Great place for families

We enjoyed family meals in the kitchen and thought the location was nice. Easy to get to the beach and the bike trails. The view of the pond was nice during morning coffee. It was a little tricky getting the TVs figured out, but we got it sorted. The neighborhood was quiet and friendly. Overall, a great place for families to grab a little beach time together.

Great home and location

We really enjoyed our stay in this bright, clean and inviting home. Bedrooms were roomy, great closets and common areas were spacious too. Loved seeing wildlife from kitchen/den and relaxing on back deck was so peaceful. Biked everywhere and walk to beach was so easy too. Suggestions would be to upgrade light switches, provide coffee filter and consider new mattresses. They were clean just not very supportive. House was great for our dog too-thank you!

Nice house… disappointed with Island Rentals

The house was very nice. Some tired finishes as others have said but it serves the purpose fine for a vacation. Very nice and quiet neighborhood. Only issue we had was when Island rentals called me an hour before we arrived and tried to get me to pay a $250 pet fee that was not disclosed anywhere on vrbo nor by Island Rentals when I talked with them and made their required prepayment for the entire rental 30 days before arrival. I didn’t think it was right so I refused to pay it and they basically just called me a jerk and hung up on me. My family has been renting houses in Sea Pines since I was a kid and we’ve never had someone treat us like that. So.. loved the house but will steer clear of this property management company in the future.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: First the positive. The home was in a great location and the back porch was wonderful overlooking the canal. The grill was clean and worked so well that we decided to grill out for most of our meals. The house was roomy and decorated nicely. My only issue- and it was a big one -was that the house smelled like wet dog. I vacuumed, disinfected and bought an air freshener which helped to mask the smell. . Also, there were stains on the carpet that looked as if they were probably pet stains. I didn’t call the rental company because I just figured that this is what you ge when you stay in a pet friendly rental. I will definitely watch for a pet free home in the future.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house was exactly as pictured. Very spacious with plenty of room for six people. When we arrived there was an odd smell that we all noticed. We assumed it was from animals being allowed to stayin the house. The smell became pretty strong so we sprayed Fabreze which helped some. One guest visited to Urgent Care on the island with respiratory problems after two days, and one guest came home with same issues. Not sure if it's dog dander or what. But it's something you need to be aware of. The rug at the front entrance is curled up on all corners, which poses a fall hazard. The only other negative was the grill was left dirty, and there was nothing to clean it with. We took the grates off and did the best we could cleaning them in the kitchen sink.

We enjoyed staying there this time as well but decided to leave on Wed. Sept 28 due to impending hurricane. We are 80 years old and don't have much daring do left so we came home incase the storm took a direct hit. We. morning the storm track was forecasting a direct hit on Hilton Head so we are out of having a good time for 7 nights. No your fault and we are not complaining.We like to cook most of our meals in the house. The MICROWAVE on the counter top is worn out and barely working. It doesn't heat well and many of the touch pad number buttons do not work. Cannot set power level and cannot set accurate cook times.We pant to come over again later this fall and hope to stay at 5 Cannon Row so would be nice to have a microwave that worked correctly.Thank you for helping us with our visits to Hilton Head over the years.

Charming, Well-Stocked Home But the Beds Will Break You

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I travel regularly for work and have stayed in hundreds of hotels, Airbnbs, and vacation rentals, so I’ve seen just about everything. This house stood out in a lot of great ways, but also had a few key drawbacks.The house itself is fantastic. It feels more like staying at a relative’s place than a rental. It is packed with everything you could need: plenty of dishes, silverware, dual oven, coffee maker, blender, grill, and a garage that was perfect for storing our beach gear. There is even a car in the garage with a “do not touch” sign, which added to the homey feel.There is definitely some clutter, but the kind that gives the house personality. One drawer had a flashlight, a battery, and a few other random items. Closets and cabinets felt like the home was in regular use. There were puzzles and board games, which made it feel like we were house sitting for an uncle who just handed us the keys and said, “Make yourself at home.”The lagoon view in the backyard was a highlight. We saw alligators every day—swimming, lounging near the bank, or slowly gliding across the water while we had coffee on the porch. The swinging chair out back was everyone’s favorite spot.The walk to the beach was about 8 to 10 minutes. If you travel light or bike, it is easy. But if you are hauling a wagon full of gear and kids like we were, it is not ideal. The narrow trail after crossing Sea Pines Drive made it tough to maneuver.Island Rentals was great to work with. Trash pickup twice a week was a convenient touch.The downside was the beds. The twins felt like exposed springs and the others were flat and loud. Everyone struggled to sleep. I’ve stayed in hundreds of places and these were some of the worst mattresses I’ve experienced. Unless the beds are replaced, we would not stay again.If sleep comfort is not a big deal, this house has everything else go

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Very clean. Short walk to excellent beach. 6 people stayed and could not tell anyone else was there when we were all in our rooms. Table big enough for 8 and common area big enough for 6 or 8. Could sleep 8 with sleeper sofa. Beautiful big picture window was nice to stare out onto lagoon and relax. Back patio also nice to let the work melt away. Bike rental included was convenient. Will be returning for sure. Master bed to soft for us, guest queen was good and twins were hard but comfortable. Great neighbors and friendly streets surrounding.
