This country studio is close to family-friendly activities, public transport, the beach, 7-11, hikes, Uncle Bobo's, waterfalls, and mountains.. You’ll love my place because of the people, the neighborhood, the tranquility, the stars, the sound of the ocean, the views of the mountains.. The studio is good for couples, small families, solo adventurers, and business travelers. If you want to get away from the busy city (Waikiki and Honolulu) than Kaaawa is the place for you.

This unit is one of two vacation rentals on the property. Also, the owners live on the property.

Comfortable and Clean

The studio looks just like the pictures. Very comfortable and clean. Nicely maintained landscaping, well equipped, outdoor shower to rinse off the beach sand. Friendly and helpful onsite host. Beautiful view of the Koolau mountains. We will definitely stay here again! Thank you Angelo and Micah. 🏝️

Relaxing spot with nice amenities

Really enjoyed our time on this part of the island. Very relaxing spot and just a 10 minute walk to the beach to watch the sunrise. Angelo communicated ahead of time everything we needed to know regarding check-in which made the process super easy. We also used the beach equipment provided which saved us from having to rent our own. Overall a great experience!

Ka'a'awa Paradise

Angelo's studio in Ka'a'awa was an absolutely the best location for our stay. Most of our time was spent on the east side and north shore with some forays into Honolulu, so being centrally located was great. Not to mention, there are some beautiful small beaches right across Kamehameha and Angelo provided everything you'll need for a beach trip! There's also all the necessities and comforts of home and you'll stay cool with the A/C. No doubt would stay here again.

Cosy and Modern Getaway

My daughter and I stayed here for three nights during our Oahu trip. The location was a nice little hour away from Honolulu and was set in a mountain valley with gorgeous views of the mountain tops each morning. We enjoyed the short walk or drive to little beach strips along the Kamehameha Hwy. There are beach chairs and accessories to use which were extremely helpful. You must take a shower in the outside shower with the views! Angelo and family were a pleasure to interact with and Angelo helped with any requests promptly and with great care. I would highly recommend for a romantic getaway for two. The apartment was as listed and was plenty of room for two.

Peaceful studio with view of mountains inland

We enjoyed our stay in March 2019. The studio is as it appears in the pictures and has everything you need, as well as access to an external gas barbecue grill. The studio faces mauka, that is, inland, yet is in walking distance of the beach. The mountains inland are ruggedly dramatic and rise almost straight up. The outdoor shower is a nice feature and the owners provide all the gear you may need for enjoying the many beaches of Oahu. We met Angelo only once and he was very welcoming. He told us about a trail that goes up a pocket valley inland from Ka'a'wa and gave us directions to the trail. Ka'a'wa is a small and quiet community that has one 7-11 and a barbecue restaurant. Just around the corner is Kahana bay, which has a very nice beach and surf that reminds us of Waikiki's. The surf there is popular with surfers using standup paddle boards equipped with hydrofoil wings. A river enters the bay and may be floated inland.

The first time we came to O'ahu, we stayed at a resort. This time we opted for a different experience. Angelo's studio apartment was perfect. It was clean, comfortable, and quiet. The pictures on VRBO are true and accurate. It had everything we needed. We borrowed a couple of chairs, an umbrella and a cooler and spent a day at the beach. The washer and dryer are conveniently located in a common breeze-way adjacent to the apartment. We rented a car from the airport and drove directly to the rental unit. It was easy to find and parking was right out front. We are from the desert, so we enjoyed the island breezes with the windows open. Angelo promptly responded to texts and was available for any questions. We would definitely recommend this rental. 😎

Greate place to stay

This was our second visit here on Oahu. Last year we spent our time in Honolulu but this place here is much better to enjoy the time on the island. The property is really comfortable, clean and has everything what you need in place. We had close rides to the North Shore, Honolulu, beaches and hikes. Overall we really enjoyed our stay at this property. We were part of a yoga retreat at a nearby retreat center and this was incredibly convenient. Property was lovely, close to the beach, with its own friendly set of chickens! Everything was clean and serviceable. A reminder to folks who have not visited Hawaii before that most places use the island breeze instead of a/c.

Relaxing & tucked away

I didn’t rent a car for this trip for my friends daughters wedding at Kualoa Ranch & her home is a little over a mile from here, so it worked out perfectly for me. It’s located nearly midway from North Shore & Honolulu, so either direction you travel is great. My first impression was that the pictures & descriptions of the property were dead on but the pictures don’t do justice to also how beautiful the scenery is right out the front door. Angelo was very accommodating and easy to contact. I did have the pleasure of meeting him. Yes, you are somewhat a ways from stores & such so you do need to bring groceries, snacks, coffee & such but everything else you could need is here. I brought Ziplock baggies to keep things in that I didn’t want the humidity to claim. It’s very quiet, calm & relaxing - I looked forward to coming back in the evenings. Loved it here! Aloha!

Cozy studio was perfect for us!

Angelo really took care of us. This was our dream vacation & on our 2nd day I broke my leg & had to have surgery later. He went above and beyond to make sure we had the best stay we could in spite of my circumstances. I would highly recommend this adorable studio for any couple visiting Hawaii. My husband and I were in town for a family gathering and this was a perfect location for us. Close to the beach and beautiful mountains behind you. Clean Studio with Local Vibe

Angelo keeps a very clean apartment. It was as pictured upon our arrival. He was quick to respond to any questions prior to arrival, but we did not actually meet during our stay. The kitchen seems well appointed, but we did not cook. There are no extra amenities (BYO hair dryer, beach towels, soaps, etc.). There is some noise bleed from the larger attached unit (through open windows) and from chickens roaming the neighborhood. This area of the island has very limited tourist attractions and restaurants, but it's a good choice if the local vibe is what you're after.

Great space

My wife and I were very happy staying in this home. Everything was neat and clean and Angelo made checking in and out a breeze. The kitchen had exactly what we needed, and there is a million dollar view of the mountains from the front door. There is also a wonderful outdoor shower for use coming home from the beach. I even enjoyed "talking" with the chickens in the morning. Mahalo!

Beautiful, relaxing, clean space

My husband and I stayed at this house for a week. It was decorated super cute and the space was so accomodating. The kitchen had everything we needed. We loved watching tv and drinking coffee in the morning while never leaving our comfy bed. Gorgeous bathroom and shower and the neighborhood was nice and quiet with a great view of the mountains.
