway

Edward and Marissa's property was perfect for our family of four. Clean, modern, plenty of space and best of all, very quiet. It was the perfect place to unwind and relax after a day of exploring the island. Great screened in porch for playing games (a number of games such as monopoly, cards, etc were provided), and the kitchen was well stocked for meal prep, and the children loved the trampoline, only steps away from the guest house. The location is perfect, remote enough to be quiet, yet only a 5 minute drive to the grocery store and lots of restaurants & beaches. Would definitely stay here again!

Beautiful property with sprawling views!

We had a lovely stay at Long Bay Hills. The home had all the amenities you'd need for the beach and a fully stocked kitchen if you want to do meals in. I was particularly impressed with the supply for our 18-mo. daughter - high chair, baby plates, cups, pool toys, beach toys, etc. We felt super safe and very comfortable. I highly recommend renting a car to get to/from the beaches/town. It's otherwise a trek. The pool was really beautiful and even when shared with other guests, was spacious enough for relaxing. Would definitely recommend this property!

Lovely property, practically brand new, walking distance to a beautiful, secluded beach

Just got back from Turks and Caicos earlier this week and we had a great experience. Edward was a terrific host. His property was large and roomy, recently and tastefully renovated, and only a 5 min walk to upscale Long Bay Beach. Further, Grace Bay Beach was only a 15 minute drive down the main road, so we felt like we had the best of both worlds. Privacy and seclusion on Long Bay Beach one day, plus activity, people-watching, and beach-front bars on Grace Bay Beach the next. Truly a relaxing, comfortable place to stay with spacious bedrooms, a nice kitchen, grill on the patio, and a 2nd floor balcony with water views. We will absolutely rent Windward Lodge again in the future.

Clean and Modern High Value Accommodation w/friendly Owners

If you're looking for a clean, spacious, high value accommodation to rest your head and explore the island then look no further. This place is every bit of what is advertised. Modern appliances and stocked with essentials backed by owners who couldn't be more pleasant and will make sure your stay is stress-free. Gated parking keeps your rental safe. Great amenities for children such as treehouse and playground. Awesome private outdoor space to hangout and even grill. Very comfortable beds. Clean linen with washer/dryer available with detergent at your fingertips for those that are staying longer and want to keep things fresh. Even minor details like trash bags were provided by owner as soon as we brought to their attention that we ran out. Supermarkets near by to take advantage of the beautiful kitchen. WiFi fast and reliable. Hot water is plentiful even when all bathrooms in use at the same time. Critique: 1) The only bit of false advertising was saying the unit is a 5 min walk to the beach. There is no way you walk to the beach from that unit in under 10 min unless you are a professional athlete in top physical form and approach it like a track and field event. Especially not with kids/senior citizens while carrying beach equipment. Best case scenario is to drive half the distance, park on the side of the dirt road and walk another 4 min through a fairly difficult path. Not ideal for beach bums but for those that don't mind a little adventure, once you get there the beach is immaculate. 2) Speaking of dirt roads... The last quarter mile to the unit will test the structural integrity of your vehicle. I never upgrade my rental but if you're staying here you may want to seriously consider getting an off road vehicle. Getting in and out of the neighborhood takes 10 min no matter where you're going on the island as a result. 3) Beach equipment serves it's purpose but is a little dated. 4) Pool could have been cleaner if I'd consider using it. Otherwise loved this place. check-in and check-out so easy with coded doors. Would recommend to any families traveling together.

Thank you so much for your detailed and thoughtful review. We are happy you enjoyed your stay and liked the space. We have listened to your recommendations and have rectified where we could. A couple points to clarify: 1) The beach is 5 minutes away at normal walking pace (I have timed it). Leisurely pace and/or with kids, and lugging beach equipment, perhaps 10 mins tops. Perhaps you, as have other guests, accidentally went to one of the next beach accesses along. In which case you would definitely need to drive before walking. 2) Roads, yes they are poor, slowly being upgraded but out of our control. There is no real need for a 4 x 4 vehicle. You won't get stuck anywhere. You just take it slow across the bumps (island time!) or access from the other side where there is now new asphalt to within 1/4 mile of our property. 4) Our sincere apologies if you found the pool could have been cleaner. We have a weekly professional mainenance. Your stay was shortly after heavy rains and wind which can dilute the salt level causing low chlorine which can encourage algae to begin growing. Sometimes if nearby trees are shedding it is difficult to keep on top of the leaves. We will do our best continuously improve in all areas and are grateful for the feedback.

Straight up AWESOME!!

Honestly, the listing doesn’t even do the property Justice. This was an amazing stay in Long Bay Hills and we loved everything about the location and rental. The house was clean and comfortable. Immediately felt like home. Two twins in bedroom 2 for our 12/15 year old, with it’s on en-suite bathroom, and the Master also had an en-suite, and an amazing balcony that looked out to the turquoise water off Long Bay Beach. As described ll, there is a shorter but bumpier road to get there and a longer but easier road. We rented a Jeep from Island Life Jeeps, and loved the slightly rougher, more fun drive in. The walk to the beach took us 6 minutes, and was super easy once you got your bearings. This beach is spectacular and we had it all to ourselves each time we went out. Loved coming back, showering off in the outdoor shower and then hitting the pool. I can’t rave enough about the access to the beach. One of the highlight meals of the trip was hitting the fish market in five cays, grabbing some fresh 2+lb lobsters, and cooking on the grill on the screened in porch. This may have been one of our most affordable and fun dinners. Whole lobsters were running $8/lb…making me super grateful we had a place to cook them at home! Location of the rental was perfect. Aside from the beach, I don’t think we had to drive more than 20 minutes to get anywhere on the island that we went….and we went almost everywhere (except the far West side). 15 minutes to Grace Bay, 10 minutes to the ferry to North/Middle Caicos, 15 minutes to amazing snorkeling at Coral Gardens, 20 minutes to Omar’s (go there!!) and the fish market and about 20/25 to Chalk Sound and the beaches over that way. Just over 20 minutes to Hidden Beach, another one of our favorites. Can’t recommend it enough, and the owners were super communicative and available (despite being on holiday themselves!) I researched a ton of spots, and we drove the island extensively, and if we went back we would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Spacious and updated rental

This 2BR unit worked perfectly for my family of four. Bedrooms were spacious, beds comfortable and bathrooms clean. Kitchen felt like being at home with all the appliances and island. Kids loved the pool, trampoline and club house.
