Walter is the friendliest host one could ask for. Very clean place. Water pressure is super nice. He responds quickly when messaged. Beautiful location and two floor home. I highly recommend it.
Bed was comfortable and shower had awesome water pressure. Unit is showing age and could use some freshening up, interior paint, exterior wood repair to steps and railings. The stair climb to enter property could be to much for some. Very close to all the popular sites and easy to navigate. Tropical storm came through and limited travel into the Park but we did get to see why they are called the great smokey mountains. It would have been nice to have recieved checkout info the night before checkout rather then having to ask for it the day of and get after we had left the property.
Comfortable clean accommodations. Helpful owner great communication. Parking for multiple cars that are not small is less than optimal. Had multiple bear sightings, including on our cars. We would stay here again.
We loved seeing bears. Almost every bear we saw about 10 was morning or evening on the same mountain as the cabin. We saw zero in the national park over 6 days. This is the place to stay if you want to see bears!
Property was listed as it was, clean, comfortable bed down stairs, not sure how the beds was upstairs as we did not sleep up there. Shower was great had plenty of water pressure and hot water, did not see any bears at the cabin but did see some in the neighborhood. They do come to the cabin, neighbors saw him there and he left evidence that he was there, mud smudged on the door
This home was fantastic. It’s quiet, incredibly secure, and very easy to get to. The location is perfect—close enough to town for quick trips, yet far enough away to feel peaceful and private. The property was spotless and well-equipped. We will definitely be back! Appreciate Walter's hospitality. Highly recommended!
Everything was as described. Close to everything and very well equipped. Communication was impeccable. Had a few questions and were answered immediately. Would highly reccomend this host. Hope to return again.
The place was clean, communication was good, and the host was responsive. The upstairs bedrooms were spacious, and we appreciated having a high chair. The location right on Ober Mountain was great, but as visitors unfamiliar with the area, we had no idea how scary the driveway/parking pad would be. It was genuinely terrifying, and I can’t imagine navigating it during ski season! This should absolutely be disclosed in the listing. The doorway wasn’t sealed properly, allowing bugs inside. On our last day, we found a 4-inch centipede on the upstairs wall. The pullout couch was small and extremely uncomfortable, with no support and nowhere to relax after a long day with two little kids. The kitchen had only TWO forks! Mealtimes with two kids under two are challenging enough without a shortage of basic utensils. The cleaning service should be checking these essentials. Some food storage containers would have been nice, too. The master bathroom also needs a towel holder. The price was low, and now I understand why. There were positives, but better maintenance, basic supplies, and transparency about the parking situation would make a big difference.
Clean home, easy check-in, good location and responsive host. I recommend the property to families, we enjoyed the pool table and gamin console, was warned about bears and got to see a few curious guys. Were had a great stay!
