Dacha on Daylesford Lake

The Daylesford/Hepburn Springs region boasts many tourist attractions including mineral spas, massage, great restaurants, local produce, wineries and wonderful bush scenery and walking trails.
Dacha is the Russian word for holiday house. It is a place to retreat from the hustle and bustle of city life and rejuvenate your body and spirit. Dacha is also a place to reconnect with friends and family and share quality time with those you love.
Our Dacha is a one hundred and twenty year old house renovated to surpass it's former glory. Basically it was gutted and rebuilt, only keeping it's original rustic charm exterior. The house is perched on a hillside overlooking Daylesford Lake (approx. 100 metres from the lake's edge).
Local activities include restaurants/bars, fishing, hiking, swimming, canoeing, wineries, cycling, horse riding and outdoor activities.
The house is secluded, yet it is only a ten minute walk to the town centre.

When we entered the home it felt so cozy and welcoming and then we saw the view from the deck. Wow! I think we spent every minute we possibly could on the deck. The spa was wonderful, beds were comfy and everything was clean. Couldn't have wished for more.

Great location and great accommodation. Beautiful views, nice and cosy. Only disappointment was the hot tub wasn’t heating so had to heat with hose. The property manager however responded quickly and provided a solution.

Weekend at the Dacha

We booked the Dacha for a family weekend: my wife and I, our two sons and their partners and our grandson. The property was immaculate, in a beautiful spot, directly overlooking the lake and an easy walk to restaurants and bars. The owners had it decked out well and everything we needed was on hand. Plus we received detailed instructions of where everything was and how everything worked. It was a care-free stay for us and I thoroughly recommend the dacha. You'll leaving feeling very happy and relaxed.

Amazing property in an amazing location

This home was amazing. Very well presented and looked great. The house looked great - v stylish (esp the artwork and photography). Location is perfect: looking right over the lake. All my family and friends loved it - esp the killer view. Located within walking distance to the main street meant that the car didn’t need to be used. Great heating. Kitchen very well appointed. Absolutely loved it.

A gorgeous spot for relaxation

On arrival (it was dark so could not see anything other that the lovey gates and garden but the house was lit inside and out for a safe arrival). Beuatiful warm and cosy. everything that you need is there and the 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms were so well appointed and lovely to stay in. We had such a beautiful and relaxed stay we didn't want to leave. Close walk to Vincent street also and the VIEW. Wow. What a gorgeous suprise for us when we woke up and could see the lake and the garden full of birch trees. Highly recommeneded. Thank you Valek.
