Great central location for exploring the area

Having often passed through the area on our way to or from holiday locations further south we decided to spend a couple of days looking around. The gîte was perfect for that, centrally located in Autun, well equipped and very efficient and friendly communication from Chantal and her son.

Great stay in a beautiful roman village

The clean apartment has everything you need. Situated in the historic centre with a garage is very special. A good place to explore the surroundings of Autun. Thank you Chantal and Thomas for letting us stay in the apartment.

A wonderful stay

A very warm welcome from my host and her son, Thomas. The accommodation was very clean, warm and comfortable with lovely view up to the cathedral from the bathroom. It is charming and very handy for exploring and enjoying Autun which is a beautiful town. I enjoyed my stay very much, and I appreciated Thomas giving me a lift back to the station to catch a bus on the last day.

Great stay in Autun

Great location and the garage was especially helpful. The apartment was well equipped with everything we needed for our 6 day stay. Madame Chantal and her son Thomas (who was there to help with translation) were welcoming and helpful. Would definitely recommend.

Great stay in Autun

Big unit with all conveniences. Very close to all attractions in the old city and also trails on the outskirts. Hostess was great, met at the entrance of the parking, lots of good recommendations. Highly recommended. Didn’t do a winery tour but VRBO is requiring me to comment on one. If it affects the rating it shouldn’t. This was top notch.

Restful oasis

We had a lovely time! We were on a quiet street in the middle of the historic district. There wasn’t a sound to be heard in the evening. The gite/apartment was well equipped, updated but kept its old world charm. A word of caution about the internet It’s slow at best and frequently we couldn’t load websites.

We have the most fantastic week at Chantal's. The apartment is beautifully decorated and scrupulously clean. Chantal is so charming, quite a lovely person and due to our poor French was assisted by her very nice son Thomas. Autun is a great place to visit and the position of the apartment is perfect, in the historical centre. We are already looking forward to coming back next year. Thank you so much Chantal. A Welcoming Property

We were met, as planned, by the owner & her son, who was most helpful as our French is not what it should be! A good-sized garage with automatic doors is a godsend as parking is at a premium in the city. Spotlessly clean and bright, with a well-equipped kitchen, the apartment was more than comfortable. A light-filled bathroom, with shower over bath = & a lovely view of the cathedral tower (200 metres up the hill) as a bonus! Good bed & bedding, if a little low for older bones, like mine, but to real problem. Ideally suited to a couple or a family of 4 (2 single beds in the 2nd bedroom). A covered corridor from the garage to the apartment, with a short staircase to the front door. If travelling by car, strongly recommend a visit to Fontenay Abbey, about 90 minute drive north. Truly worth the effort. No hesitation in personally recommending this property.

Nous avons été très bien reçus par Chantal. Le parking est privé et suffisamment grand. L’emplacement est idéal, à proximité des commerces, de la cathédrale, c’est en plein centre ville. L’hébergement est très silencieux. On dort au calme. Il y avait la télé, idéal pour les dessins animés enfants. Plusieurs guides à disposition qui permettent d’en savoir un peu plus sur l’histoire de la ville. C’est un hébergement optimal pour les familles à un tarif raisonnable pour la prestation proposée. Vaisselle à disposition, lave-vaisselle, machine à laver, café, huile, etc. Si nous devons revenir nous choisirons cet endroit à nouveau.

Sehr angenehm, wirklich nette Stadt mit viel Geschichte, auch drumherum. Sehr nette Gastgeberin und das Appartment hatte alles was es brauch. Wenn das Auto nicht viel größer ist als ein Opel Zafira, dann ist das ein-und ausfahren aus der Garage kein Problem. Ruhige Lage und doch sehr nah, eigentlich direkt in der Innenstadt.

Wir fanden eine im Zentrum Autuns gelegene und sehr gut ausgestattete Wohnung vor. Die Gastgeberin war immer sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Ein absolutes Highlight ist die abgeschlossene Garage, die zur Wohnung gehört. Die Kathedrale, mehrere Museen, das Stadtzentrum, das Amphitheater u.a. lässt sich fußläufig erreichen.

Appartement conforme à la description , l'accueil de la propriétaire était parfait et à l'écoute de ses locataires. Propreté du logement impeccable et bien équipé , il ne manque rien .Gite parfait et bien situé en centre ville sans bruit , idéal pour des balades à pied et également des visites aux alentours .Le plus de cette location c'est le garage avec portes automatiques . Bref nous avons passé un agréable séjour ( 14 jours ) et avons découvert une partie du Morvan .Rien que du positif
