Getting Around:
While we are off a paved road, many roads in the high desert are dirt, so please take it slow. While a car is required to get around, a four wheel drive car is not, but note that roads will often have ruts, particularly after a rain.

◎ EVENTS & COMMERCIAL PHOTOSHOOTS: Are not permitted without prior approval, applicable permit and additional fees.
◎ DOGS: Your dog is welcome and there is a one time fee of $100. Please alert us in advance. Max of 2 dogs. No other types of animals are authorized.
◎ SOCIAL MEDIA: If you plan on sharing your experience on social media, please mention us!
◎ CELL SERVICE: Cell phone service availability and quality in the high desert varies by service provider. This is particularly true in the more remote areas of Joshua Tree, Pipes Canyon, and Pioneertown. Please be prepared by enabling wifi calling or downloading a VOIP program.

Location of this property is ideal. Very remote “feeling” but a short drive to town. Really enjoyed exploring the backyard, and Pioneertown Mountain Reserve is a great hiking spot 10 mins away.
The place is amazing...an experience worth the price. Whether by walking the area or catching sight of wildlife in the telescope, there was always something interesting and engaging to do.

Everything was perfect. The property looks exactly like the pictures in the listing, and there is so much to explore. We didn't even come close to seeing it all, so we'll have to be back.
The hot tub was a balmy 104 the moment we arrived, and a quick dip to loosen up after a long day of travelling was just what we needed.
We wanted a last minute getaway from LA and were so lucky to find this rental. The house is situated in a great spot, with beautiful views, is super quiet and away from others. Even so, it was convenient to get to the park, restaurants and the stores. Very well set up for a couple (or 2). Loved sitting with coffee in the Adirondack chairs and then going for a soak and watching the stars at night. The hosts were quick to respond to any question and recommended an amazing massage therapist. (Erin). Our dog enjoyed herself too!

Lovely But be advised of rolling blackouts in the area
Our stay was my gift to friends for a special birthday. We had planned a weekend get away to cook and relax at the house in this special location and take in the desert beauty, However, we had to leave the house from Saturday afternoon thru Sunday morning as the power was out for 12hours. So no dinner at the house Saturday night and no showers after hiking. This cut our festivities short and interrupted our trip. Apparently, when I enquired with the manager they suggested this happens and there was no consolations offered and the manual suggested this happens in the area so be advised. We have rented many houses in the area over the past 10years and never had this issue.

As noted in our house rules, the High Desert occasionally experiences power outages due to its rural location. These are outside of our control and caused by Southern California Edison. While we understand how frustrating this can be, we do not provide refunds or discounts for unplanned outages.
We do make every effort to communicate planned outages in advance and, when requested, will try to accommodate guests elsewhere if such an outage is expected to last more than four hours. In this case, we were not made aware of any relocation request during your stay.
As a gesture of goodwill, we did offer you a discount for a future stay, although we understand this may not have met your expectations. We do appreciate you choosing to stay with us and hope you’ll consider giving us another chance in the future.
We were in dire need of a Covid getaway and this was the perfect place!
The house was as described and had all the necessities that a family with kids would need, just bring food and drinks! Perfect location, amazing views, and great amenities. Perfect unexpected find!
