Very comfortable, well equipped and very tastefully decorated. We really enjoyed our stay.
My daughter and I visited so she could complete in a competition. We had a lovely stay, location was fantastic, beautiful accomodation with everything we needed. The breakfast and snack supplies were very much appreciated and a lovely touch.
The property was perfect for our two-night stay. Great location with everything we needed. While the building is dated, the studio was modern, clean and beautifully presented.
This property was beautifully positioned close to Bar beach. The owner was so easy to talk to, check in was super easy and we loved the decor of the home. Will definatly book again!
Everything about this unit & host was perfect.
The location was great for just walking to our destinations, easy to find & exactly described. The host was easy to contact & great.
Will happily stay again next time we are in town.
Stayed for 5 nights and found the unit was fantastic. Cleanliness was outstanding, a great range of staples in the fridge and cupboards, comfy bed, convenient location almost next door to a pub which serves good food etc. The unit is stylishly decorated and equiped with every appliance we needed. This accommodation is perfect for a couple visiting Newcastle for any reason.
We stayed at Catherine’s apartment for 5 nights in summer. Beautifully decorated as per other reviews and amazing location. As well as being walking distance to the beach, The Junction is a 5 minute walk away with great cafes and a supermarket. Catherine’s communication was excellent.
I recently attended LINGARD private hospital! The accommodation was a perfect location. We parked the car and literally could walk to every needed. The hospital was in the same block the local pub was next door! A supermarket and chemist was a short 5 min walk. Accomodation 10/10.
Such a lovely little unit. Beautifully renovated & immaculately presented. Lovely host who really goes the extra mile to make sure your stay is wonderful. Handy location, walking distance to the shopping centre & a couple of pubs & a short drive to the beach. Really thoughtful inclusions topped it all off!

Beautifully appointed apartment.
Has everything and more that you could need. Kind addition of cold beers and goodies were much appreciated.
Great communication from Cath.
Close to everything and the pub nearby has great food and bottle shop.
Can highly recommend for anyone.
Brilliant little unit in Merewether. The block of units looks pretty tired, but the unit itself has a fantastic fit out - tastefully decorated, everything you need: appliances, TV, WiFi, breakfast items. Extremely comfortable.Great location in Merewether, easy to reach the beaches, pubs (2 nearby), The Junction shopping area. Great place for a get away. Highly recommend!

Heads up
Suitable for couple heads up about pub on corner would have changed our mind seeing we had a three year old.
As a previous person said - the outside is not much to look at but the apartment itself is really excellent. Very clean, good location and everything you would need for a stay. The decor is very well done, comfortable bed, good shower and little added touches of milk and drinks in the fridge, cereal and nibbles all combined make it a great place to stay in Newcastle. Short walk to the beach, pub just down the road has good food and the local shopping centre about a 5 minute walk away has everything you would need - and many coffee shops open early in the morning too. Even the neighbors that we met were friendly and helpful. Highly recommend.
The property is very comfortable. It had been left in a welcoming way for our arrival.
It seemed more spacious than the pictures suggested.
The bed is good. There is almost everything you could need.(could've done with a smaller saucepan a couple of times.)
Would've appreciated more sound insulation from the street (rowdies from pub couple of nights and traffic).
Beutiful sea front and beaches with good food out lets.
Convenient shops and public transport.
Loads to do and see in and around Newcastle.
Very tight parking space.

Merewether
We enjoyed out stay. The unit is light, airy, comfortable and well-furnished in a modern style. The kitchen has every appliance you could need and there are many more items of food that you would expect in a B&B. However the breakfast staples could use some personal attention, e.g. the only bread was the remains of a 2 months-old loaf of gluten-free in the freezer. There were only two teabags in the net bag provided, though we did find a few more in a container of sugar sachets. And for the price of the accommodation there could have been fresh milk and not just long-life.
We were very happy right from the start with the accommodation. The apartment block itself is nothing great to look at, but inside it is very relaxing, comfortable and clean. There is an air conditioner but we were happy with the coolness the overhead fans provided. The owner had set up an air mattress in the lounge room and this was very comfortable as a second bed, unlike the sofa beds that one often comes across in other accommodation. The area generally was very quiet in terms of noise in the evening, with the pub just up the road posing no problems at all. It was a nice surpise to find a six-pack of Stella Artois in the refrigerator, compliments of the owner. The accommodation was well stocked with cooking implements (again, this is not always the case with other accommodation) and the stovetop (induction), oven and microwave all modern and functional (and instruction manuals in one of the drawers in case of problems - I am not used to an induction cooker but found out quickly via my phone that Lo stands for Locked, not Low!). We often walked to the beach - Dixon Park Beach probably the closest (a good twenty-minute walk), and Bar Beach possibly the next closest (a little more) - but both no more than a five-minute drive away and very easy to park near the beach. The Junction Shopping Centre is also very close with a good range of shops, including Coles. The only down side - and nothing very serious - was that previous holiday makers had left some food in the fridge, probably OK with things like vinegar but not quite so appealing with regards to open jars of jam, vegemite etc. We certainly would stay again for all the reasons mentioned above, not to mention that Darby Street with all it has to offer is quite close. And Catherine was quick to answer inquiries and very helfpul.
A great little find...all the treats left for us were such a bonus, especially as we didn't have a car and unable to go shopping in the first night.
Tasteful decor... Thank you
