Enjoy this relaxing home away from home with the whole family. Located in Gerringong, close to cafes, restaurants and wineries. Located perfectly, with a short drive to both the enchanting and historic dining and shopping township of Berry, Werri beach, 7 Mile Beach, & Gerroa Beach. Make your own memories while you tour throughout Gerringong discovering wineries, galleries, local markets, and sporting events or attending that special event.
Great family outings could be Jamberoo Action Park or Illawarra Fly Treetop Walk, which are both easy day trips.

Featuring large lounge/rumpus room with plasma TV, DVD player and pool table, built-in robes and ensuite, double garage, landscaped outdoor area with barbecue and wall-mounted flat screen TVs and out door spa. Air conditioning throughout for year round comfort.

The place was large and as described. The only negative was that one of the bedrooms has a number of cockroaches of varying size (including a really large ones), which would come out during the night / early morning. The host assured me that they were aware of this and a pest inspector would resolve the problem soon, but I was a bit startled that they still rented out the place at the usual price point while being aware of this. Apart from this, check-in and check-out went smoothly, but one needs to be aware that keys need to be picked up in the middle of the town (not in a keybox directly at the property). Assuming that the pest problem has been resolved, I would recommend the place if you visit town with a larger group.

We would like to advise that we have had a pest treatment carried out at the property to remove the cockroaches, so this has been rectified.

Nice property with lots to do but the spa didn't work, had a very strong smell and had sand at the bottom (not clean?)Some stuff missing or way too old in the kitchen area also.Overall we had a great stay though.

Everything about this experience was perfect! Reasonably priced, the house has everything we needed. Linen included, fresh towels for everyone. Even the spa was prepared before our arrival! The agents were extremely helpful down to the last detail. Would recommend anyone to stay here. 10 out of 10!

Good for large group, but...

Pretty good, well laid out place for a large group, but lacking in some facilities you would expect for the price. What you get is good, but the lack of a dishwasher is one problem, and not having wifi is also a problem, especially as the 5G reception is patchy in the house.

This house has a lot to offer but misses a bit in terms of finer details. Also it should be noted the outdoor area is totally enclosed. (Roof & walls) Ie: no grass or garden views, or sky views from the master bedroom.

Mini Getaway

This was a great house for my extended family and I. There were plenty of bedrooms, living spaces and bathrooms for everyone. Some of the furniture is quite outdated and could do with a freshen up. The outside area is spacious but definitely needs a hose down and clean. It was very dusty and dirty so we weren’t able to use it as much as we would have liked to. Overall this was a great place that worked for our little family getaway!

Aptly named "Home away from Home"

This property had everything needed plus more, there were several extra pillows and blankets if needed, which weren't because the air conditioning worked perfectly. I didn't see the table tennis table but everyone loved the pool table and there was a cupboard full of cards and other games to keep everyone entertained. Also LOVED the music USB. Lots of T.V.'s so you could watch what you wanted without interfering with anyone else. Plenty of room. Great location.

Plenty of room

We selected this property based on the facilities and living spaces so that lived up to our expectations. My family enjoyed playing pool and the spa however the spa had sand in it so looked like it hadn't been cleaned after the last time someone was there. The cleanliness of the rest of the house was also an issue. There were spiders throughout the house. It seemed like the house hadn't been occupied for a while so the spiders had taken over. If this was the case, it should have been cleaned prior to our arrival. The bedside tables had a layer of dust/girt so they couldn't be used. The outside table and chairs were also extremely dirty so we did not use them either. Being close to the beach we thought there would be no need for air conditioning but due to the layout of the home and the fact that it has a very high retaining wall out the back there is very little air flow. There are fans but it was still very hot in the bedrooms. We enjoyed our stay but there were elements that spoiled our time at Home away from Home. It definitely did not feel like 'home'.

Was a great set up, would love to stay longer. Although the spa was dirty so didn't use it. There was a mouse running about & the sheets didn't feel clean.my daughters sheets had stains & there was Poo from either a mouse or large cockroach under her pillows.
