Studio Five is an architecturally designed and award winning apartment in Alice Springs. Opened in 2013, the self-contained studio is nestled in a lush, landscaped garden overlooking a saltwater pool and comprises original Aboriginal artwork.

The Space
Positioned on a local property close to town, the freestanding studio is stylishly furnished and contains everything that you’ll need for a comfortable stay in Alice Springs.
The living area is open plan and features polished concrete floors, full sliding panoramic doors with ample natural light, a fully equipped kitchen and wide screen TV. The bedroom has a queen size bed and en-suite. Free Wifi is provided. With air-conditioning and fans throughout, the studio provides a cool, private and peaceful retreat. Relax in the tranquil outdoor courtyards, soak up the sun and blue sky by the pool, and experience the magic of the stars under the clear night skies.

Studio Five is a well appointed self contained apartment, with separate access to the main house, the space is peaceful and private with an abundance of bird life. Guests share the swimming pool and laundry with the main house. The apartment is not serviced.

As a Studio Five guest, you are independent with your own space, however your host lives on the property and is available for recommendations and local knowledge on the wonderful sights and culture in and around Alice Springs.

At home in Alice Springs

Studio 5, was exactly what we needed for our two week working holiday. A beautiful oasis to land in at the end of each day and perfectly positioned for afternoon walks around the Telegraph station. This architect designed studio is filled with light, art and the comforts required for a longer or short stay. Liesl had many recommendations for restaurants, gallery visits and local hikes. Many thanks for a wonderful stay and we hope to be back.

I loved the property. It was a quiet sanctuary and very relaxing. Great art and property is very clean. The only issue was one of the channels on the TV pixelating, however, property owner tried very hard to fix whilst I was there. But overall wished that I could have stayed longer - it was just superb.

Lovely studio no wifi

The property was very nicely appointed and was well designed. The only issues were a bit off the beaten path and the internet was non existent. I tried every trick in the book to get the router to work but it could not connect to the internet. Also, cell signal was weak making the experience a bit of a non connected experience

Fabulous property!

We loved our stay here - the studio is so well equipped with everything you could wish for especially in the kitchen including a few herbs and sauces and oil etc in the pantry which was useful (but do bring your own shampoo/conditioner!!). The property is quiet and peaceful and private and very close to town. There is an IGA at the bottom of the street. Sad that we didn't get to use the lovely pool as the temperature in May was very mild. We would definitely book again for our next trip to Alice Springs. Thank you Liesl for a lovely stay! A quiet, peaceful stay

We appreciated the unique setting of this apartment, in a quiet area. The access to a full working kitchen was a bonus, enabling us to enjoy home cooking, after a day out. A lovely touch, was a surprise in the fridge, bowl of lemons and the local roasted coffee. For anyone with a mobility problem, it should be noted, it can be quite difficult to access the porch, (the step is slightly higher than normal, and no handrail), however there is access through the pool gates.) The access to the kitchen cupboards above the sink, were too high for me, especially the second shelf. I think the crockery could be moved to a drawer, as the crockery was quite heavy. Also, I found inadequate storage for groceries. ( we were staying for 14 days) I expected an extra supply of linen, over the 14 day period. Being on holidays, and wanting to make the most of our time, found one set of towels inadequate, for wash and dry in one day. (Tip: Remember to tighten the clothes line before use!) The T.V was balanced precariously on a stool, which I found unnerving, not wanting to knock it off the stool. The seating was not comfortable for relaxing in the evening. The Black chairs gave no support and were to low for me. With the polished concrete floor, the bedside mat can be quite slippery. I would have liked a small supply of cleaning product for the bathroom, especially for a long stay. The parking arrangement on the front nature strip, was adequate for a small car, but one needed to negotiate, a tree, prickly plant, and a barrier of rocks, which was difficult on a dark night. This apartment is an ideal place for a short stay. Alice Springs and surrounds have a lot to offer.

I do love to receive feedback to look for improvements, and in particular I like to talk with guests during their stay to have the opportunity to look after requests during the visit. The images displayed online are accurate to the experience guests have when staying at Studio Five Apartment. The front verandah step is presented in the photos online. The apartment is not serviced, however a change of linen or towels can be provided upon request as occurred on this occasion. There is a laundry onsite for washing as the apartment is self contained and not serviced. Studio Five values guest feedback and I aim to respond to matters to review the service provided and ensure satisfaction and a personal experience for guests at all times. An oasis in the desert

I loved the studio feel with the cool polished cement floors underfoot, the art work, books and the silence whilst surrounded by a lush green garden. Even the towels were a delight to my senses. Liesl the host was so lovely and her dog kept me entertained by playing fetch the ball when i was in their salt water pool. I hope i get to return many times to this oasis in the desert!
