Casa Sangiovese home with private pool on vineyard


6 bedroom 5 bathroom home on a vineyard with large private pool in the vineyards.

Casa Sangiovese (tuscan grape variety)
We cater for just 2 or larger groups of up to 12. We have 6 bedrooms, 3 that have queen beds and 3 bedrooms that have kings that can be split into singles if needed.
Large 10 meter private pool with outdoor deck and lounge BBQ area outdoor table.

Reverse cycle airconditiong in both loungerooms to keep you warm in winter and cool in summer.
Main lounge area has wood fire. Wood provided May till September.

KITCHEN
Kitchen is equipped with oven, cooktop, microwave, dishwasher and fridge. Nespresso coffee maker. Cutlery, pots, pans, plates and glasses are also provided.

LINEN
All linen is included in the cleaning cost, and comes with all beds made and fresh Sheets towels and pillowcases. Spare blankets and doonas are in the cupboards.

OUTDOOR BBQ AREA
Large undercover deck in pool area has a gas bbq. (gas supplied) Outdoor lounge and tables and chairs.

FREE WIFI
Free NBN wifi . Password is the Wylankey on back of the modem.

WOODFIRE
We have a logfire to keep you warm in Winter and supply wood from May till late September.



PARKING
Plenty of onsite parking is available at the home. If you are planning on doing a wine tour and getting picked up before checkin. Please arrange with us where cars can be left on property in advance.

WEDDINGS
Whilst we do allow for weddings on the property. Please dont enquire through this site as it is for accommodation only. Weddings at La Vigna Estate can be found on other platforms.

PARTIES
PLEASE no Bucks or large boys groups. No bands or speakers. We have other homes on the property. If you are coming up to party please look elsewhere.

Plenty of room to stroll through the vineyards before you enjoy some of the local cellar doors.

Set on a large acreage this home can be used with the 2 others on the property for large groups. Or used individually as all homes are private with there own pool.

1 NIGHT STAYS/ ONLINE BOOKINGS

While most holiday homes dont offer 1 night stays we try to accommodate these request Due to cleaning a whole house and setup costs. Please dont book a 1 night weekend without first sending an enquiry as to the 1 night price. We also do accept 1 night stays on the weekend but as the majority of our revenue is based on a 2 night weekend rate nearly the full weekend rate will be charged. As if you decide to book the Saturday it would be highly unlikely we would be able to book a friday or vice versa.

WEEKENDS
As most of our income is from the standard Friday Saturday night weekends. please note if you split a weekend eg Thursday Friday or Saturday Sunday a full weekend rate could apply. This would be more than the advertised rates that you see on the calander for your 2 days.

Areas to improve

property was great. We were missing Pepper/salt/baking trays/oven slow to heat up/hotplat slow to beat up/tea/no vegentable peeler. We noticed a huge difference to house we had rented in Port macaquarie two months before. Could fix it all up realtively easily with a stocktake.

Great base to explore Hunter

Positives: Great house as a base to explore Hunter Valley, close to everything. Beds very comfortable, bathrooms modern and clean. Pool looked great (to cold for us so didnt hop in). Combustion fireplace was lovely. Communication and service was faultless. Lots of glassware/plates etcNegatives; missing some basics in the kitchen - paper towel, no large bowls, platters/large plates and some utensils if you want to cook. Hot plates took quite while to heat up, and frypans were warped. No games/cards/magazines or instructions for the house/recommendations for the area. The lounge's aren't big enough for the amount of people that can stay. And it would be better if there was a few chairs or small outdoor setting on the verandah (there is one by the pool, so you can sit outside undercover, and enjoy the surroundings.We did have an issue with odour from a dead mouse (in floor cavity) in main living space, but they did everything they could to get rid of the smell.Definitely a house to use as a base to explore not really one to stay in and relax (which is more what we wanted to do) - maybe in summer when its warmer you could hang around the pool.

Great location and stay!

Great spacious property! Group of friends stayed a few nights for a wedding in the Hunter and everyone essentially had their own bathroom. The two living spaces were great too and the pool. The only thing is there were a few spiders around the house that could be cleaned up and didn’t end up using the BBQ as it was dirty. Overall happy with our stay and great communication from the hosts. Thank you.

Great place to stay with a group

Michael was a great host who talked us through a little hiccup on arrival and made it the most memorable holiday to the HV. He was very accommodating and could be reached on the phone when needed. The property was great offering a great location for kids and adults alike. We would definitely recommend La Vigna to any group of family and friends who want the Hunter Valley experience.

Fantastic Accommodation & Location

This was the ideal family getaway for us. The wood fire place in the lounge/ kitchen was a great hit, thanks Micah for the firewood!. Beds were comfy. The 5 bathrooms meant all families had one which was really helpful. It was located 10 km from the Gardens and close to all wineries on a quiet property with Kangaroo visitors close by. Everyone said how much they enjoyed the stay. The proprietor, Micah, was very helpful and easy to approach, Thank you again for having us at Casa Sangiovese

The house is very big and fairly well equipped. There are plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms and all comfortable and clean. Explanation notes for the tv etc would have been useful.

Clean, neat and tidy. Large open plan entertainment area. Fire place was roaring all weekend. Balcony great for soaking up the afternoon sun. We were a party of 6 couples, brilliant that most got their own bathroom, only two of us had to share. Kitchen was great, had lots of welcome goodies, and the pantry was well stocked with staples. Great location would highly recommend. Host was easy to communicate with and helpful.

Property is in a great spot, close to some nice restaurants and wineries. The pool is beautiful (a little bit chilly for May) but the fireplace was warm and toasty.
