The cottage was very family friendly as well as dog friendly. Very clean upon arrival, it is an older cottage with loads of charm and you have to appreciate the original structure with charming updates. Plenty of space for our family with 6 adults and two small children. The fenced yard was great for the dog and we loved having a campfire at night. We definitely would love to stay again. You have a busy street however the location is central to reach Sister Bay, Ephraim and Baileys Harbor all within minutes. Fish Creek is a bit further however, not a bad drive. Lots of great restaurants and shopping. The Antique Store Chelsea is wonderful and right down the street. The cottage owners are wonderful to work with, very accommodating and love families and dogs. We felt very welcome and they were quick to respond to any questions which was wonderful! Thank you for sharing your lovely cottage!
We had a very nice and enjoyable stay at this property. We had three family couples and a small dog. One couple (with the dog) opted to stay in the grainary. There was plenty of space to sleep - there were a number of unused beds. I loved the layout of the house, and loft beds would probably be a lot of fun for kids. We were very pleased with the cleanliness, ease of moving in, and figuring out how things all worked. The location is wonderful - three miles south of Sister Bay, two miles east of Ephraim, and five miles north of Bailey's Harbor - which made going places very easy and convenient. We enjoyed having the yard, including two uses of the fire pit. Guests should be aware that the location convenience means that the property is on Highway 57, a busy highway, but not a problem for us. Overall, we were very happy with our stay, and would recommend this property to others.
Cute house, as advertised. Nice for our group. Probably a 100+ yr old farmhouse. Just outside Sister Bay and probably equal distance to Ephram. Good location central within DC main communities. The "she shed "(grainery) worked well for us for an adult sleep space but it has no bathroom which is a drawback. Nice firepit area with wood provided, and a nice grill. We would stay here again.
We stayed at the property for our annual family vacation. The house was able to accommodate our group of 6 comfortably. The road was a bit busy, and we wished the house had more than one TV for R&R after a long day of exploring Door County.
My whole family (including my husband, 3 kids, sister, parents & 2 dogs) stayed here for a long weekend, and we had such a wonderful time. Plenty of space!! This is a unique property with very cool, original old barn house features, which this group of rehabbers really appreciated! The hosts were wonderful. I highly recommend this property!
The little white farmhouse was such an amazing place to stay! It is just that, an old farmhouse but so much work has been done to keep it updated, yet keep it as close to “grandmas house” and it does that! It is clean and so well-set up. Our teenager loved having her room to herself, my emerging teenager and tween loved the little loft off of the second bedroom downstairs and my husband and myself loved the suite upstairs! It was perfect! It was our first time in Door County and we were perfectly placed to get around to all the little towns. Sister Bat was our favorite. The Wild Tomato had AWESOME pizza! The only thing we would recommend is since we were able to bring our dog, it would have been nice to have a closed in backyard so he could have spent a little more time outside. Finally, the location worked fine for us, however, it might be tricky for families with small kiddos, we were right on 57 and it could get a little busy at times. But The little white farmhouse was so wonderful! Thanks To the Becks for taking such good care of this place and making it a treat to stay!
The house was stocked with plenty of supplies, the atmosphere and decor were very nice. Great proximity to both Ephraim and Sister Bay as well as other DC spots. Great, relaxing spot to stay.
The host was extremely responsive. We had some questions about appliances and he responded immediately..The house had lots of different sleeping options and the location was excellent.
Very unique property looked very much like posting except it is on a busy street. However, the back yard if very nice and private. Would definitely stay there again.
The property is really one of a kind. It's been thoroughly updated with lots of amenities but hasn't lost any farmhouse charm. The location was also excellent, 5 minutes to Sister Bay and Ephraim, 10 minutes to Bailey's Harbor but lots of country feel and privacy at the property. Would definitely recommend staying here.
Renovated, but preserved the original beauty of the home. All amenities listed, were readily available. Communication with the owners was wonderful. One note if you stay with parents who are a little bit older. Stairs are steep to the upper level and a little difficult to navigate at the top to get to the main room. Clean upon arrival!
Would recommend the property!
We hoped to enjoy a short getaway with family that had space for all to appreciate. We got exactly what we hoped for at this property!
The kitchen was the perfect size for cooking our meals. The layout of the house made great sense for all; our teens had their own space, our littles too. Plenty of parking and a lovely backyard were available for our use. This property was just right for us this time! We really had a wonderful time!
We enjoyed the convenient location and features of the home. It is decorated so cute and they have thought of many details for the guest. Due to the weather, we did not get a chance to utilize the fire pit or outdoor space but that looks like a fun asset in the summer months. While the home sleeps a whole bunch, the living/eating area is tighter for groups above 6- something the outdoor area may alleviate for other groups. Overall a fun stay for our family.
This house was perfect for a stay with my sister and my mom. The house has such charm and character. The beds were very comfortable and there were plenty of spaces for us to play games, do puzzles and relax during snowy cold days. We really loved everything about the house and will definitely come back!
This property is perfect in every way. Gorgeously decorated, thoughtfully appointed, and in the perfect location for everything door county has to offer! We can’t wait to return!

Best stay we've had in DC! Don't hesitate to book!
We had an amazing stay at the Little White Farmhouse, we highly recommend it, and would definitely book again; hopefully for a longer stay. The house was well appointed and had everything we needed and more (I didn't realize there were 3 full bathrooms when I booked, that was a great surprise!). There was plenty of room for everyone; kids and adults and the extra "suite" separate from the house was amazing for my parents who get up a lot earlier than everyone else. The yard was fabulous, we enjoyed the fire pit and the kids played games in the backyard and the adults enjoyed watching from the small deck. We made several meals during our short stay and the kitchen provided everything we needed. Everyone in our party was more than pleased with the Little White Farmhouse.
The location was perfect and very central to everything that we wanted to do and see in Door County. The house was very charming; you can see and feel that a lot of thought was put into their choice of furnishings and the little touches to make your stay the very best. Don't hesitate to book this great getaway home!

Almost, but missed the mark
Our hosts Dan and Amy did a good job refurbishing and decorating this quaint farmhouse. Our biggest complaint was with the cleanliness and I blame that on their cleaning service. There were other areas where they missed the mark too, just mostly a lack of a welcoming experience. There was no porch light, a rotted wooden railing and a lack of curtains in any part of the main house. I know just a little extra attention to detail could turn this place into a winner, but our overall experience was a feeling of grodiness. No towels, rags out. We had to go to the filthy basement to search them out. Again, such a shame because it’s obvious that a lot of love was put into this place. The service they use should be replaced and a few more tasks completed by the owners and this place can turn itself into a ten. We wish our hosts the best of luck with their endeavor. We feel it only right to warn other guests of our bad experience. We hope this review can be followed with many good ones after they work out these kinks. First thing is fire the cleaning service. Our feet were black from walking thru the house.
