Had a quick pit stop at the castle hacket. Joyce was very helpful and Aiden had great tips for our upcoming stops. Breakfast was hot and timely. Overall a fun unique experience!
Very unique property. Lots of common area within the castle to relax. Wonderful/friendly owner. Recently opened so still some renovations/maintenance going on but did not impact our stay. We loved it

The last picture on the posting is labeled exterior so we thought that we were staying somewhere in a smaller building on that castles property. False advertising. It should have said "Property Nearby"
My wife and I had an incredible stay. Joyce made us feel at home. The whole place had a very regal feel and the views were amazing. The icing on the cake was the amazing breakfast and all the tavel advice we received. Thanks so much!
Just a wonderful experience all around. The host, Joyce, was friendly, accommodating, and made us feel very welcome. The chateau was outstanding. The grounds we beautiful with sheep grazing just outside our window. Perfect time spent in the countryside.
Beautiful manor tastefully decorated. Our welcome was flat, almost unwelcoming. We learned the King’s room we booked and paid for had been given to someone else and she blamed the booking calendar after confusion at being given a key to the wrong “other” room and sitting in the hallway with our luggage trying to contact her made me downright angry. A simple apology and explanation to begin with would have smoothed things over but sent upstairs at a locked door with a key that didn’t open our door is unacceptable. I was ready to find other accommodations in the rain. When she finally explained the calendar’s error, we found the other room comfortable but it was not what we paid for. We first had to wedge cardboard into noisy banging windows to sleep at all. The next morning, Aiden at breakfast made all concerns go away. His effusive conversation and helpful suggestions about our Connemara trip were appreciated and the destinations were beautiful,- the reason for four stars above. The incident with his partner wasn’t mentioned and everything kept pleasant at breakfast which was delicious. My overall feeling is we were bumped for a longer-staying couple which could be wrong but we’ve never experienced an online booking calendar problem in all our travels. If you book here, and it is beautiful, be sure to confirm several times before your arrival. They’re not big on communication.
