Bower's Hideout - The Central West NSW

The Bower’s Hideout is freestanding studio style building at the rear of my property in Kandos. I have just totally renovated it so it is clean, fresh and ready for rentals. This listing suits one or two people only so ideal for couples or solo travelers.

Kandos is one of those ‘Where is Kandos?’ type of towns yet is located close to a lot of attractions in the Central West and Mudgee region. Situated just to the west of the Wollemi National Park and not far from Mudgee to the east it is a great place to base yourself for day drives in the area. Check out the historic twin towns of Rylstone/Kandos, take a drive north through panoramic vistas along the Bylong Valley, explore the wine trails in the Mudgee region or head out to Gunguddy Reserve (not as affectionately known also as Dunn’s Swamp) which despite its name is a very pleasant canoeing and bushwalking area. Being a fairly artistic community there are also regular events through out the year such as outdoor cinema, music festivals, writers festivals, historic days and much more.

The Bower’s Hideout is marketed towards singles or couples who want a short break and escape the city. and is an easy drive from the Sydney (3 hours) and the near by major rural cities or Bathurst ( 1 hour), Orange (1.5 hours) and Mudgee. (50 mins)

The Bower, Kandos

This is a neat and cosy small space, very comfortable and interestingly decorated. It's really good value for the price. The host was exceptionally helpful, and went out of his way to help us with a problem we had. Highly recommended.

This is a comfortable place to stay. It has one main room which contains a kitchen, a table with two chairs, a lounge and the bed. It is good value for the money. My review ratings try to be consistent and very rarely allocate a 5. Any that I give a 3 rating is good and am happy to stay there again.

Excellent! Everything you need!

My partner and I stayed here for 2 nights. It was great, the space is cosy and has everything you need for a short stay. An ensuite with a shower has recently been added to the hideout which is fantastic. Everything was clean and well maintained. Very convenient location if you are looking to explore the area (we walked around the town, drove to Dunns Swamp at the National Park and visited Rylestone. We would recommend this accommodation to other travellers. Thanks Shawn, it was good to meet you.
