Lovely rural stone cottage set amongst native trees and vegetation.
Originally just 4 rooms with 2 tin lean two's. Renovated to capture the rural feel and ambiance without loosing the rustic appeal with large open kitchen and dining. Picture windows in dining area and floor rugs throughout.
Slate floors, wooden beams and cozy slow combustion log fire. All mod cons and that peace and quiet that can't be bought.
Abundant wild life and many beautiful birds.
Close to all Riverland venues and only minutes from the River Murray.

Great weekend getaway

A really beautiful cottage to get away for the weekend. I loved the vibe, atmosphere and nearly everything about this place. Its so relaxing and serene, all you can hear is nature. Its a lovely cottage but needs alot more TLC and a fussy cleaner. The place is very dusty and has a lot of cobwebs ie the furnishings, window sills and curtains but overall its a great cottage. I would definitely recommend it and will go back again for more visits. Jenny is a good host, easily contactable and very responsive.

Back to nature

Delightful rural stay with abundant bird life . Very quiet and a great area if you’re a stargazer. Clean and well equipped cottage. Jenny , Sandalmere’s host , replies quickly to any queries. Our 3 day stay was a base to explore the area.

Enjoy country life

We spent 2 nights in the cottage (one night with friends). One of the best get away we've had. Definitely for someone who want to experience country life and enjoy the tranquillity of nature and countryside. It's also close to Waikerie so very convenient. We also explored a few villages around.

Restful Retreat

After a rather hectic year we were looking for an escape away from everything to relax and be refreshed. Sandalmere offered everything we hoped for. The cottage provided not only the quiet peaceful surrounding but was equipped with everything one needed. We highly recommend Sandalmere to anyone looking for a well-presented getaway. One word - Awesome

Great value. Feels like home as soon as you walk in. Cottage garden makes outdoor living a joy. Beds are 5 Star comfort. Facilities are all covered. Location is easy access with plenty of space and privacy. Great service from the host. We will be back for sure.

The Perfect Hideaway

We were looking for a quiet relaxing stay away from other humans and Sandalmere delivered on all counts! The weather was cold, wet and stormy, which gave us the perfect excuse to stay in by the fire. The cottage had everything that we needed and we wouldn't hesitate to come back here when we need to have a break from the world. Thanks Jenny :)

Relaxing River Getaway

If you want a relaxing getaway only a couple of hours drive from the city this is the ideal place. This truly allows the experience of being in the country with the river close by. A perfect snapshot of country living to recharge the soul 👌

We enjoyed staying at the Sandalmere Cottage very much, so peaceful and cozy. Loved watching the sunset and sunrise, listening to the beautiful birds 🕊️ also loved laying on the lawn and looking at the night sky,sooooo many stars. We had a beautiful stay there,thank you ✌️
