This was one of our best stays ever. Perfect little cabin in an ideal setting if you want peace and quiet. Close to hiking. I could have stayed forever. Will definitely go back.

Beginning of Summer Outing

My mom, my dog and I stayed here and had a blast. There was plenty of nature, hiking, antiquing, good food and small town charm for all of us to have a great time. I would highly recommend a visit and we will be back.

Peaceful Beautiful

We had an amazing 4 days in this beautiful cabin on the lake! We attended the Bonnaroo Music Festival and it was so beautiful to come back here to have completely solitude after being around 70,000+ people! We really enjoyed it!

Beautiful property

We absolutely loved it here! Very private, peaceful, and had everything we needed. It’s a little piece of heaven! We also asked if we could stay later on Sunday, owner replied right away and we were able to enjoy the sun for a few hours longer!

Beautiful property

Gorgeous and very private setting on a little lake in rural Tennessee. The cabin itself was clean, except for the loads of dead ladybug bodies all over the floor, kitchen counters, and table. Bed was comfortable, kitchen was very well-equipped, and host responded quickly when contacted about issue with water heater. All in all, we enjoyed our stay.

Amazing stay!

Banjo bungalow was a wonderful little slice of heaven on earth. The home had many new renovations including paint and landscaping that we were not expecting. You can definitely tell that care is put into this home to assure visitors having a great space. We knew we wanted a weekend to get aways from the busy hustle and bustle of life while still having lots to do. Banjo offered that perfectly with fishing, volleyball, fire pit, grilling, and more all while feeling like you were on your own island. I would highly recommend choosing the Banjo Bungalow for your next trip and we will definitely be returning.

Bayou Bungalow

Incredible views of the country setting with opportunities to toss a line in the water to catch a fish, watch deer if outside early enough in the mornings, etc. Amenitities including grill, outdoor sitting areas, porch swing, fire pit, tire swing, running lake beside the property, and areas to walk to experience nature. Kids and adults of all ages can run about or enjoy something here. The feeling you got away from the city tucked inside the county where it's quiet is quite the experience. Hiking trails are a short drive over to also take advantage of while visiting here.

Check in process

The door automatically locks and that’s not a bad thing per se if you’re aware. I left my phone inside after initially walking in to check things out and it took me a few tries to enter correct code from my short term memory lol. The cabin was hot and took a while to cool off (bedroom) as the AC was off and windows were open. I would stay again, but not alone bc it’s pitch black at night and was spooky for me (female that’s not accustomed to such)

Everything was very neat and clean. Directions were clear and detailed. It was very cool for a few days due to temperature drop. A gas fireplace warmed the place and was very cozy. Also provided were electric heaters in the bedrooms and fleece coverlets Some spices and condiments were available. Kitchen had all needed appliances and utensils. Boat had a leak around rivet in the bottom that brought in a little water. We still enjoyed paddling the boat around the lake. Cabin had a charming feel furnished with some antique furniture. We enjoyed our week stay mostly being outdoors fishing and admiring the fall views from the porch swing!

My wife and I had an amazing stay here for a short weekend getaway from Nashville! The property is incredible to get away from the noise of the city. No neighbors so you really have the space all to yourself. The water is beautiful and we enjoyed the fire every night. They have a grill, great AC inside, and the cabin is extremely clean. The host was extremely responsive and helpful for any questions we had. We can't wait to come back!

The master bed was nice and comfy and felt relatively new. The bathroom was really nice and had very good water pressure. The host was very nice, friendly and responsive.

We were looking for privacy and the property has it in spades. We spent the week relaxing and enjoying the quiet. I did have to work remotely for a couple days and the Internet access was great. Our dogs were welcome and they had a blast. Plenty of places to relax, whether on the deck, in the hammock, by the lake, or near the firepit. Julie was readily available and checked to make sure we had everything we needed. Looking forward to coming back again.

The property was just beautiful and had everything you could want. I especially enjoyed swimming in the lake and having the pavilion to stay shaded and cool when we bbq'd and ate outside. It was completely private and peaceful which was exactly what I needed. My pups loved having all the space to run and play. The host was very responsive and all instructions and directions were clear. I would definitely return in the future.

I sent this to the owner yesterday and haven’t received a response. “Hey guys, We left early this morning….my wife has severe panic attacks on really curvy roads and we weren’t able to leave Spring Hill until almost 7pm and it put us coming up the mountain road after dark which only added to her anxiety! She was in tears literally when we finally arrive a little after 9pm. Then we enter the cabin and find several items such as no switch/plug plate covers and electrical cords running here and there. It’s a miracle y’all haven’t had a fire or a child electrocuted. I snore pretty loudly and that’s why I always try to book a unit with 2 bedrooms and what do we find but the 2nd bedroom is a converted porch without any AC! Y’all might want to update your description to let folks know that it is literally a 45 min drive to any food. When I searched for a Monteagle cabin, I assumed it was “close” to our favorite restaurant Papa Ron’s but only to find out that it was a 45 min drive. Might also suggest to bring extra food as we normally just eat out all our meals when we are on a quick weekend getaway so we had a few snacks but nothing for breakfast as we planned on grabbing that but nothing anywhere close.”

Can’t wait to return again

This was our third time staying at this cabin and it is our absolute favorite getaway. It has more than everything you could possibly need to enjoy a relaxing and quiet weekend. It is so quiet - we maybe heard one vehicle drive by per day, other than that is the sound of birds and bees and owls and cicadas. We had a mixture of weather during our time - which is what we hoped for. We relaxed by the water when it was sunny, and snuggled up on hammock under the porch during the rain. We enjoyed morning coffee on the porch swing and wine by the fire during sunset. We’d forgotten to pack a few things (pepper, ketchup, coffee), but all of those items and more essentials were available to us, making everything much easier and more comfortable! We ran into town and had burgers at “Close To Home” which we highly recommend. We enjoyed seeing deer, hawks, blue herons, fish, turtles, salamanders, woodpeckers, hummingbirds. Julie was attentive and kind as always. We will be back very soon.

Peaceful Paradise

We had a great time at this property! It was secluded and peaceful, but offered plenty of amenities and outdoor activities-volleyball, badminton, boating, fishing, just to name a few. It was so nice being right on the water, and being able to see/hear all the different birds and frogs was cool, especially at night with a campfire. We were also a short drive from grocery stores and various hiking trails, we visited Greeter Falls as recommended and loved it! This was a peaceful paradise and we highly recommend staying here!

Our large and growing family needed more room so we purchased this second property on this shared private lake to accommodate our overflow of family and friends.

Why they chose this property

Nature, peaceful, water access and views and plenty of wide open space.

What makes this property unique

Banjo may not be the fanciest cabin around but she is cozy and we have something that other rentals don't have which is seclusion, peace and quiet that you won't find in other areas.
