Nice location with private beach near the ferry terminal. The location within the beachfront community is among the second row from the beach, with a small view of the ocean between sets of homes. Having all of the bedrooms on the lower of the two levels was unusual but not a bad thing except for the fact that every little noise upstairs from the early risers makes a racket for the late risers. The upstairs living area is spacious for everyone to hang out and we liked having plenty of surface areas and tables to eat and play puzzles, etc. The galley style kitchen was a bit cramped for multiple people to work in. My only serious complaint was some cleanliness issues in the en suite bathroom - there was a lot of mold along where the shower floor and door meet and it was slick to the touch around the floor edges, which made me think it hadn't been cleaned in quite some time. I didn't see the other bathrooms, but I didn't note any other cleanliness issues. Some other things that would make the jome more appealing: correct size coffee filters for the coffee maker; a blender; blinds for the bedroom windows instead of just sheer curtains (and vice versa for the master bedroom); games and toys for children; linens being included is always appreciated; perhaps a kayak or two for an even bigger bonus. All in all, we enjoyed our stay but some of the little things were lacking compared to other similar stays.
