ESCAPE AND GET AWAY FROM IT ALL! Cro’s Nest is a lakefront home on property at the northern tip of the Door County peninsula. Cro’s Nest provides a remote private escape from the daily grind. Guests have loved their retreat at this beautiful home overlooking the waters of Lake Michigan and Green Bay. Enjoy views of Wisconsin Bay, Washington Island and the Plum Island lighthouse. You will be awed by the 3 story spiral staircase that takes you down to the water from the top of Table Bluff. Enjoy a swim or leisurely float in the waters known as “Death’s Door” - where Lake Michigan and Green Bay waters meet. The home has a large kitchen with newer stainless steel appliances and a Jenn-Aire gas range, large dining room that can seat 8 to 12, large master suite, 3 additional bedrooms, 2 loft areas, walk out basement with pool table, large sunroom off kitchen, multiple decks and patio areas. The water views and the stairway to the shore are AMAZING! Watch the pelicans, cranes, eagles, seagulls and other water birds soar by from the back deck or by the edge of the bluff. You won’t want to leave the beautiful backyard and you will never forget the nights by the fire, listening to the waves roll in and watching the sky change colors as the sun sets. Once darkness arrives, enjoy lights from Washington Island and the Plum Island and Escanaba lighthouses.

Need to get away?

This is it! Away from Door County crowds. Instead you find solitude, breath-taking views with a comfortable porch & sunroom, a fully functioning kitchen, a dark sky perfect for star gazing, and a friendly & responsive host. We have booked this oasis for 3 straight years and are looking forward to our 4th!

Amazing house and property

Very well maintained, clean comfortable house and wonderful hosts. The grounds and view at the house are amazing. Great communication and check in process. Close to Northport car ferry for access to Washington Island. Also ferry at Gills Rock if not taking a vehicle. Visited Newport SP and went on the Sister Bay Boat tour to Deaths Door. Nice area to gather around fire pit and visit. Very relaxing! Thanks Lee and Holly for your hospitality!

It's always a joy...

... to spend a week at the Cro's nest! Lee is a kind and generous host and his love for the property truly makes us feel like guests in a treasured place. Again this year we saw so many pelicans, cormorants, gulls, and just one raven — but we heard it, early every morning, as it flew up the coast. I wish I were there on the back porch right this minute.

A Slice of Heaven

We loved this property last year so we booked it again this year-and it was awesome! The house is perched on top of a bluff so the view from the porch is stunning! You can see Washington Island and the UP over the meeting of Green Bay and Lake Michigan. Birding is great here from tiny hummingbirds to giant herons. The location is outside of the Door County hustle & bustle and close to great hiking & kayaking. The owner is very accessible and accommodating. We will return next summer for our 3rd visit.

Water, Woods, Wonderful!

Our family has come to this property for years and we love it. Half of us love the back porch with its hummingbirds and view of the water, and the other half love the front sunroom porch. Lots of space, water access for the intrepid, and beautiful woods all around for walking.
