This was one of the most comfortable, spacious and beautiful cottages I have enjoyed as a B&B. The host Denice is just wonderful. Everything was perfect, we did not want to leave!
What can we say? This place is bigger than we expected, situated right across a very peaceful lake with a lovely garden. You walk in to the smell of freshly baked bread. We loved being able to make our own breakfast with food provided, as well as the delicious juice, coffee, and fruit. Check in and check out were effortless and Denice was in touch to ensure all was going well. We were sad to leave after just one day.
A beautiful and well appointed cottage overlooking the lake.Just a short walk to the town centre, local playground, pub and electric car charger.Great communication with Denise, thank you, we had a great stay.

We loved having Luke’s group stay and supporting Lions heart for learning.
From the smell of freshly baked bread, to the wonderfully clean and welcoming home, we loved our stay. Gorgeous sunset over the lake topped off by the delicious breakfast provided.
Can’t wait to stay again!
We loved our stay at Dalton on the Lake, a unique and charming cottage in a good location. From the welcoming smell of fresh baked bread on arrival, to the selection of breakfast items and homemade cookies, to the comfortable rooms and amenities along with the location opposite the lake we couldn't have asked for a more relaxing environment to spend our week at Meningie.
The property was roomy with plenty of space for 4 people. The king beds were fantastic and the breakfast Denice left us was very enjoyable
Denice certainly knows how to cater for her guests and presented a beautiful home with all the added extras
We felt very spoilt by the fresh home baked bread and all the lovely supplies for afternoon tea and breakfast the next morning.
Property is in a great location opposite the lake and waterfront walking path and was beautifully presented.
Thank you for your hospitality.

Thank you for staying with us and sharing our little piece of paradise :-)
Beautiful home with fantastic amenities. Freshly baked bread and bacon & eggs for breakfast, delicious. Great spot right by the river and short walk to town. We especially enjoyed the spa bath and fishing rods that we used for a quick fish trip right out the front on the Hunter Park platform.
We had a lovely stay - all the creature comforts, lots of personal touches and beautifully warm upon arrival. Breakfast provisions were generous and delicious.
We had seen mixed reviews about Freshies cafe but enjoyed a really delicious meal there.
Overall a great stay.
We absolutely loved our stay. The minute we opened the front door, we were welcomed by the wonderful smell of freshly baked bread. The cottage was beautifully presented with everything we needed to enjoy our stay, with bed linen included. So much attention to detail. Breakfast provisions were generous (eggs, bacon, tomatoes, milk, juice), as well as home cooked cookies and sweets. Not expected but definitely appreciated. We walked the two available kayaks across the road to the lake directly opposite the cottage and enjoyed a morning paddle. PFDs were available to borrow. Was a great base to go and explore the surrounding areas. The spa bath was also enjoyed by the family and a relaxing way to end the day. We were lucky to meet the owner and she is a lovely lady who really knows how to make her guests feel welcome. Would love to visit again in the future. Would definitely recommend.
From the initial booking through to leaving the entire process was so simple and easy. Denise made us feel welcome and the freshly cooked bread on arrival was the icing on the cake. Couldn’t think of anything else you would need for a beautiful stay only ours wasn’t long enough! The personal touches went above and beyond. Would highly recommend.
We enjoyed our stay at Dalton’s on the Lake. The accommodation is comfortable, the kitchen is well equipped with generous breakfast provisions.
The extra touches of fresh baked bread on arrival (incl. enough ingredients to try baking your own), fresh fruits, juice, yummy home made biscuits etc were appreciated, thanks Denice.
We arrived on a day that was quite warm and although there is no air-conditioning there are ceiling fans in the bedrooms and living room, Denice dropped off a pedestal fan for the dining room at our request. The ceiling fans were sufficient at night as the overall temperature is cooler at night.
You will need to share the backyard (kayaks), if the two-storey property is also rented; which was the case when we were there. Not a huge issue in this instance as the couple in the joining two-storey property were only there for one night and were quite friendly.
You just need to walk across the road to launch the kayaks (life jackets supplied) in a reasonably sheltered section of the lake adjacent to the caravan park.
We were a family of four who enjoyed the comfort of Dalton’s during our stay and enjoyed taking in the lake views and cool breezes. Thanks Denice.

We always enjoy catering for families and sharing our little piece of paradise.
Lovely property, met all our expectations so we have a great relaxing break. Great central location as we explored the north and south Coorong, easy walk into town and a kayak was great to paddle the lake and the best treat was to walk in to freshly baked bread!
