Creek Lodge - LaGrange's Best Kept Secret

Great Location!!... 1.5 miles from center of downtown Lagrange, 1 mile from Walmart, less than a mile to boat ramp at Yellow Jacket Creek; close to Great Wolf. Easy access to I-85. Beautiful setting on a secluded 18 acres with private lake. Great location for family reunions, fisherman, traveling sports Teams, church/business retreats, small out door wedding or just a family vacation. Creek Lodge sits on a gated 18 acres of secluded wooded area that is truly a hidden gem located near downtown LaGrange. The home includes handmade farmhouse furniture with two private decks and a front and back patio that overlooks a private lake.
A queen bed and two queen bunk beds make up a private suite that includes a separate kitchenette with it's own bathroom and stand up shower. Cable, RoKu and WiFi available.
Travel down a graveled driveway to access the home. Outdoor living is a must with lots of great patio and deck space, which includes a 900 sq.ft. deck nestled in the woods overlooking a private lake. In addition to lodging for up to 16 guests, a downstairs Event Room is available for gatherings and includes a commercial grade charcoal/wood smoker with tables and chairs. Special Note: Events will require pre-approval, special pricing and may require additional event insurance. We are happy to discuss details to determine if our property will meet your event needs.

Family in town for a wedding.

Property was perfect for our family gathering for our son's wedding. We had ample space for everyone, and everyone enjoyed the opportunity to gather and hang out to make some great memories!

A place to relax

A perfect spot for a small family reunion. Plenty of room both in the house and outside. The fire pit was enjoyed by all. Very quiet and peaceful. Hard to believe it is only minutes from shops and restaurants.

Pleasantly peaceful

A Nice home, tucked away in a little Oasis all to itself. We didn't know what to expect from the location. We thought we would be located further outside of town. However, I must say it was definitely like staying in the country but not too far from the shopping areas. It is very roomy and well stocked with supplies. The living space was clean and beds were comfortable. Our stay was very peaceful. I would recommend to others!

Great getaway in LaGrange

We stayed here over New Years with 3 other families. The owners were super nice and check in was easy and informative. The layout of the house was a little bit tricky for all of us, especially the room with 2 side by side queens and no close bathroom but we made it work. Cute house, tons of outside space. The kids loved exploring the woods and around the lake. Unfortunately the bridges were rotted and dangerous and there was a lot of trash out there. I think the owners are in the process of fixing it up though and once it's cleaned up a bit the outside area will be great to explore! The breaker for the oven tripped when we were there and couldn't be fixed but the owners were quick to respond. It was New Years Eve so we understood that it wouldn't be fixed that day. Overall, a great little getaway with friends.

Relaxing

The ambiance is warm, the dining room table is the central space, which was large!, My only wish is that the kitchen be better equipped for cooking meals. When we do our family weekends we do lots of cooking and I found the cookware inadequate. Otherwise we enjoyed walks in the woods and ending the day around a lovely campfire.

Relaxing Getaway

Our family of 8 adults and 5 kids just spent 4 nights recently at Creek Lodge.. The place is very beautiful, well organized and clean. The place is very close to Walmart and other shops, but the privacy offered by this place is outstanding. Kay and Marlon are amazing hosts and always available. I liked the layout of the bedrooms. One room is like an efficiency studio apartment complete with dining table, stove, and refrigerator. There is also a small deck off the room. The queen bunk beds were a big hit. My family really enjoyed the deck off the kitchen. The location and privacy can’t be beat. Once again thanks Kay and Marlon.

Family Fun!

Kay and Marion were so helpful and accommodating! We enjoyed our family Christmas celebration here with 6 adults and 9 children under the age of 8! The outdoor space is phenomenal; we used the fire pit, explored the land, and played in the long driveway and yard. The kitchen was well stocked and there were enough spacious bedrooms and bathrooms for all of us. Hoping to stay here again when we’re all back in our hometown, LaGrange for another family gathering. Thank you!

Weekend getaway

The hosts were very helpful. The property was quiet and secluded although just a short drive to city life. The house was clean and homey. We were busy all weekend, so we didn’t get to enjoy the fire pit or grill. We had a good time being altogether in one place.

Such a great option for a group of 9 ladies. Much better than separate hotel rooms. Clean, spacious and centrally located. The owners/ managers were more than accommodating and very easy to get in touch with. We look forward to staying here again next year.

6 adults, 9 kids, great experience

This property was exactly as advertised. There was plenty of bed space for all 15 of us and loads of towels and linens. Three full baths and a half bath more than met all those needs. The five girls were thrilled to room in the separate suite with their own microwave and refrigerator, convenient for early breakfast or a late night snack. Thee three decks and under deck patio provided plenty of supplemental seating space for meals and games. One concern is there is no laundry on property. Please plan accordingly. There were plenty of indoor games for the kids plus a huge connect four, giant Jenga, and Corn Hole for outdoors. There was also plenty of space to run and play; and the basement worked great for various activities during the on and off rain. I think the biggest hit was the private lake and the fire pit. We spent several evenings with the kids and many adults fishing (catch and release) and we all enjoyed the fire pit for cookouts and for roasting marshmallows and s'mores. There is also a great set up over looking the lake for hosting special occasions or a small outdoor wedding. Marlon was very responsive to any questions or concerns, and did a great job showing us around the property on arrival. We would rent again and would recommend it for your family and friends.

Home Away From Home

This lodge was just what our team needed for our leadership retreat. There were plenty of amenities that made this place feel like our home away from home. Nine adults stayed at the lodge and there was plenty of room for everyone. The two kitchens makes it extremely convenient to cook for large groups , the beds are spacious and comfortable, and the outdoor space was marvelous. Can’t wait to come back!

Family Time

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Creek Lodge. We had 15 family members gather and visit for the weekend. Indoor and outdoor games were provided. There was plenty of room for all. The property was well maintained and we had a great time exploring the property. The young adults had plenty of room to gather and hang out. Our only concern before arriving was that there wasn’t a washer or dryer on site. Much to our surprise, there were plenty of towels and washcloths for 15 people for the four days we there. There was no need to wash clothes during our stay. Thank you for a great weekend.

Family Vacation

A beautiful secluded home with a rustic feel, a pond for fishing, a campfire area and perfect accommodations for our 12. The owners greeted us and walked us through the property. Decor was attractive and comfortable. Far exceeded our expectations! Thank you Kay and Marlon.

Beautiful and perfect for our wedding!

We decided to get married and plan it in 3 weeks. We came across this listing because it looked like it was nice and had plenty of space. It was even better than expected. The property owners have created a beautiful space to relax and get away. The new deck with benches was perfect for our wedding and more beautiful than we imagined. We had such a great time! Our best friends even suggested coming back next year for our anniversary. Thank you to the Stargills for making such an amazing place.

However, over time a vision emerged to create a space to share with others which has evolved into a family business. They enjoy offering the space for a variety of different groups and families and continue to develop the property adding new components and renovating existing structures.

Why they chose this property

Creek Lodge is unique for its in-town location and peaceful country atmosphere. In addition to lodging, it offers a gathering room for group meetings and events. It also provides a spacious 900 sq.ft deck in the woods .... a perfect small wedding venue (separately priced for weddings/events) in which lodging for the wedding party can be included. Also great for just lodging for families, wedding parties or small groups. The private lake allows for catch & release fishing from the bank in a relaxed environment. It is truly a hidden treasure in LaGrange.

What makes this property unique

There are many wedding venues in the area and Creek Lodge offers a great place to house a wedding party overnight or out of town family. Sports teams or small groups will find it to be a homey and comfortable place with plenty of outside space. A great alternative to a traditional hotel.
