What a wonderful old Queenslander! Tracey made the check-in process easy and was very quick to reply to any questions we had. The girls (dogs) loved the yard and were able to run around to their heart's content. Will definitely put this property on our list of 'yes' to stay at in Brisbane!
Just got back from a lovely stay at this little Queenslander where we enjoyed a week in the big smoke with our children and fur baby! Loved the access to the park and the deck out the back which we sat on a couple of the evenings for dinner and a nice glass of wine! We took our bikes and found the area under the house great for storage! We rode around the city utilising the many bike paths which was fun for us all! Great locals cafes, bakeries and restaurants! The bakery at the end of the street has the best croissants! The house is well equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay! Our dog was also nice and secure in the good sized back garden and enjoyed the space!
Perfect location. House was as described, with everything you could need for a short stay. We stayed, with our dog, for 5 weeks in July. The Park behind was easily accessible for dog walks and exercise. Great location for walking to shops, restaurants and coffee shops and a short stroll to the ferry terminal. Tracey was very helpful and quick to answer any questions.
We stayed here for three weeks over Xmas with our four legged friend while visiting family. The house and location was exactly as described. Perfect location, house was very well appointed, kitchen well equipped, and everything clean and tidy. Loved the Xmas tree and decorations in the cupboard that we were able to use! Tracey was a great host; always available to answer any questions and had great recommendations and knowledge of the local area. The house is nestled in a quiet street with friendly neighbours. Cafes, restaurants, movie theatre, ferry - all just a short walk away. Had a great stay here and would thoroughly recommend Hawthorne on the Park. We hope to be back!
From booking on line to booking out, the process was so easy and so professional. The house had everything and is very picturesque backing onto a park. We were in Brisbane for work and leisure and the house was close to the city for work, and accessible to restaurants and even walking distance to a cinema. Clean and very tidy and a beautiful neighborhood. Congratulations to the owners. We will be back!!! Many thanks.
Our three boys tossed there screens to the side every day and ran out to the park ( via the back gate) to play - lovely to see! The location to shops and cafes and the movies is 2nd to none. A wonderful stay

We had a great time staying at this property. The house had everything we needed, comfortable beds and fantastic location. Tracey was great and easy to communicate with. The family particularly enjoyed having the park at the back of the property and we loved how close we were to places to eat. Also located near a ferry stop which provides a great opportunity for a trip to the city along the river

Location - tick. Cottage - tick. Presentation - tick. Well equipped - double tick! We stayed at Hawthorne on the Park for 4 days over Christmas (2018) and the cottage was perfect for us, and our small family. Tracey does it very well - we’ll definitely be back!

Excellent, the perfect home away from home
This home has everything you need and is within easy walking distance of restaurants, cinemas, barbers, coffee shops and more. Quiet street with friendly neighbours backing on to a great park that our dog loved. Watch the football in the afternoon on the weekend and do some laps around the park to get the blood flowing in the mornings and afternoons during the week. Great.

Absolutely Fabulous!
My husband and I stayed at "Hawthorne on the Park" for 8 nights in November 2017.
It was the most relaxing holiday we have had in a long while. Fabulous cottage very homely , comfortable beds and a very well stocked kitchen with everything you could possible need. Along with this the area itself is amazing, easy walking distance to half a dozen restaurants and a very ritzy supermarket. Also walking distance to the ferry. Tracey was also incredibly helpful with information about the area and with any questions both prior to and during our stay.
We loved it and we will be back.
Thank you Tracey.

A "must stay" if in Brisbane
We booked Hawthorne on the Park for four nights as we needed to be somewhere near Coopers Plains, Coorparoo and Mt Gravatt. This property suited us perfectly! We usually stay in hotels in the city, but now have a fur baby and did not want to leave her behind....Tracey kindly gave us permission to bring her along and she had the best time meeting up with other pups on our walks around the oval and play dates with the friendly pups next door. The house itself was charming, very clean, great beds, comfortable furniture, fabulous shower...it felt just like home. The kitchen was very well equipped and had everything you could possibly need if you were staying for any length of time. The yard is great for dogs and the back gate allows access to the park for walks/runs. There are a couple of eateries and a great gift shop only a short walk away. We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely re-book the house when we next travel to Brisbane. Thanks to Tracey for being a great hostess.

Fantastic property
From start to finish Hawthorne on the Park was enjoyable, relaxing and inviting. The house was spotless, very welcoming and little details like a wooden toy left in the lounge room for our baby to play with made it even more lovely. The property manager was friendly, considerate and excellent to deal with. Thank you- we will be spreading the word.

About the host
Hosted by Tracey Hurn
Hi there potential guests and possible hosts.
My husband (Richard) and I would love to host you at one of our properties "Chill Camp Hill", "Hawthorne on the Park" and "Bella Bulimba". We also host an executive apartment in New Farm "LUXE on Brunswick" for it's owner Bill. We have both lived in Brisbane for over 25 years and we love our city! Whats more, we also love our little corner of Brisbane, yes we live in Camp Hill (only 5 mins from Hawthorne and Bulimba). So if you need help with the where/what/why we are more than happy to point you in the right direction.
We love to socialise and eating out with friends or entertaining guests at home is what we do.
We also love to travel, however now that we are getting a little bit older we love the comforts of home. The 3 properties are decked out with all the important stuff... too many to list but a clean kitchen, aircon, dishwasher, comfy beds and outdoor entertaining area (especially in warm climates) are our must haves these days.
We are looking forward to meeting you all and hope that you enjoy your stay.
kind regards Tracey and Richard
