Offered for daily or short term rent is a super clean, fully furnished one bedroom 54 sq.m. cottage, built at the backyard of an owner’s main residence in Cook. Fully detached from the main house it offers comfort and privacy. Situated in a quiet residential area, yet only a stone throw from all the facilities Canberra has to offer. Just 2 minutes walk to Cook shops and bus stop. 10 minutes walk to Jamison Plaza (Large shopping centre with Aldi and Coles supermarkets) 5 mins drive to Univesity of Canberra, Calvary Hospital and Belconnen Town Centre. 10 min drive to ANU.

Has a quality Queen size bed with Sleepmaker mattress and brand new double leather sofa that converts to a bed in the bedroom plus a fold-away bed can be set up in the lounge room if needed. Linen provided. All bills incuded. Free Wi-Fi Internet. Reverse cycle air-conditioner. Pod coffee machine. Large fridge. Microwave. Washing machine. Crockery and Cutlery. 32? brand new LED TV and DVD player and a quality 2 seater sofa in the main room. Dinner table and 4 chairs. Electric stove. Combined toilet/shower room is very modern and functional. Small verandah outside. Plenty of off-street parking. Baby cot and high chair available on request. Any Canberra short to medium term visitor will find our cottage to be an ideal Canberra base, a home away from home.

Cottage Stay.

Despite being in "the suburbs," the cottage stay was quiet and peaceful. There was able space, the bed was more than comfortable, the cottage was clean and nicely decorated. The hosts were friendly and accommodating to the lateness of our arrival. I would happily stay here again.

Hidden gem

My husband and I recently spent 6 nights at the Cook Cottage and loved every moment. It was conveniently situated and was spacious and cosy as well having all of the facilities we required. We would certainly return on our next trip to Canberra and would recommend it to our friends.

So clean...

We thought we we the first people to stay. Comfortable and quiet. Beautifully equipped, courteous and obliging hosts. Will stay there again, when next in Canberra. Have already recommended to friends who are considering going to Canberra.

Secluded quiet cottage in Cook - close to the centre of Canberra

Lovely, comfortable little cottage with small front verandah, with everything we needed, including well-equipped kitchen. The fridge was a good size with a reasonable-sized freezer. The bed was very comfortable, and had a light feather quilt, along with another very thin quilt, which was handy for the first colder night (it had been raining all day when we arrived). The shower is great - easy to adjust and good water pressure. The cottage is set right at the back corner of the owner's leafy back yard (their house is at the front near the street), so it was super quiet and peaceful - we wouldn't have known we were in the middle of the capital City! But, it was also super-handy to many of the main attractions, eg only 8 minutes to the National Zoo & Aquarium, and similarly close to Lake Burley Griffin, where we went on a very interesting boat cruise the Saturday morning. The owner also let us park in his driveway, so that we were off the street, which was very good as well. Thank you very much for a great stay Victor & Julia!

Lovely cottage in host's back yard

We stayed for six nights. Cook Cottage is very well presented, and in a quiet location. Hosts were friendly and not the least bit intrusive despite us staying in their back yard. Easy access to both Canberra sights and Belconnen make the location excellent.
