This was a very nice, quiet property, with a beautiful view. I like how close it was to about 6 walkable wineries. Carla was very helpful, communicative, and reachable if needed. We look forward to a stay next year.

A nightmare stay. A rude and obnoxious host. I don’t think the host is mentally stable. Was told I was not allowed to run the AC in 35 degrees Celsius and found dead mice and mice poop in the kitchen. The unit amenities were old and dated. When the issues where brought up with the host she called me obscenities. When I left the unit during the day, the host entered the residence without any prior approval and turned off the AC unit and snooped through the unit. The experience was so terrible and misleading that VRBO REFUNDED my entire stay. Beware and do not book with this host, if you can even call them that.

Firstly, kindly read a recent review made by guests who stayed there THE SAME TIME FRAME he did. This is a ‘first ‘ for me as a VRBO host to need to respond to this scandalous diatribe.I have owned & hosted for 22 years….It was to have been a 2- week stay ( booked last minute)I would have hoped that anyone paying for a holiday of this length would be cognizant enough to read ‘fine details’ respective on a listing(maybe 10 minutes to read over….)This very troubled ‘gentleman’was rude to me( I did express that to him later) at the initial introduction with very apparent underlying anger & frustration.HIS issues:1.It was a common/ shared kitchen….2.Pet friendly ( no $ up charge here!)BUT,4- legged family members are not to be left in suite unattended.( he had 2 large dogs with him). These 2 items stated ( more than once!) on my listing at VRBO; had HE take the time to read them….I asked that the A/C be turned off WHEN THEY GO OUT for the day.He presented outright animosity at this eco- friendly request.Mice; well…..we are on 11 wild natural habitat stewardship acres. The trap( checked daily) was under the SHARED kitchen sink; a room completely sealed off from their enclosed unit.We advertise as “Rustic Elegance in a high desert setting”.- expect coyotes howling, owls hooting, & yes, mice.Of course,I entered the suite in MY guest house,on MY PROPERTY to shut off A/C,every light that had been left on,opening/closing windows as weather indicates.
