My family and I had a pleasant stay at the Gatekeeper’s Cabin. The bed was comfortable as was the indoor temperature. We had everything we needed as far as amenities, and our kids really, really loved being able to walk outside and pat cows and horses each day! The mountain views were awesome—a beautiful sight to wake up to!I think a new sofa bed for secondary guests (or kids) would be a fantastic addition, as well as a mirror and ironing board (considering the wedding destination that the Scenic Rim is), but these definitely were not dealbreakers! It was, overall, quite a comfy stay, and great value for money in this area. I’d definitely consider staying here again, if ever in Boonah.
Super cute cabin, we enjoyed our farm stay at the gatekeeper’s cabin. Such a pretty setting, we loved watching the cows, feeding the horses and birds, and having a fire on chilly winter nights.
Beautiful stay, kids loved feeding carrots to the horses

No welcome information pack. No info on local attractions etc. We had to work out how to do things - TV, coffee etc ourselves. No sugar on hand for the coffee.Very basic at a premium price. We had a leak in the toilet pipes, which the host attended promptly.
We had a short stay that we thoroughly enjoyed. Nice to see the cattle and horses moving about. Plenty of lovely birds came in to visit. Very close to Boonah and local pub where the food was really nice and beer cold. Very peaceful setting, would highly recommend.
This is a delightful cottage just outside Boonah, in a beautiful farm setting with views of the surrounding hills and farms. The cottage is comfortable with everything you need for a weekend getaway or a longer stay.It is only a few minutes outside of Boonah and there are plenty of National Parks and sights to visit during your stay as well.
The host was very welcoming and obliging and the property is in good condition and clean although it has become dated. Admittedly, the decor is in keeping with a farm stay. The property is very peaceful and the scenic countryside was very green after some good rain. There is a beautiful view of the scenic rim mountains which were quite spectacular when there was bright sunshine piercing through dark skies. Unfortunately there is a little or no mobile phone reception and no Internet but for some guest this would be an attraction. It is unfortunate how reliant we have become on an Internet connection for entertainment, especially when it comes to streaming movies and shows.
