Kokomo LTB - quiet lake/ beach retreat

Kokomo is an older renovated beach house with a very welcoming feel. It is located on a quiet no through road very close to the lake.

Kokomo has ample off street parking with room for a boat which is ideal for those who are looking to enjoy the ample opportunities for fishing, boating and kayaking offered nearby.

It is an easy walk to both the lake and the beautiful 90 mile beach as well as the Water Wheel Tavern and local general store/ take away.

Accommodation

Kokomo has 3 bedrooms, (one with an ensuite) 2 with queen beds, and a bunk room with 4 bunks. With 2 living areas, 2 dining areas and 2 bathrooms it easily accommodates 8 people.

Kokomo has 3 deck areas 2 of which overlook the lake with glimpses of the ocean. The 3rd larger deck area is very quiet and secluded and has a BBQ and outdoor setting. Located on the southern side of the house it captures afternoon sea breezes and is out of the direct sun, making it perfect for relaxing on those hot summer days and nights.
There are plenty of areas to find a quiet place to rest, read and relax.

Drive to

Lake Tyers is a short drive to Lakes Entrance with its many shops, restaurants and tourist attractions.
Other attractions for a "day out" within easy driving distance of Lake Tyers are Buchan Caves, Nowa Nowa, the Snowy River, Metung and local wineries and art galleries.

Presented well and in a great location to the Water Wheel Tavern, best launching ramp and two boats can be parked on the nature strip.

Fishing trip 2021 at kokomo

We had a amazing time on our fishing trip and the Kokomo really made us feel like at home! Such a beautiful home in a beautiful location and the fishing was fantastic. Can’t wait to do it all again next year !

The home is very cosy and family friendly. The back garden is huge so no problem if you need to bring an outdoor pet. Upon entry there are three generous sized bedroms, large kitchen and lounge area. i particularly enjoyed the convenience of having a washing machine and a dryer, so i didnt have to go and have 5 suitcases of dirty clothing haha. Upstairs was a large lounge with a fab venue of tv stations (stan, youtube etc) for those relaxed nights in. There was also a huge table so at night we could sit as a famiy and eat. The hosts were lovely, coming to replace a kettle that had broken, very friendly and couldnt do enough.All close 10 min in to town with that home family feeling. Just a really nice place.The beach is amazing, gorgeous, and we saw a seal performing for us in the ocean. It was really nice and welcoming and i will definitely be coming back. Thanks Leonie and Jim.

A pretty amazing location

Kokomo was the perfect place for a relaxed family holiday. The house gives you a wonderful feeling of space, with water, bush and sky views all around - from the balcony, deck and garden. It's comfy, and had everything we needed. It has a really nice lived-in feeling too. The landscapes around are quite stunning, and the walk along the beach - between lake and ocean - is unforgettable, with shifting light and clouds. We saw heaps of fur seals at the lakes entrance. Whip and wattle birds in the garden, wanted to take them home! Our teenage son commandeered the upstairs with its 360 views, but we didn't feel short-changed. Such a getaway and very relaxed for the dog too, a secure yard and so many things to explore :) Friendly hosts, very happy with our stay. I pre-ordered a Woolies delivery the day before we travelled so all our shopping came with no hassle on arrival day (no groceries available in Lake Tyer). Good food and views at the Tavern though. Two living areas, two good TVs, and Wifi meant we could all do our own thing. Great break!!

A wintery stay, cosy by the fire upstairs enjoying the spectacular views across the lake and ocean. We were able to cook in the kitchen and found everything we needed to be comfortable.
