A fabulous stay at 40 Paces. Literally across from the beach. A dog walkers paradise. Close to a great cafe - superb lunches and morning coffee. The house is spotless and well appointed. Sitting on the deck watching the water and waves is delightful. We’ll be back!!

Thanks Yvette for your kind words, it was lovely to have you stay with us again.
A marvelous place in a terrific location, with the beach just beyond the backyard. We couldn't explore the surrounds for few day due to wild rainstorms, but fortunately the house was warm and cozy thanks to the fireplace. We'll be coming back for sure.
Well appointed house that worked well for a long weekend away. Very clean and comfortable with a nice outlook towards the ocean. Generous amount of kitchen supplies to support self catering. Looked well equipped for handling a bigger family group.
My family and I stayed here for 7 nights, lovely home with a great view. Perfect layout for families, home is clean and has absolutely everything you need. Dog friendly and dog friendly beach. Close to park and lovely cafe down the road. Browyn is lovely xx
The property was spotless and very well equiped It was great having some pantry basics there. A short walk to the beach which seemed safe. Plenty of places to explore in the area.Jimmy Wild's oysters at Greenwell Point a must to visit.
We honestly could not fault Forty Paces for the quintessential beach house holiday. The location and view are incredible, with the beach just a short stroll from the back gate. The big back yard was a huge win for both kids and dog, and the icing on the cake was whale watching from the deck. Everything has been thought of, and the house is well equipped and spotless. Bron was so lovely and amazing with all communication. We would love to stay here again in a heartbeat, what a special place.
I stayed in this gorgeous house for a wet chilly week with my sister, my 82 year old neighbour and my dog. We could not have been happier with the comfort, warmth and attention to detail that the house offered. Bron is an incredible host, checking in by text without intruding. I have enjoyed many family holidays in Culburra in the past but this is truly the most spectacular property I have visited. A short walk to the beautiful beach, brilliant views from the deck and living areas, an incredibly well equipped kitchen and super comfortable beds. I hope to bring my family back soon!

Sensational property
Thanks Bron, we had a great time in your house. The four of us (and the two four legged hounds) loved just about everything. It is certainly the best house that we have rented to date.
I loved the keyless front door, the coffee pods, the fire, the puzzles and games, the kitchen extras and cooking stuff, the kitchen blackboard so my daughter could write up each days menu, the great backyard for soccer practice, the outlook and so much more. We all look forward to coming back as soon as possible.
The first thing you notice as you walk through Forty Paces is the perfect gap in the trees for an ocean view beyond. A spacious living area with comfy sofas and large dining table open to a deck where we spent loads of time listening to the waves and staring at the water. Being there 5 days in a nonpeak period incl a weekend, no one was around us so very quiet. The yard was great for our dogs to have a run and explore and they loved running along the sand off-leash. The water is hot, bed firm and kitchen well equipped. Actually there are so many thoughtful extras - beach umbrella, coffee machine with loads of pods, baby furniture, books, magazines, games, binoculars to name a few.
Desperate to escape a gloomy Adelaide winter and a hectic work calendar I bundled my Border Collie, Gracie into the car and headed to Forty Paces collecting my mother from rural NSW along the way. Forty Paces was exactly the mid winter haven I desired. A beautiful property extremely well maintained and everything you need for a relaxing and comfortable stay at your finger tips. Bronwyn, the host was lovely to deal with right from the beginning of our booking. She went out of her way to make us feel welcome and comfortable. She showed genuine care that our long journey was safe. Gracie loved her daily walks on the pristine beach a mere stones throw from the back deck. A wonderful home to wile away the hours buried in a book or simply watching the water.
We had a wonderful stay, the property was gorgeous, and the host was fab!
Fab experience we hope to come back again in summer! Great location! Cute and comfortable house! Fantastic and quick response from the host! Had a relaxing and wonderful stay!
Beautifully decorated home with everything we needed. When it was wet for few days, we had plenty to do, as many games and books are available. Lovely log fireplace. Great access to beach and plenty of room for our dog to run around.
Spent a lovely and idyllic 4 nights at this property and left super relaxed. The property is very well fitted out lots of areas to kick back and read a good book loved the back deck hearing and seeing the ocean. My six month old German Shepard had a ball and came back very tired from all the beach plays. The beach access is so close walk out back gate and either direction beach stairs a minute away. Up the road less than five minutes walk coffee and takeaway shop as well. Bronwyn the owner was fantastic and contactable will definitely look forward to coming for another stay
Great stay - the house is warm, inviting and cosy.
Doesn't feel cold or uninviting like other holiday homes which is so nice. Really well furnished and when we arrived everything was perfect.
The house is so well stocked with books, games, fire wood, the kitchen is well stocked and they even have dog bowls for your pet!
The only downside for us that would impact returning agin - the sofa is incredibly uncomfortable. I did mention this and i was told its a feather sofa that requires to be reset but its more than that - it has no support and is lumpy and considering the rest of the house is great it really lets it down. We found the bed very hard (but it may suit others).
The garden was great our dog loved it. Apart from those two things i would have rated it 5 stars!
When you need to recharge your batteries it doesn’t get any better than this property. Prime location, beautiful home and wonderful owners...need I say more
Great place to stay. Friendly host. Great location. All the extras that make your stay really comfortable. Our dog was really well looked after And he left very tired and happy.
