Home away from home

Nice comfy place to stay. Easy to find our way around. Outside looked different to the photos but with water restrictions and drought totally understandable. Overall, we were extremely happy with our stay. Won't hesitate to book there again.

Was a nice place to stay. Small but comfortable. The only thing I can complain about is when we stay there we couldn't connect to WiFi. But other then that was I nice place to stay

Basic needs

This basic Condon house with two queen bedrooms and one twin bedroom has a few maintenance issues that needs attention. Grass was long however it had been raining, house needs a very good spring clean all over. Cobwebs, dirty floors (felt gritty underfoot) inside the house. We had to clean the food encrusted utensils and crockery before using them plus the oven door was broken, unable to use it. Fan in one bedroom only usable on high (noisy) and blinds on front bedrooms didn’t block out streetlight. Two pillows stuffed inside two pillowslips (very lumpy), doonas weren’t cleaned and all the towels were very thin. Bedding hard to our liking. Beware of the width of the carport as it has narrow access but it has a remote control door. Location was handy for us to reach a family wedding but being on busy road it is noisy. Wifi was fast and shopping centres easily accessible.

The property Manager was easily contacted we had a few air con problems and unfortunately it was a heat wave.This was rectified immediately The location was superb for the family wedding

Comfy house

This property is close to shops and plenty of takeaway options. Short drive to town. House is comfy and has everything you would want including an enormous tv. Outside deck area caught the sun and was very useful. Would come again

Internet did not work with TV however, owner contacted and new TV had to be installed. Owner went above and beyond to fix the TV issue. Location is good. Close to Willows. Value for money.

Rudest owner I have dealt with. Stay away

We arrived at the property a little after 2.00pm to find the code we had been given for the key safe did not work. We could not find the property owners phone number in any correspondence so we called HomeAway and were put through to him. The owner gave us a new code and we were able to access the keys. Upon entering the property we realised that it had not been cleaned since the last guests had vacated. In shock we called HomeAway and were transferred to the property owner who did not answer. We left a message on his voice mail saying we would not be staying and that we wanted a refund for the nights accommodation. We then called HomeAway customer service team and told them that we would not be staying as the property was not clean and that we wanted a refund to which we were told that we would need to liaise with the owner. At 2:45pm we left the property and began the drive to Cairns. At 4:00pm I received a call from the property owner asking if we were still there and if the cleaners had been yet? I replied that I didn’t know as were already on the road and that we would like our money refunded. At this point he told me that he would not be refunding our money as check in was at 3:00pm and the property would have been cleaned by then and we should have told home if we wanted an earlier check in. I told home there was no way the property could have been cleaned in 15 minutes by 3:00pm and if check in was 3:00pm maybe he should have told me this before giving me the access code. He showed no interest in finding a solution or reaching a compromise and not only did he bellow and scream at me he then hung up on me. He is still refusing to give us a refund and in my opinion should be banned from having listings on this or any platform.
