3mins from Coogee Pavilion and Coogee resort featuring an abundance of gourmet restaurants and cafes

From Coogee Beach, buses depart to Circular Quay, Sydney Opera House, the Rocks, Airport and downtown city, Bondi junction, University of New South Wales, Prince of Wales Hospital, Newtown.

Coogee beach is ideal for swimmers, surfers and sunbathers. It is surrounded by grass picnic and barbeque areas. You may be lucky to spot migrating whales or a pod of dolphins in the ocean. Also is a perfect playground for children with a special children’s pool.

Minutes away are iconic Wylies Baths, great for both lap swimming and water play. They have café and showers and run a variety of classes (yoga, pilates, tai chi) on a deck with breathtaking ocean views. Nearby is the Ladies pool with showers, toilets and facilities.

The house is also a brief scenic walk to the cliffs of Clovelly and a short stroll to city buses, shops, restaurants, cafes and Coogee's thriving village culture.

The house is very quiet, yet in the middle of Coogee resort.

Coogee weekend break

Highly recommend staying at this property. Central to everything, city, beaches, markets and restaurants. Despite the rain, we had a great time. The property has old world charm and has everything you need. Especially if you are bringing your furry friend!

Sophie's place is idyllic

Sophie's home is idyllic and has soul. With its own quiet, beautiful gardens, but 20 meters to the park. This is the best-located house you will find in the area. Bakeries, restaurants, bars, ice creams, the beach, the park. All on your doorstep, and yet at home this is peaceful and away from the noise.

Charming "home away from home" at the beach

I needed short term emergency accommodation and found Sophie's Coogee to be clean, comfortable and convenient. It's only a couple of blocks from Coogee Beach and the local restaurant district but it is a quiet and relaxing place to retreat to. The rooms are spacious with high ceilings, the style is "homely" and family oriented. There is a safe backyard, parking (a rare commodity in Coogee) and a park nearby. I found the bedroom dark and comfortable, just the way I like it - I could get a good night's sleep. The kitchen and lounge area had everything I wanted. There was a problem with TV reception when I visited - but the owner has provided a diverse range of great books and a sound system. Everything was clean and neat, including rooms, kitchen and shower - as well as the outside BBQ / BBQ table area. I went there seeking emergency accommodation, I plan to come back for a holiday visit.

Great location, NEEDS attention!

We were the first guests at this house. Great location with only a short walk to beach, cafes and restaurants. BUT! Desperately needs cooking utensils, oven dishes, Fry pans, and a microwave. We couldn't cook a decent meal and ate out most the time because of this (it starts to cost quite a lot for 6 people) The bbq was rusted so we couldn't use that either. The shower needs a soap holder as there is nowhere to put your soap when having a shower. There is only one couch and it seats Three people which makes it hard for 6 guests to watch a movie at night, which there is no TV either. Sophie was a wonderful person to deal with and I hope she gets these basic things sorted, then the place will be brilliant. Until then I would not recommend staying here with kids unless you're happy to eat out all the time and don't need any television.

We welcome children of all ages, including infants providing they are listed as full feepaying guests.

The house is in a peaceful area and we have lovely neighbors who we would like to stay happy and friendly. So please be considerate.

The key set includes keys for: entrance door, entrance screen door, rear door, rear screen door, laundry door, side gate.

Please do not move the furniture and do not take inside furniture outside.

Please switch off air-conditioning and electrical appliances upon your departure.

Please do not bring additional guests and pets without prior agreement.

On the morning of your departure:
Please take out all rubbish and place in the bins outside.
Please hang up all used towels & tea-towels; leave unused towels folded.
Please leave bed linen on beds.
Please put away all dishes and cooking utensils.
Please close all windows and doors.
If your stay includes Tuesday night, please place rubbish and recycling bins on the nature strip.
