Memorial Day weekend at the VRBO was exactly what we needed — great weather, great company, and plenty of laughs. We spent time grilling, exploring the area, and simply disconnecting from the everyday routine. Grateful for the time spent with family at this amazing house and already looking forward to the next getaway.

Very cool house with unique designs! The road right before the house was a little washed out so our small car was a little tricky but a truck or SUV would be fine!

We enjoyed the space available inside for my family of 5. Older home but clean, outside space overgrown and not usable but the location was great for going to Six Flags and the Arch. Was close to many attractions.

We had a fun family vacation here. The cabin was fun and in a great location (30 mins to downtown St. Louis and 5 minutes from a state park with fun hiking.)

Hidden cabin

A little hidden back off the trail but the place was very spacious and had everything we needed. Only down to the weekend was that the yard area was not cut so we didn't feel comfortable doing a fire or adventure through the area. All and all we truly enjoyed this quirky little place

Cool cabin

This quirky cabin is so unique and interesting that it’s almost a destination in itself. It’s located in a beautiful area with nearby trails that offer wonderful views. The interior of the cabin is comfortable with much more room to gather than you realize from the listing.

Awesome quirky rustic downhome roomy cabin

Big beautiful home with coutry downhome feeling. Very spacious large decks many entry and exits. Scenere is definitely outdoor woodesy. Very functional with all accommodations. Will be back hopefuly longer visit next time.

Not for everyone, but we loved it

Really fun place. Lots of room to entertain, lovely views and as everyone says, quirky.We are low maintenance, and it’s a low maintenance type of place.If you just want to have a fun place to stay that isn’t just some boring antiseptic housing development, you’ll like it.Very close to Castlewood Park, where I was hoping to get some hikes and running, sadly, it was flooded out, but it’s a great park I’ve run at before. We come to STL a lot and we will return.

We were in town dealing with family issues, the properties proximity to nature & to town was aweso…

The only thing I would say is this property is not handicap accessible, so if you have issues with stairs this is not the place for you… Otherwise ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ across the board… Would definitely recommend and stay again…

Thanksgiving 2024

We really enjoyed our stay. This is a unique place to stay for sure, but the house was very clean and comfortable. The kitchen was pretty well stocked with what you need. Two negatives: there is a picture of a white neighboring house associated with the listing when you look at location, and the gravel part of the road could really use some repair. If we did not have a truck to navigate the snow we got while we were there, it could have been a real problem. We would stay here again.

Loads of character!

This cabin like home has so much charm. It was almost whimsical. It was sort of tricky to find but worth it. Hidden away from the buzz of the city and still close. Loads of steps throughout so might not be good for someone who can’t do steps. Fun for our family.
