Siblings at Johnson lake

This property was great! We had a nice time with our siblings and spouses checking out the lake and the nearest brewery. The house had everything we needed which made cooking easy with a well appointed kitchen, big table to eat at and play games. The beds were comfortable and having five bedrooms gave us room for all the family. We enjoyed our stay and hope to return again.

50th birthday celebrations

My friends and I celebrated our 50th birthdays at this bra cabin on Johnson Lake. There were plenty of beds and the kitchen was fully stocked. The place was very clean and comfortable. We really enjoyed the backyard for evening games and drinks. The only thing that would have made it absolutely perfect if it had direct access to the water. Swimming and fishing areas were a short walk. The host met us at the cabin the day of check in and gave us all the tips for the stay. She was awesome!

Theresa was a wonderful host. The cabin was spacious that easily held our entire family of 10 for a Christmas celebration. She decorated it beautifully for us for Christmas even putting up a tree. The cabin was very well stocked with everything we needed. We would stay here again and recommend it to anyone looking for a rustic getaway. Best Rental Ever Stayed!

The cabin is beautiful and clean with every amenity you need and more. We were a family of 7 and enjoyed the view of Bossung Lake. We loved kayaking and fishing. The owner was very responsive to all questions and was local in case we needed anything. She was a delight to talk to and learn the history of the cabin and the others around. The neighborhood kitty, Felix, came to say and wanted lots of love. We hope to be back soon and make more memories.

Relaxing and healing

Our family came to be together for a funeral. The place is large with 5 comfortable beds. We were able to spread out and come together. There are lake views in rhe front and back of the house.The home is well stocked with food, spices and cooking utensils. We absolutely loved our stay ay this wonderful home and would not hesitate to stay again. Teresa was available to answer all questions. Thank you again for this place. Our family was able to laugh, love an heal here.

A retirement community

This home is beautiful and stocked with everything you could ever need. It’s nestled in a retirement community setting. The owners are never more than a few houses away, in and out of the house all day and into the evening. Be sure to read all the pamphlets as there are a lot of rules. The kids kept telling us there were flash lights in the yard after dark, I thought they were kidding until I stayed up with our baby one night and saw it for myself. I have never felt safer in a rental home as we were being watched always. The owners are so hard working and put so much sweat into this home and they are very proud of it, and it is really nice. We ended up leaving 3 days early as we felt very uncomfortable, and felt as if we were taking their home from them, as this home is where they live when not rented out. The owners told us the community watches and would report to them also if rules were broken. We are just a family, not spring breakers or girls gone wild lol. In my opinion, the owners should probably not rent this house out as they just love it and it’s hard for them to see anyone else in it.

We shared your feedback with the homeowners, and they wanted to address a few of your comments: - The home is not located in a retirement community, and there are many young residents & families in the neighborhood - The rules are instructions on how guests can safely enjoy amenities like the hot tub and golf cart - There was a night fishing tournament on the lake behind the home during your stay - they were wearing headlamps, but no one was on the property - The owners only stopped by when you asked for help with a small maintenance question The owners are proud of their home and are happy to open it up for others to enjoy. We're sure that they'll continue to provide 5-star experiences for their guests here moving forward!
