Glendara Cottage - located at Harrow
Situated on a picturesque rural property 12kms south west of the historic township of Harrow, Glendara Cottage is an ideal place to rest and recharge.
Ideally situated for a restful stopover, halfway between Adelaide and Melbourne.
Children and the young at heart will enjoy many aspects of seeing a working sheep farm in action. Depending on the time of year there will always be plenty of animals to see, from ewes and lambs to our friendly house cows, calves, sheep dogs, chooks and Sasha the cat.
The Glenelg River which runs through the property provides guests with the opportunity for fishing, bird watching or simply appreciating the magnificent Red Gums. Rocklands Reservoir is the source of the Glenelg River which weaves and winds its way through Balmoral, Harrow, Casterton and then to Nelson where it flows into the Southern Ocean.
You will enjoy a home away from home when you stay at Glendara Cottage with everything you need to make your stay memorable. Whether you are staying for one night or a week you will appreciate all the little extras to help you relax and unwind in the comfort of this cosy cottage.
Enjoy the warmth of the wood heater during your winter stay, or cool off in the homestead pool during the hot summer months. Relax with an in-house movie or play a game of Scrabble or Guess Who from the games cupboard. Enjoy a BBQ on the verandah and watch the sunset over the top of our Sugar Loaf Hill.

The boys stayed here while working over in Edenhope and were really happy with the place. Clean, comfortable and exactly as advertised. Good setup on a working sheep farm, nice and quiet, and only about 20 minutes from where they were working. Plenty of firewood for the heater, which went down well after a cold day on site. Would definitely stay again.

Beautiful cottage in the heart of the country.
Met the owners who were just a delightful couple, cottage has everything you need to make your stay a very comfortable one. Is in the quietest of places and surrounded by lovely countryside, no hesitation in stopping there again..

Homely cottage away from it all
The cottage was well presented and with a well equipped kitchen, and is good value for the rental cost. Nice to be on a working farm. Cheryl & Peter were very friendly hosts.

Glendara Cottage a peaceful haven.
The cottage is clean, cosy and very comfortable. Cherryl and Geoff greet you with supplies in the fridg and plentiful wood for the Canara heater. The surrounding countryside is stunningly beautiful and perfect for those seeking a quiet and restful time away.

Spacious and cozy cottage in a gorgeous farm location!
Geoff and Cherryl are the warmest and most accommodating hosts. They had the fire lit when we arrived as it was a cool night. Electric blankets and doonas kept us toasty as we slept. The rooms are super clean and comfortable. We enjoyed all the breakfast amenities and the kitchen was fully stocked for self serve meals. The veranda caught the sun all day and we certainly took advantage of that, between walking the pasture to cuddle orphan lambs. Perfect stop-over point traveling to or from Adelaide via the Great Ocean Road. If the opportunity arises, we will return again!

The Van Winkle family were fantastic guests! We loved hosting them and so glad they were able to get a cuddle of the orphan lambs and have a look at the farm...we hope you come again someday! They left the cottage spotless too!

A lovely time
We had such a great time. Cherryl and Jeff made us feel at home straight away, and the kids loved being shown around. Jeff quickly became a bit of a hero for the kids ( sorry). The cottage was very comfortable and we had everything that we needed. The views were beautiful. The highlight for me was feeding the animals and being followed by the cows. Thanks Jeff and Cherryl for a wonderful time.

Delightful property, great value.
Wonderfully presented cottage/house with everything we could have wanted. Breakfast goodies included freshly baked local bread and new laid eggs.
So nice to look out at the country and surrounding farm which we were free to explore with our hosts. .

Perfect bliss
Glendara cottage is a very peaceful haven. Lovely walks along the Glenelg river, black swans, parrots, etc. Sat in the shade of old trees very relaxing.
The hosts Geoff and Cheryl are " The best " The cottage has everything, fully equipped kitchen, lovely bed, beautiful linen.
We felt well and truly rested
We came as quests and left as friends. So happy we found your lovely farm cottage.

Great property and beautiful area
We had a lovely overnight stay at Glendara on our way from Melbourne to Adelaide. The property is really comfortable and is in such a beautiful, peaceful location. Breakfast provisions were ample. Email communications with the owner was fast and very helpful. Would recommend Glendara wholeheartedly! Just wish we could have stayed longer.
