About this property
"HOWSTHASERENITEE" Coffin Bay. House with bay views
We are a proud PREMIER HOST with the HomeAway/Stayz/VRBO group.
Our fully fenced 3 bedroom house is situated on the corner of Pine Cres and Aleppo Avenue, located one house back from the Esplanade, on a raised corner block looking out over Coffin Bay.
The property can sleep up to 10, if required. Bedroom 1 is the main bedroom and has a queen size bed. Bedroom 2 has two single beds, which can be pushed together if necessary. Bedroom 3 sleeps four people in two double bunks. The L-shaped chaise lounge in lounge area can fold down to form a sofa bed, which may sleep two if necessary. All bedrooms are air conditioned. All beds have mattresses with mattress protectors only.
Linen is NOT included - the costs for this service are detailed below in this property description.
We welcome pets. Our corner block property is fully fenced on all sides. The two neighbour sides have metal fencing, and the two road sides (Aleppo Avenue and Pine Crescent boundary lines) are fully enclosed with melded mesh dog fencing, and closable driveway gating. Regardless, if your dog is a roamer, or digger, please restrain them for their own safety. As hosts, we provide as much protection as possible for pet safety, but the ultimate responsibility remains with guests in this regard.
Bookings during the December/January festive season may have a 4 day minimum stay. If applicable, this will be identified at time of booking enquiry. For acceptance of festive season bookings, they also need to be "back to back", onto any existing bookings already in place.
There is a fully equipped kitchen with individual free standing fridge & freezers. Both the lounge and kitchen area are serviced by a heating/cooling split system. The lounge area has a 58 inch Smart TV with built in chromecast. All you need to do is hotspot it to your phone for data access. There is a separate laundry under main roof, with toilet & shower facilities and a washing machine. No WiFi exists at the property
The large undercover patio has it's own fully lockable outdoor bar, complete with fridge and wall mounted Smart TV, with built in chromecast. Connect it to your mobile hotspot for streaming. Perfect for entertaining and watching your favourite sports programs, or shows. The patio provides a great view of the bay & direct access to the kitchen through a sliding door.
A gas flat plate BBQ and dart board also exists under the covered patio area. You will need to BYO darts.
The property has an additional outdoor toilet, with a wash down shower behind it, with a fish cleaning area and parking for multiple cars. There is also room for a boat or a camping area. Please refer to our Terms and Conditions for additional charges applicable to caravans and camper trailers.
Prices vary based on the seasonal dates requested. Property rates are the same for 1 guest, through to 6 guests. Additional rate of $20 per night, per stay applies to each individual guest above six.
Linen packages are available for $15 per guest, per stay. The linen package includes provision and cleaning of quilt with cover, pillow with protector & pillow slip, fitted bottom sheet, flat top sheet & bath towel per guest. Please make a note in the message section when booking, if the linen package is required. We will contact you and arrange payment.
Guests that do not choose the linen package need to bring all these items for their stay.
Guests are also encouraged to check in with their mobile phone providers, as some do not provide coverage in Coffin Bay. Telstra and Optus are two known, popular effective providers.
The property is a short walk from the shops located in Coffin Bay, such as the Beachcomber Cafe, Post Office, Pharmacy outlet and the local IGA/Cellarbrations Store. The sailing and golf clubs serve meals on selected days, and the Coffin Bay Hotel serves meals every day. It's only a 10 min walk to the jetty and best of all, only 250m to the fabulous & the newly opened Oyster HQ, and the 1802 Oyster Bar & Bistro.
Fishing charters and cruises operate out of Coffin Bay and other adventure tours are available, including oyster tours. Maybe try the Oyster Walk. It is a 15km walking trail offering visitors the opportunity to enjoy the beauty of Coffin Bays abundant flora and fauna plus magnificent water views. This well defined trail meanders along the foreshore, between the holiday shacks and homes and up to the lookout, and through to the Old Oystertown. You can either stroll any section of the Oyster Walk, or take on the challenge of completing one or more of it's sections,
But if walking is not your thing, just sit on the patio & enjoy the view over the bay !!
We look forward to having you stay.
ABOUT THE REGION
Coffin Bay is situated on the Eyre Peninsula just 30 mins drive from Port Lincoln via the B100 bitumen highway, and on the doorstep of the glorious Coffin Bay National Park. There is lots to do: boating, fishing, fishing charters, swimming, canoeing and other water sports, as well as walking trails and great scenery.
Qantas and Rex Airlines fly to Port Lincoln from Adelaide several times a day. Pre-booked hire cars can be picked up at the airport.
From Adelaide it is an approx 700 km drive via Port Augusta to Coffin Bay. There is however, the Sea SA car ferry, which runs across the Spencer Gulf daily from Wallaroo to Lucky Bay. Check their website for more details.
The wild west coastline of the Eyre Peninsula runs north from Coffin Bay and has a series of sandy beaches, rocky cliffs and headlands with almost nobody there. There are virtually no buildings or settlements along this magnificent coastline until Elliston, about 120 km away.
The Coffin Bay National Park is accessed through the Coffin Bay Township. A relatively small and scenically splendid part of the Park is accessed easily on sealed roads . The remainder of the Park to the west has a diversity of scenery, but can only be reached with 4 wheel drive vehicles.
Port Lincoln is well developed for tourism, with attractions such as swimming with tuna, shark cage diving, fishing or sailing charters, wineries and restaurants. Many Port Lincoln people tow their boats to launch them at Farm Beach, as it is widely renowned for its productive fishing grounds. Farm Beach is only 25kms from Coffin Bay. The Port Lincoln National Park has much of interest, but the Coffin Bay National Park has more. It's probably a biased opinion but hey, that's what we reckon.
